Do NOT hire this company! They were hired by our real estate agent to do an inspection on a condo we are selling . They left a clogged dishwasher they signed off on as having "no problem" on before they left the condo after the "inspection"; it flooded the perfect wood floors . We are now having to get the flooring replaced; our condo can't be listed for several weeks while the floorboards are ripped out , the area underneath dried out , and new matching floorboards put in. It's the worst example of negligence we've seen. And it's costing us an extra month of mortgage , staging fees , etc . And of course we now need to disclose "water damage" in our disclosures to potential buyers ; all caused by Clayton Inspection. Stay far far away from them ! We're reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Oh , and they charged us $450 for this " service "! read more

Home inspections which are a hazardous danger. I put my 104 year old house up for sale. A perspective buyer hired Clayton Home Inspection Services to conduct a home inspection. The entire experience was ridiculous to the point of being surreal. Everywhere Roger looked he found some hazard or danger. For example, my new kitchen stove is dangerous, "Someone could open the oven door, stand on it, and the entire stove could tip over on him". Anyone stupid enough to do something like that deserves to have a stove dropped on them. Now I'm stuck with this idiotic home inspection report which I'm obligated to disclose to all potential buyers! read more

From a seller's standpoint, I think they could have done a lot better. He took the electric panel completely off the wall to look at wires and didn't even mention that beforehand, which was disrespectful. He also ran the dishwasher without mentioning he was going to do so. I had a full load of clean and dried dishes which had to dry all over again. She mentioned to him to turn off lights when done but after they left, lights were left on and closet doors left open. They were there for about an hour for a 647sf 1 bedroom but homes take 90 minutes so that was too much time. read more

The absolute best. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Although this was our first home inspection experience, I can't imagine it could get any better.
