Apprehensively I took it in to this leather shop and the owner convinced me to remove the seat so he could keep it. He let me drive off on a cut piece of foam! I came back two weeks later, and he had found the exact match for my leather, and rebuilt the seat cushion, so that it matched marker other leather, absolutely flawlessly. It's only about a mile away from D&G Auto Repair in Watertown. He was absolutely right! From the first phone call, Vatche (the owner) was incredibly helpful. He gave me clear directions to his shop, making it super easy to find. Once I arrived, he kindly offered me a ride to a local place while he worked on my car for a couple of hours. He dropped me off at the nearby library and picked me up 90 minutes later, talk about superb customer service! When I returned, I was thrilled to see my 2017 Subaru Outback wagon driver seat looking brand new. Vatche took the time to explain the repair process, showed me the part he removed, and even gave me a quick tour of his shop. A1 Auto Upholstery can truly handle anything from collectible luxury cars to boats and all kinds of leather work. The turnaround time was fast, the quality top-notch, and the price fair. From start to finish, my experience with Chris (the owner, designer, fabricator, land rover enthusiast, and all around nice guy) was very positive. I had heard about Badger tops through multiple internet forums and then contacted him over a year ago to discuss what I was looking for in a replacement top for my Defender. Several months later I called him again to place an order. He already had a few designs on his website to pick from but offered further customization if necessary and was always willing to talk about the unique benefits of each design in order to help select the top that is right for me. It's important for everyone to note that fabricating a custom, hand crafted product such as a large canvas soft top takes time (months, not weeks). The folks at Badger do their best to deliver your order as quickly as possible, but let me be the first to tell you that it is worth every minute of waiting. The quality of the soft top is absolutely incredible. The fit and finish is second to none. Anyone who has wrestled with the factory soft tops of Jeeps, Land Rovers, Land Cruisers, Broncos, etc. knows that their tolerances are beyond awful making them nearly impossible to put on without either damaging the top or your own body. Badger tops are the complete opposite. It's as if they were cut with laser precision and are stunningly easy to mount by a single individual without any additional help. I chose the canvas top which is significantly thicker than the factory top which provides better thermal and sound insulation. Once mounted, they fit snugly, are easy to adjust and tighten, and look fantastic. This is by far the best investment that I've made for my Defender. It's not every day that you run into a company that still takes such incredible pride in their craftsmanship. My hats off to Chris and his team! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their Land Rovers.
