We were just in Marco Island, FL and we didn't know whom to call for transportation from and back to the airport in Ft Myers. So, we typed in transportation in Marco Island, and Classic Transportation was one of the highest rated companies. So, we called and booked. It was so easy. They were so nice on the phone. When our driver was waiting for us at the airport, even though our flight was delayed an hour and a half, and we didn't fly in until around 1:00 am or so, he was so sweet. He introduced himself, and he talked to us the whole way to the hotel. Told us things about the island, we talked about family, etc. He made us feel like part of his own family. His name was George. He definitely, hands down, was the best driver we've ever had. We also had a driver take us back to the airport, who was really great too. We don't remember his name, but he was also very sociable. BEST IN MARCO!!! I've been using this company for over 10 years and their dispatch and drivers have been nothing short of wonderful! They EASILY have the nicest cars out of any of the other taxi services on the island. Their dispatch is always so nice, and very professional when I have called to make a reservation. Classic Transportation was awesome. I recently used them for my family coming to a wedding on Marco Island. The van showed up and had all the child seats we requested. What a blessing! We did not have to drag them from home. Our driver, Alex, was super helpful. Our 3 year old was not feeling well and he drove us to Walgreens and told us about the Urgent care clinic on the island incase we needed it. Alex even suggested our return pick up time be made earlier for loading the kids and traffic. Flight out of DC was delayed multiple times and I was traveling with my boss so I really wanted things to go smoothly once we landed. Being greeted by a smile and a firm handshake was relieving to say the least. These are the most unprofessional drivers I have seen in a long time. They will cut you off when driving and yell at you. The first time it happened to me I just made note of the company but it continues to occur. They may ACT kind and courteous while they have a paying customer but they are wreckless drivers otherwise. My family went to Marco Island to celebrate my dads 65th birthday. We booked a day-cruise at Rose Marina and needed to get 8 people there from the Marriott beach resort. The hotel concierge recommended Classic Taxi and we were happy he did. They provided a passenger van and driver to transport us.
