The technician then persuaded me into getting a pedicure as well -- a decision I sincerely regret. Toward the end of the pedicure, I started feeling a burning sensation on my right foot. I didn't know why at first, since there was product all over my feet. But once it was wiped off, I realized there was a fresh open wound on my pinky toe. The cause? The technician was grating my foot like a block of cheese -- way too aggressively and absolutely unprofessionally. No certified tech should ever be doing that, especially not to the point of breaking skin and causing injury. (Assuming she's even certified.) When I brought this to their attention, no one cared. I asked to speak with a manager or owner, and no one would give me any information. No accountability. No apology. No discount. No credit. Nothing. Just blank stares. And to top it off? The same technician who cut my foot stood at the counter expecting a tip. My total came to $105, and not a single person tried to make it right -- they still charged me full price knowing I was injured under their care. Completely unacceptable. It was a day when the weather was still recovering from a snowfall. The work ethic here is very customer-focused and professional. Lisa, my nail technician, is meticulous. I usually mention that I've had surgery on my big toe, but she thoughtfully inquired about it while trimming my toenail. I was impressed. She is very thorough with my pedicure, always explaining each step. Jenny also provided excellent service to my husband, demonstrating courtesy and professionalism. Most nail techs are very disgruntled to customers and nails either pops off or lifts within a week from my experience (with no strenuous work with hands). Pedicures are hit or miss depending on who you get (No Ann!). The Aesthetician/Cosmetic side does an amazing job! Pretty much everyone on that side (brows, lashes, etc.) Only thing their prices tend to increase frequently.
