My engine light was on and after checking with my scanner it was sending me codes that suggested my HVAC was the problem. They called me to tell me the car was ready, and there was no HVAC problem at all. It was just a glitch in the computer. I've got to make a plug for Driver's Edge Truck and Auto. I like to do as much to my own vehicle as I can with my skills and tools available, but when I encounter maintenance or repairs I have neither the tools nor the skills for, I say "screw it" and call these guys. Most recently, Driver's Edge did a fabulous job on my little Subaru Forester. The SUV needed rear brake rotors and pads replaced, and in the process they discovered the source of a rattle from the exhaust system I was hearing around 1,400 RPM...which turned out to be a common issue Subaru Outback/Forester owners face, a heat shield over the exhaust manifold that comes a bit loose and rattles. I was aware of this issue, but unaware Driver's Edge did exhaust work...they called and asked if they could repair it, to which I said "Absolutely!" It was very nice driving home from their shop to not hear that tinny rattling at 1,200-1,400 RPM. I previously had them perform a brake fluid flush when my fluid got too old and that job was done well and quickly also. These folks are super professional and when they diagnose your car and need to take action to repair or replace anything, they give you a call first rather than just throwing the parts on your car and charging for it. Just one tip...Be sure to book 3ish weeks in advance of when you want service, as Driver's Edge is a popular shop for good reason! I brought my Polaris slingshot to Drivers Edge to have lights put on my wheels and underneath for under glow. This was the first slingshot they have done (and hopefully not the last). They did a tremendous job. Jessica and Mike were wonderful to work with. Very professional and friendly. Would recommend them to all slingshot owners who may be looking to jazz up their ride with some lights! read more

After it was all but destroyed elsewhere, I finally drove my formerly pristine 1994 F-350 that I have owned since new, to Driver's Edge. My truck was skipping, vibrating, polluting and nearly stalling at idle. Driver's Edge stepped up to tackle the major job of sorting thru the huge mess. No small feat, but they were up to the task. Their work has been outstanding and my truck now runs great! Of note is that Dana Hard, owner of CAMCO Racing Engines in Weymouth who personally built for me a strong solid engine, had a conversation with Mike, the owner of Driver's Edge. Dana later described Mike as: "A very knowledgeable fellow." Mr. Hard has been building engines with precision for 50 years and is top rated. Where do I begin? First Mike installs a new Edelbrock carburetor of his choosing that's known for severe hesitation and lack of performance in my 455 '81 Bird. Asked about the slow response and he says "it's because the car is old!" The original Q-Jet carb that just needed a tuning ran much better though. I go elsewhere and get a mechanized Holley and what a difference! So I'm out $419 plus labor for nothing. Then after installing a reverse light mechanism on the transmission I notice the shift cover wasn't put on straight. Installs a washer fluid container, the fluid sprayers weren't operating. Brought it to his attention. Charged to redo both. Nothing's backed? Take my car out of storage this Spring only to discover an oil leak. Bring it to a mechanic he says it was coming from a loose bolt from the mechanized oil pressure gauge, which Mike installed. I ask if Mike can help with me with replacing the oil soaked carpet? I had some extra carpet. I get the should've had it tightened here on regular service appointments excuse amongst a couple others. Not even an offer to just clean it or something. I leave a message about my complaints for him. He responds in typically unprofessional fashion with swears and tells me he'll call me the next day. That was June 10th. I wasn't holding my breath anyway. I say typical, because he also told me that my prior mechanic and I knew nothing about cars or carbs for that matter, and that my car was old. I have the same but older car and it runs a lot better these days from someone else's tuning skills. Also, I had to pay cash even when the charge machine was working again. $3600. He quotes me $1500 to change my oil pans gasket. I paid $390 somewhere else. Get quotes elsewhere to keep him honest. I know someone who got a quote 3k cheaper for new wheels and tires. Though Mike did match it, and still made money. On another quote. even a dealer was hundreds less expensive. My dad used to say, Dillinger used a gun. Lol! These guys are great! I had them put on a Magnum headache rack, new fog lights, new light bar and Bakflip tonneau cover all over the phone without ever meeting them. Dropped my truck off and it was done when they said it would be and picked it up after they closed. They came highly recommended from a friend, and I couldn't be happier. I brought them my pickup they said they worked on FITECH fuel Injection well after one week and almost 1000dollars the truck didn't run any better the owner told me because they didn't build it, it would be hard to fix and to leave it.
