This was my first time to Claudia's Nails and I was pleased with my experience. Parking: Street parking which was manageable between the main road and side street. Scheduling: I ended up calling their number because I didn't want my credit card to get charged being I would be paying cash for their Monday-Wednesday gel mani + regular pedi $55 special. I was able to make an appointment over the phone but did see making one on their website was super easy if not going for a special package. Service: I got a gel mani, regular pedi, and had gel nail polish on my fingers to remove. My appointment was 5:15, I was taken at about 5:20, and I got out of there about 6:55. Experience: I got there at 5:14 and just had a 5 minute wait until they were ready for me. In the meantime, I chose my color (Sweet Apricot). My nail tech was Kristi and she couldn't have been nicer. She took her time with the pedicure and manicure and was pleasant throughout it. As a side note, they had the Real Housewives of Rhode Island playing with the sound on which served as the perfect entertainment for the experience. INFECTION!!!! BEWARE!!!! (Pictures included, it gets worse & worse) We went in on April 16 for both my partner and I to get pedicures the day before our vacation on April 17. While I did notice dirty looks coming from both of the ladies performing the pedicures, I chose to focus on the quality of work rather than how uncomfortable both of these women (Irene and Diana) made us feel. Diana did a great job on my pedicure, so I will not criticize her work apart from the fact that she should keep her personal beliefs outside of her job. Irene, on the other hand, was completely dreadful. On top of making us feel incredibly uncomfortable, my partner left with both big toes infected. I've attached photos of the toes after the pedicure. We left for vacation on April 17, so I called the salon immediately. The daughter of the owner (I was never given her name) was very apologetic and gave me her personal phone number to review the photos of the poorly done pedicure. She gave me advice from her mother and told me to update her. I then texted her again on April 18 with updated photos showing that the infection had actually WORSENED after following what we were instructed to do. To this I never received a response... As a result, my partner was miserable throughout our entire vacation and was limping the whole time. I wasted $70, I didn't even ask for a refund, I just wanted some help to fix the horrible work that this woman did and was ignored. At this point, I hope the NJ State Board of Cosmetology will be better help. Even after dealing with this unprofessional behavior, I still paid & tipped without requesting any sort of refund (which, at this point, I am owed so it can atleast go toward any medical bill that the incompetence of your employee has caused). I tried Claudia Nail Salon for the first time in September and had a great experience. The prices are amazing and everyone was so sweet and professional. Ms. Graciela did my nails and she did an amaaaazing job, my set lasted a full month with zero issues, & I'm not exaggerating. No lifting, no snagging cuticles, no need to apply glue, I did not have to do anything to them the entire month. If it weren't for the new growth, I probably could have gone even longer! Im sure it's not recommended, but they were so secure. For a first visit, I am super satisfied with the results. If I didn't live in Georgia, I would go to her regularly. Looked for a reliable nail salon while being new to the area, and happy to have stumbled upon this place. My natural nails were in BAD shape but they were able to fix them with UV gel. (I initially tried calling Lyndhurst Nails, and they told me they couldn't fix them. So, good to know I'll be taken care of here from now on!) The ladies here are nice, and the space is clean. The owner walked in and it was her birthday, so it was cute to see her staff bring her things to celebrate. Nails came out really cute and I know they're gonna last til all my breaks grow out and I can start fresh again with short nails. But I'm happy to see my long nail journey last a little while longer. I really like this place. I have been here twice and even took my mom. Nails are done nicely with no noticeable space between the cuticle and the polish. Stacy does my nails but it seems all the girls know what they are doing. They have you sanitize your hands at the door and only take clients by appointment due to Covid. I was going to this salon for pedicures with a coworker for a year, once a month consistently. Last time we were there when they took the polish off we noticed out toe nails looked brittle. My friend immediately asked "is that fungus?" since she is an esthetician and was concerned. The ladies doing our pedicure immediately say no that it's just like that because of the removal. Also saw the lady next to me, and her nail beds looked the same so I really thought okay.. maybe it is the acetone....Okay... a week later my friends toes start chipping so she decides to take off her polish. When she discovers it is fungus. The early stages of nail fungus when your nail has little white lines. The best way to describe it is if you have ever gotten gel polish or acrylics and instead of letting your nails SOAK you rip the polish or acrylic off. And you see and feel the layers of nails underneath, but with fungus when you go to touch your nail it's smooth just white streaks. She immediately calls me up to take my polish off. We had the same case. It's been winter time, we didn't go to no beaches or pools, we have two office jobs, we aren't picking at the polish, this was FUNGUS. I have been getting pedicures once a month for YEARS!!! Never ever have I had this problem. EVER. I still get my finger nails done (at a different salon I've been loyal to. Thank GOD- otherwise I would end up with fungus on my hands too, I like the way they do nails not pedicures) once a month. I immediately panicked. Went out and bought anti fungal medicine and applied it religiously 3 times a day. When I woke up in the morning, when I came home from work, and at night before bed on clean feet. Summer is coming up and this needed to be GONE. I've never not had painted toes and refuse to wear open shoes without a fresh pedicure. Anyways, really loved this salon and even the girl doing my pedicure but unfortunately the health of my toenails come FIRST. Thought I should share my experience. If you find yourself in the same position wash your feet with tea tree oil soap and buy "Silka Max Strength Antifungal Liquid with Brush Applicator for Toenail Fungus Treatment" from Amazon $10! But works like a CHARM. Took a month of regularly applying but from what I heard it takes MONTHS like 2-3 for it to be fully healed. read more

I first went here after a hideous experience at a different nail salon in Weehawken, NJ. My previous nails were lumpy, and were not taken care of properly. When I walked in, the nail tech at Claudia's evaluated my nails and told me that they would take care of me. She sat me down with another tech and they took off my set and put a new one on. They shaped them so fabulously, and the color is gorgeous. I appreciated the time they spent on my nails, and didn't try rushing even though I was a new customer.
