Angie was an attentive and welcoming host, and her country breakfast could not be beat for miles around. A little whimsical as far as decorations and interior design, but extremely charming and cozy. My wife and I would absolutely stay here if we were were in the area again. Book here expecting to be taken care of and have a good "home base" for whatever you'd like to do near Palmerton and the surrounding towns.

Angie is one of the kindest, most hospitable bed and breakfast hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She would check in, ask if we needed anything, but without hovering. The Roth House itself is a country house. I think it is advertised as "your Grandma's house in the country" so you shouldn't expect 5 star amenities, but everything is clean, maintained, and well decorated to suit the "grandma's house in the country" aesthetic. I think they said it used to be a boarding house. We would absolutely stay again just for Angie's kind hospitality and delicious breakfast. I don't know if they are still doing this, but if you pay cash, they'll give you a slight discount. I would recommend if you're a sensitive sleeper bringing a noise machine or using your phone for white noise to help block out the street traffic, but even that was pretty minimal. Also, don't worry about the sulfur smell in the water when taking a shower, the water is piped in from an underground well, but it is 100% safe to use. Loved the Roth House!

We weren't happy so Scott &Jacki made things right and gave us a voucher to come back in the future, when the virus subsides. They were extremely kind in doing this and we are extremely grateful. We can't wait to get to relax at their B&B and get to experience the full experience of their hospitality.

We stayed in the Lavender Room where the temperature was just right, the bed was so comfy that we slept for nine hours, and there was privacy. The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.

It had classy vibes but on a budget which is exactly the types of places I enjoy going for drinks. 4 of us hung out there and had 2 rounds each and I was floored with how reasonable the pricing was! I almost didn't want to write this review so that no one else would go and I could keep this little gem of a bar to myself! Check-in went well enough, the person who checked us in was functional. Not rude but not really pleasant either. The downstairs common area is beautiful and the room itself was quaint and cute! Everything was also clean and kept. There was a small annoyance however. In our particular room there was an air conditioner right at the ceiling above the bed which had a very bright blue light. There was no way to turn it off unless you turned the AC off, so if you're anything like me and need it to be dark, bring a mask or something. My husband even said "I feel like we're on the moon..."

A great array of books in the room and downstairs in the parlor, Shel Silverstein, George Orwell... The Historic Benner Mansion built in 1914 has been restored in all its proverbial glory. Comfortable warm and cozy. We stayed overnight on a rainy cold February night and the home was perfectly temperature-controlled, we were even able to go downstairs to the dining area for a midnight snack in our socks, that's how warm the beautiful original wood floors are throughout the two floors we inhabited. We stayed on the second floor in General Trexler's Quarters, a beautiful large, well-lit (windows all around with lamps and a candle) corner room with a separate dressing room and it's own large private bathroom with bathtub/shower. The four poster bed was comfort-beyond, the two teal upholstered seats in front of the television are comfy and great for reading, sipping tea &/or watching black & white Westerns on the tv. The roll-top desk in the bedroom was owned by General Trexler himself! We brought tea up to the room and read books and napped before heading out to a gig in Bethlehem. Breakfast is included, eggs & bacon, in the morning. Plus English muffins and jams, coffees and teas from a Keurig and hot and cold cereals are avail 24/7 in the dining room for your snacking pleasure. We will be back!

I booked the Benner Mansion for a bridal shower this past March. Sam was warm and welcoming,…read morepatiently answering numerous questions I would text her. This being the first shower I had planned myself it was a great comfort to have Sam be there every step of the way; she was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process. We were able to meet beforehand to plan the floor layout as well as the itinerary. With Sam's permission we were able to drop off decorations earlier in the week and arrived early Saturday morning to decorate. On the day of the shower the mansion looked absolutely spectacular; candles lit and flowers in all the right places. We made use of the piano on the first floor and had a pianist play during the shower. Guests continually asked us how we found just a gem! The Benner Mansion was lovingly restored by the Bennett family and is a beautiful building full of history and architecture; Sam knows every inch of the place and the story behind it. We jumped on the opportunity to book the entire mansion, and 5 of us were able spend the night after the shower. What a treat! I booked a dinner reservation for us at Union and Finch, which was within 2 blocks walking distance. When we returned from dinner we found the mansion was toasty warm despite the cold temperatures outside and we enjoyed libations late into the night. When we retired to our respective bedrooms, we found they were wonderfully turned down and the beds were waiting for us to climb right in. The next morning we had eggs and bacon for breakfast, along with coffee, and toasted English muffins. We all slept comfortably through the night and remarked how insulating the mansion was despite being in a city landscape. I had a wonderful experience working with Sam that will go beyond a business relationship. We are now family :)
