i gave my insurance info when i made the appointment. i had to take a lyft there bc i thought they were diluting my eyes and bc of my age did not want to drive. when i got there i find out there is no dilating and they didnt take my insuarance. this ride rt was approx $25 and i didnt get anything except them shutting me down. i have learned my lesson and will never ever make an appointment without the receptionist doing their dam job first and i can' understand why they even kept the appointment? another dei hire that has no idea what they are doing? probably!!! i say move onto another eyecare place and stay away from ths one. my issue is small and what other issues do they lay at your doorstepand pocket book? im would not trust them... read more

Arrived on time to 11am appt. Filled out paper work online but they couldn't find it. Sat for 20 minutes and knowing I had somewhere to be directly after I happened to check on how much longer it would be and were they behind? "Oh yeah we were just talking about that. There's still 4 people ahead of you. A 10, two 1030's and an 11. She's running a little behind." A bit? My bet is they have a late or no show policy because their time is important. Strange the world we live in where it's acceptable to be an hour late with no regard to another's time but demand your time he respected. I had a great experience with Classic Vision! I visited the Norman location. and saw Dr. Smith. He is extremely friendly, personable, and down-to-Earth, and I thought the prescription I was using from my previous optometrist was good, but with Dr. Smith's adjustments, I'm seeing even better! The office went above & beyond for me, even accommodating requests related to my epilepsy. I unfortunately had a seizure a short time after my eye appointment, which meant when they called to tell me that my contacts had arrived, I wouldn't be able to drive to go pick them up. OK law says you can't drive until you're 6 months seizure free, and I don't have family here that could have gotten them for me. When I communicated this with them, they went out of their way to mail me a trial pair so that I would not have to use Uber or Lyft, and then when I liked them, they mailed my year supply quickly after! The only thing unpleasant you might experience is the agony of choosing between which amazing frames you want, and in which color. They have a wonderful selection of trendy & classic frames, with more than decent pricing & options for every budget. read more

He also helped me determine the best lenses for my vision/nigh blindness. Even explained the quality of lenses vs. coatings that can be put on them. Ive had glasses & been to eye doctors for probably about 20 years & i can honestly say that they explained everything & were much more helpful & friendly than any place that i can remember. I was delinquent in going to an eye doctor as I don't have vision insurance but after reading great reviews of Classic Vision I have them a call with tons of questions - they were helpful and answered my questions and concerns with great patience, so I scheduled an appointment. After i scheduled via phone I got a text message confirmation- sweet! The office is clean and well organized, nothing too fancy but it's a doctors office, not a show room. I have never met an eye dr more clear and convince as well as concerned about my health and satisfaction as Dr. Smith. He really explains eye anatomy and health very clearly and helped me understand my own eyes better. The staff was very helpful and wanted me to try out different brands of contacts before committing to a whole pack. I am grateful to the Classic Vision staff for providing me with quality eye care. Very pleased with my first visit with Dr. Jake Smith and his staff. I had to switch optometrists due to a change in insurance coverage, and I just did a search with my zip code to find the closest one in my new network. I was lucky it was Classic Vision. They were able to get me an appointment within 10 days of me calling. The office is located in Brookhaven Village, and there was plenty of parking directly in front of the entrance. Dr. Smith had 2 women working for him that day, I didn't catch their names, but they were very friendly and couldn't have been nicer. I had a complete examination plus a discussion with Dr. Smith and I was looking for glasses after about a half hour. Very quick. With looking for glasses, picking out lens options, and paying, I was only at the office approximately 50 minutes. Definitely less than an hour. Dr. Smith has an excellent "chair side" (as opposed to bed side) manner. He was friendly and discussed not only my current vision health but the outlook for the future. He answered all questions thoroughly. Very good care. Additionally, his employees were very helpful with helping me pick out frames and deciding on lens options. I went into Classic Vision Family Eyecare as a new patient today as I was needing to get an updated eye exam to be able to get new glasses (Had been 5 years since I had my last exam; before I moved out here. When I walked inside, I checked in and the front desk lady was very kind and helpful and had me checked in within minuets. The wait wasn't long once I checked in. The next lady to help me was also very helpful. Very kind and had the pre-exam done in minuets. Next, Dr. Smith was very helpful. He understood what I was looking for and understood I was trying to stay within a fair and reasonable price. After my exam, the final lady to help, was very helpful too. I wasn't sure if I planned to buy glasses from Classic Vision or go with Costco as that's where I had previously got glasses. I decided to go with getting two pairs (one regular and one sunglasses) at Classic Vision because the staff was very friendly, they understood what I was looking for and what I needed. Very pleased with every visit I have made, Dr. Smith takes his time and explains everything he is doing and asks and answers the questions I wouldn't think to ask. I have never felt rushed like they wanted to get you in and out to get the next patient in like at my previous Optometrist. They are also very accommodating in making appointments, I work out of town for long periods and am only home a few days before I leave again and they always fit me in when I need to be seen. His staff knows how to bill insurance! He does a great job with exams. He solved my wife's migraine problem with his exam; he told her all she needed was stronger lenses! Dr. Smith and his staff were awesome! I didn't consider my vision to be deficient enough for correction but opted to make an appointment anyway. I had been to an optometrist in the past and was given a prescription for use while at the computer and while it did make using the computer more comfortable it wasn't a good fit for everyday use. Dr. Smith was very patient with me when going through the "better one or two's" which allowed me to be accurate in my responses. Since I didn't feel pressured I believe this helped by ensuring he received the correct responses and thus getting me the correct prescription. In the end it really payed off, I couldn't believe the difference a very light prescription made in my vision. It's now been three months since my appointment and fitting and I wear my glasses constantly. Thinking back on Dr. Smith's demeanor and level of care I can really tell he enjoys what he does and has a passion for giving his patients the best eye care hands down. read more
