Dr. Max Venard is so amazing. My dad works in a machine shop, and so sometimes he gets things in…read morehis eyes. Even when he gets home late, he can call Dr. Vernard who will meet him at his office after hours to extract them and give an antibiotics drops prescription. I myself have had a branch scrape my eye before, and I was able to have him check it out with my mom at 10 pm. Or sometimes they will get us in at last minute during the day if we need it. So he really cares about the people who come in. The office itself is a stand alone one and looks warm and inviting. Dr. Vernard is great for kids and adults, and they a selection of cute frames, including the Lisa Loeb collection.

So the lady helping us was not rude in the traditional sense but her tone of voice was "better than…read morethou". There was an issue with our insurance where it looked as if it had been used. She was not interested in helping by her voice tone till I told her it had not been used. Then she responded very put out that we still wanted to use the insurance and not just pay cash. She didn't offer solutions and finally called the insurance and amazingly as we had said we had not used the benefit and we were able to use the benefit. I would rather stab my eyes out with pencils than have to deal with her and her condescending tone and attitude again.

So we got up and left and we went to another place that's cheaper and friendlier and has a better selection. I have an autoimmune disease so a medication I'm on requires 6 month visits. I LOVE Irene, his receptionist. She always brightens my day. Dr. Razook is patient and listens to my concerns. He is very specific with his language to be sure I understand what he is saying. He is reassuring and has never failed to resolve my eye issues. I trust his expertise and now my husband sees him, too. He has wet macular degeneration. Dr. Razook sent him to Dr. Haivala who is also phenomenal. His practice has gotten much busier now. Others seem to feel the same way I do.

Memory at Visionworks was like an old friend and told me what looked good & what didn't. I need petite wear and she zoned right in on what would work. The glasses fit well & the progressive lens is much better than my last lens which were made by a pricey optometrist shop. They were also much more affordable than the optometrist office frames. I have VSP insurance & Visionworks is owned by them.
