Karina and her team are amazing! My pup has been coming see Karina for the last 4 years and It is honestly the only grooming salon I trust. I'm sure they're are many other great ones but the care she shows for the pups are what keeps me coming! My dog is a reactive dog due to being attacked at the dog park - I was so hesitant to bring her to a grooming salon where she'd react to the other dogs. I've come in many times where my pup is playing with new pups being groomed at paws and claws. That's comfort! read more

I read a very scathing review regarding this place. If I can ot speak to a human initially and the business is 'Text" primarily I won't do business with them I read the text messages and the author had every right to complain. As for threatening to get " the groomer's atty" involved - that is a red flag. Don't do business with any business that threatens you in any way shape or form. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I called to inquire about scheduling an appointment for my dog, and was told to text. I sent a text and received a message back. I returned a message, and then someone from the location called to set up an appointment. The appointment was setup and it was established. The day of the appointment I sent the vaccination status, and received a text in return acting as if I didn't have an appointment. Turns out they scheduled it for the next weekend. This was not discussed in our conversation. Whoever was behind the texting was super unprofessional and rude. They offered me the choice to cancel or reschedule my appointment, and before allowing me time to respond, they replied by saying they're canceling the appointment for me. I replied saying I'd write a review and was "threatened" they would share our text thread, of which disclosures nothing but their inadequacy and they'd get their attorney involved. They sent a final message saying I was blocked. All of this is super petty, and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place solely based on their behavior to schedule an appointment. read more

I took my Yorke to this groomer based on the reviews I talked to the owner for a couple of weeks about the whole process. Yes I was a worried mommy. Never had taken my sir prince to a groomer before. He was a recuse animal and don't know his past. Today was his big day. He did wonderful. I am so thankful and blessed that I found the only groomer I will ever use again. I've read all the reviews- good & bad. All I can say is that I've been taking my dog here for years and have never had an issue. He always looks great when I pick him up and they love him here. I have tried other groomers in the area and was not happy until I found Claws & Paws. My only complaint would be their availability but I work around their hours and my schedule. read more

This place is amazing took our boys today and they came back smelling better than ever they were so soft and their nails we shorter than we've seen them it took a bit longer than expected but it was so worth it. We just adopted our dog Charlie. He has social issues at times and we were kind of nervous at first to bring him in. We were calmed and assured from the minute we decided to take Charlie here. When I called to make an appointment, they were able to answer any question I had -- same was true in the few days leading up to it. Not to mention, Karina gave us her cell phone number: it's even posted on the door (on the DOOR!) of the business! Awesome customer service! The dogs and the people at C&P were so welcoming that Charlie didn't even fuss. He felt right at home! Yay! Charlie was SOOOOO happy when we picked him up!! He looked so sharp, clean, fresh, and spiffy!! Not to mention -- the details!! His undercarriage and feet were done so well (ready for any hot date should he choose! Lol!!). I called claws and paws to help me with my dog who is suffering with digestive issues, and allergies while we were here for a month from Minnesota. They had me bring her in that day and Dr Culpepper took a look at her between already booked appointments. Dr. Culpepper herself called me and reviewed everything over the phone before I went to pick her up. The staff was accommodating on the phone call, friendly in the check-in, and the follow up was amazing. I received a text later that day after I picked up my dog from the vet asking if everything was going OK. If you live in Dunedin, or anywhere near it, you need to go to claws and paws. read more

The groomer is super nice and the prices are great, buuut my pup got severe razor burn that got infected after her lady bits were shaved too close. It's been over a week and she's still healing. We might even have to take her to the vet if it doesn't clear up, so that would certainly eliminate the good price factor. My dog is a 7ish-lb shorkie puppy (8 mos). We brought her in for a touch up. For $30 she got a bath, nail file, tooth brushin', face/feet trim, and the unfortunate aforementioned nether regions cut. Again, I cannot reiterate how nice and accommodating this place is. When I picked up my baby she seemed to have good rapport with the groomer. But again, severe infected razor burn.. She might just have sensitive skin? I love the prices and people but that's not worth making my boo suffer so I probably will not return. read more

Before my Morkie passed away, he became very hard to handle. Countless other groomers refused to work with him or would call me before I even got out of the parking lot to pick him up-not Karina. She took the extra time to make sure he was still comfortable in his old age. My shih tzu is easy to handle, but we still drive past several other places just to come here. Love this place. Karina, the owner, and are staff are very polite and you can tell they love animals. She treats her 4 legged clients as if they are her own. My wife and I are very picky about the Vet and Groomer we take our baby too. Only the best for our Bentley. I drive an extra 30 minutes to have him groomed there. I feel the way he's treated and the great job they do, are worth it. Last January we lost our 14 year old Cocker Spaniel, Bandit, to cancer and Karina was very consoling and said just the right things during this very hard time we were going through. She also sent us a condolence card. If you love your baby as much as us, you will not be disappointed with Karina and her staff. read more

After hearing about how great this place was, I brought my goldendoodle in for his first hair cut. It was hard enough to get me to a place to cut off his fluff, in fear of him being "poodled", but I showed up to his appointment with a handful of photos and a very clear description of what I wanted and what I absolutely did not want. I said that I did not want his head to be cut at all or between his nose to be shaved. I only wanted a couple inches trimmed off of his body, as his fluff was 5" long. She assured me that she would never make him look like a poodle and she would do exactly what I wanted. My worries of him getting butchered disappeared and I felt confident that I would pick my doodle up just how I wanted. 4 hours later my boyfriend and I arrived at the groomers to pick up our pup. I immediately had tears. My doodle was poodled. I was mortified, and so was my boyfriend. My pups head was cut into a dome and he was shaved between the nose. exactly what I told her not to do and what she said she wouldnt do. On top of that, she left his legs with long hair and shaved his body down to maybe an inch of hair. we were both clearly upset because my pup looked exactly like the photo I showed, that I did not want him to look like. With us clearly upset, the groomer was very unprofessional and argued with us saying that she cut his hair, thats what she was supposed to do. She continued to say that the shitty hair cut would cost a $100 and if i didn't pay she would call the cops...as I was crying over my baby's butcher job. The groomer never once apologized, just continued to argue saying that this is the way he should be cut. It didn't seem to matter that we were upset. She went on to say that we were no longer welcomed there and that we needed to pay and get out. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!! very rude and doesn't listen. Also, my pups grooming was Saturday...it is now Tuesday and my pup has major razor burn around his anus and along his entire stomach because she shaved him raw in those areas. He hasn't been playful and hasn't been able to walk normal because of how sore he is. Its so bad that I now have to take him to the vet for medication, hoping it doesn't get infected. I am extremely disappointed and angry with this groomer. My boyfriend and I are both in professional careers and the customer service we received was unimaginable. I'm still in shock. read more
