What a great weekend getaway from Manhattan! This B&B is so…read morecharming with its authentic Victorian decor. The minute we arrived we felt transported to another place and time! Lynn, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful throughout our entire stay. We were in the Anne James suite and it was beautiful. The room was large, comfortable and romantic. The ensuite bathroom was very nice and had a large Jacuzzi tub for two with candles all around (which you're allowed to light). Lynn serves a home cooked 3 course breakfast in the dinning room which was a highlight of our stay there. The food was fresh and delicious! You can walk to everything in Frenchtown which is so convenient. There are lots of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and antiques. If you go definitely check out the Frenchtown Inn for dinner or lunch. They have fantastic food and service. Also, make an appointment at Euphoria Spa for a massage or facial! We were blown away with how great the spa was--- and again it's walking distance from the B&B. We also took a drive over to Lambertville (about 20 min) and visited the town. It's a bit bigger than Frenchtown, and you can walk across the bridge to New Hope PA for more stores and shops. Overall it was a really fantastic getaway that turned out to be much better than what we expected. You won't be bored and there is lots to do. We plan to return in the fall for another quiet getaway and spa visit!

We stayed in the privacy suite, and after reading all the wonderful reviews, I just hoped that it would be as great as it sounded! It certainly met all of our expectations! The owner, Lynn, gave us a tour when we arrived and made sure we knew how everything worked and they were happy to give us recommendations for restaurants in the area. They were accomodating when we arrived a little past their 3-6pm check-in because our bus was late. Speaking of, we chose this place because we didn't need a car at all to get there or to get around! We took the trans-bridge line bus from Manhattan and it drops you off right in Frenchtown. Then Frenchtown is so small, we did everything we wanted to do just by walking. The room: Very clean and homey, with a very large bathroom with jacuzzi. Very romantic room, with candles surrounding the jacuzzi. They provide robes and a bottle of wine and the room also has books and magazines for your reading pleasure. It is very well-thought out, and even though it had a tv, we didn't turn it on once. The breakfast: We stayed for two nights, so I have two breakfasts to review. In the privacy suite, they deliver breakfast in a basket to your door, and you set up the table in your room with the placemats in the basket. Our first morning we were served waffles with blueberries, a warm peach pastry (maybe cobbler?), freshly baked corn muffins, yogurt, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Our second breakfast was totally different and equally delicious: sausages, breakfast potatoes, brocolli and cheese quiche, bowl of fruit (cantelope, blueberries, and cheeries), two more muffins (one blueberry, one cinammon nutty type), yogurt, and orange juice again. We couldn't even finish our breakfast the second day, there was so much food! Activities: We did Paddle Creek Kayaking (highly recommend), and ate at Bridge Cafe (so-so), Frenchtown Inn (I would stick to their Grill room), and Bamboo House (average asian food). If we ever return to Frenchtown, we would love to stay here again!

I cannot say enough about our stay at the Inn at Peacefield Farms! It was one of, if not THE, best…read morebed and breakfast experiences that I had ever had. I do not even know where to start, because there are just so many details to touch on, so I am just going to comment on everything bullet-style below: Proprietors: Stacy and Aram are the friendliest people! They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Aram built the inn from scratch and no detail was overlooked. Stacy runs the horse stables and manages the inn, and she is gracious, attentive, and very sweet. Grounds: Ride up the long, fence-lined driveway to discover Peacefield Farms, a beautiful, 80-acre horse farm. The Inn is a sprawling home with 8 bedrooms with private baths, 2 dining rooms, 2 living rooms, a large kitchen, a study, and a comfortable patio with rocking chairs overlooking a large pond. Guests can fish, ride horse, enjoy wine by one of their fire pits, or just relax with a book on one of the voluminous couches. I actually did a 30-minute trail ride on horseback and had such a lovely time! Stacy took another guest and me around the property and into some wooded trails; it was such a fun experience! My Clydesdale, Luke, was beautiful and a total sweetheart. Rooms: We stayed in Room 8, which was on the ground floor and easier for my partner to navigate, versus the others that were up a set of steps. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable with loads of places to store luggage or clothing. The room also included a television if you wanted to watch in private, though guests could also utilize the large one in the living room. The bathroom was modern, offered a large stall shower, and had tons of free space. I should call out that there were soap, body wash, lotion, and shampoo, but no conditioner, so you might want to bring your own. Breakfast: The complementary breakfast included standard continental items: cereal, English muffins, blueberry crumb cake, yogurt with berries and granola, hard-boiled eggs, coffee/tea, orange juice, etc. Special touches: We were gifted a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. There were also oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies baked by Aram that were waiting for us in the foyer. Chocolates, bottles of water, and local area guides were other nice fixtures. Location: Though not in a densely populated area, the hotel was 2 minutes from the Pittstown Inn, 5 minutes from Beneduce and Mount Salem Vineyards, 15 minutes from the quaint villages of Clinton and Frenchtown, 20 minutes from the Ironbound Farm and Ciderhouse, etc. Everything was really out of this world, and we cannot wait to go back to the Inn at Peacefield Farms. We were so happy that we discovered such a hidden gem and truly fell in love with the place. Again, I cannot say enough about how fantastic the place is and highly recommend a stay!

First- the decor is open and airy in a rather idyllic setting- perhaps late 18th, early 19th century building? I don't recall the precise date. The southern dining room is well lit and sets betwixt a canal on the West and the Delaware River on the East. Both of which can easily be viewed- along with a public tow-path for the canal. Yes, there is outdoor seating. The wine list is what you would expect, and that is not so say anything denigrating. We went with a 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Cellier des Princes Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Chasse des Princes) - while a bit young, it was kept well, and went swimmingly with our lunch, nor was it overpriced. The food. Moules Marinières. C'est magnifique! Tender. Flavourful. Fresh (as best as one can be 90 minutes from the sea). The broth was exquisite- not overly salted, and very respectful of the Mussels- very traditional and well executed. I will certainly be back here. In fact, speaking with another well travelled Wine Enthusiast/Foodie semi-local at a wine bar about Golden Pheasant, he shared much the same sentiment. Truly, this encompasses a roadside hidden gem.

We are fresh off of a stay at the Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi and already can't wait to return…read more My wife and I are big fans of B&B's so if the have a comfortable bed and a warm breakfast, it's hard for me to give them a poor review. We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!
