On a roadtrip through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, my wife and I decided to stop at Clay Street Grill for dinner as we passed through the town. There wasn't much in the way of local, non-chain, food places, so Clay Street Grill was it. My wife ordered a salad, and I ordered a Reuben sandwich and onion rings. The salad was somewhat sad -- it was wilted and unappealing, and it had way too much dressing on it. The sandwich and onion rings were fine, but nothing special. We only had soft drinks. The place seems like one where locals gather to sing bad karaoke or down cheap beer. Who knows. It was ok, but I wouldn't go back

I'm back again. I like clay street grill. A simple sports bar with great food. My burger was great. Service is always great. Mostly a local place decent music.

Full order of nachos... says it serves 4 but I smashed the entire thing myself. It was DELICIOUS!

Always stop here when I'm in town for work, never been disappointed with anything here. From the service to the drinks and food.... all A++++ I can't tell you what to get to eat for food because it's all good and so much to choose from. Basically you can't go wrong here, give them a shot.

I waited over an hour from the time I ordered until I received my food. I ordered fish and chips and both were sitting in grease and very soggy because the oil wasn't hot enough when they cooked them. Food came served in a plastic basket sitting on greasy paper instead of a normal plate. I also froze my ass off because the heat was on so low. I was disappointed.

I had the meatloaf... (everyone's favorite) according to the menu. It was absolutely awful. Almost inedible, comparable to a frozen entree. .. restaurant was dirty.. service was just ok. Only thing that made this 2 stars and not 1 is the cheese sticks. Yuck.

We stopped by Clay Street Grill on our way to Cleveland. The service was good. Our waitress was Nicole, and she was friendly and attentive to our needs. There is a store right next to the restaurant, but we didn't take a look. We had the Italian Hoagie and the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli. The Italian Hoagie was okay. It's similar to Subway's Italian sub, but slightly better. However, the best part of our meal was the Stromboli. It was about the size of a football and as thick as one. There was so much deliciousness in the Stromboli that I'd drive an hour just to get it. We saw another patron get the calzone and it looked twice as big and just as delicious. If you come across this place, stop by for the Stromboli and calzone!

It's an OK spot for a cold beer and sandwich. The whole menu wasn't available for our visit, so, can't judge that

Have been eating there for years. Has steadily gone down in food and service. Was such a nice place when it was Bucks. Now a average bar.

Just had to leave a review for this place because I had a good laugh while reading Yelp reviews…read morewhile dining there. So I thought I would pop in for a more positive sort of review. First I want to say our server I believe his name was Chase was on top of it. He was very friendly, accommodating and energetic. I really wanted to like our food but some things were just kinda off , BUT BIG portions we could not finish anything. We started with the salad for two, it was beautiful & fresh looking but just was bland. Both the blue cheese and ranch dressing was devoid of flavor. The chicken Thai soup had amazing flavor but the chicken was just basically left over char grilled chicken breast that they cut into huge pieces and put in the soup. It was the type of chicken that would go on a salad. The chicken was good but just didn't fit with the soup. I was hoping for some more vegetables but there were zero. The truffle Parmesan fries were probably my favorite they needed some salt but felt healthy & homemade. My husband ordered the NY steak, he loved how it was cooked and loved the taste of the charbroil. So would definitely recommend that. The whipped mashed potatoes also he loved, they were kinda oily for my taste. Overall I truly hope they make it and read all their yelp reviews and make some positive changes :) Lastly the ambiance was clean, modern, comfortable booths and when we are driving thru the area we will probably stop in again. So if you are driving along the highway and want to check it out I would say give it a try.

The Farmer Butcher Chef Bistro Ashtabula County, OH…read more We stumbled into the coziest little farmhouse-style spot and wow... these burgers and steaks easily make our top 3 from all our travels. No frills, no extras needed- just perfectly cooked, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth burgers & steaks. And the jalapeño honey butter cornbread? Sweet, spicy, buttery heaven. The kind of side you dream about long after dinner. Sometimes simple really is everything.

I gotta say this was a nice find. We were out and about. Wanted some dinner. Started looking around…read morefor a close place. And found this place. We got there around 5:00p on a Saturday. People already eating and drinking. Deceivingly large. Walk in and bar is to your right. To the left are tables and such. We went to the bar. The bar had a good amount of people. We ended up close to the windows on the other side. It was fine. Bartender came right over. They have a good selection of alcohol. Flavored vodka's. I got salted Carmel with coke. Delish! Kathy got cucumber vodka and sprite. Very refreshing. We got menus and asked bartender to recommend some items. He said wings good, burgers good, chicken and waffles and Mac and cheese. Funny we didn't get any of those. Kathy got the brisket dinner. I got the rueben with a salad. Both good. And prices were good too. They came out in about 10 mins. Salad was good. The Rueben was hot . I ate half. Good amount of corned beef not too skimpy. Kathy's. Brisket looked amazing. And it was good. Brisket tender with side of baked potato and broccoli. BBQ sauce on the side. And a loaf of bread. All for $12.99. She ate half and took home too. It was good and filling. Bartender was nice and informative. Place had a good mix of people. Looks like a nice hang out. Prices were good. Drinks good. Can't complain. I'd definitely go back and try something else.
