They have a beautiful pool, that is well maintained and the outside restrooms are always sparkling clean! They have a nice childrens play area, a dog park, gym and clubhouse sitting area. The staff is always friendly and appear to be diligently working. The landscaping is pristine and I even see where they replace mulch frequently to keep things looking sharp. Last week they had a full spray down of all breezeways and outside balconies and everything looked so clean after. My only complaint is the parking, all tenants have a parking pass, but I frequently see the same cars sitting in visitor spots for days on end. Also, If you stop by after 9, there are literally no parking spots available in either tenant or visitor spots. Overall this is a great property with nice walking sidewalks to downtown and surrounding areas.

The leasing office was more than willing to work with my husband and I with moving out of state. My dog loves it here. There are so many other dog owners and it is very pet friendly. The dog park is not very lively, but I think the apartment owners are working on it. The mix of tenants is very appealing: young and old and all races. I can walk to downtown Clayton for exercise and fun community events. There are no surprise inspections or a feeling of invasion of privacy by management. They are very quick to respond to any maintenance issues and are on top of any emergency situations or weather events. My neighbors are trustworthy people who are inviting and supportive. The safe environment allows me to dwell here carefree. The PRICES are phenomenal. Why pay more to live in Raleigh when you can be just a step away in the beautiful town of Clayton? The schools here are great and the atmosphere is one of the suburbs and the country all in one. This neighborhood is up and coming and I would advise to jump on it now. Nearby cities of Garner and Cary have already been occupied and Clayton is following right behind. This is a prime destination to open a business or find a job and raise a family.

We really liked the pool area. It has a lovely outdoor bar, pool and BBQ area. Our family really loved it when they came too. Another great thing is it's right next to a Sheetz, so if we ever needed anything we could literally walk across the street and get it. They were very accommodating when we got our dog. They didn't charge us for anything when we moved out and they made it very easy for us. We left when our 1 year lease was up because we bought a house in Clayton. You can pay your rent online, which I personally loved because it was convenient and I didn't have to take time to go into the office. I had multiple deliveries from people and they would hold it for us until we got home from work, including an edible arrangement!

I didn't have my stick in my hand because it was about 8:30 am. An elderly gentleman was walking on the sidewalk the dog left me and went over to him. He fell and blood was everywhere. The dog owner couldn't even control there own dog yes it was off the leash. I called the police. I also called the dog pound police came the person that was bleeding. They refuse help. And dog pound told me since they didn't see the dog anymore wasn't anything they can do so I asked them if I had my gun on me if I shot the dog, what would've happened he said nothing self-defense. They also told me if it happened again. So when I walk now, I have my stick and my peace. Saturday, May 30 I went outside and it was a pitbull running off the leash and I ran back in the house.and by the time I went back out my neighbor told me to be careful. Beware if you decide you're gonna move here dogs do not be on a leash. I've complained about this. Nothing happen even when we have a dog park they decide to let their dogs, rip and run around the sidewalks instead of the park. Please do your research before you come here. Even if it was 97 degrees outside, it was a cold atmosphere in the office. Mr. Patrick would speak but not really conversant. The other manager was not a people person (at least to my family) even over the telephone, she always gave smart and rude remarks, she never smiled and always acted as if she wanted you (me) to drop off the rent and leave. But now there's a new manager in the office, everyone smiles, Mr.Patrick conversant and smiles more , the maintenance men are more generous, and it's because of Miss. Jenny. She has bought a new and welcoming attitude to the entire community. She smiles, and conversant with tenants, she decorated the office, with pictures, wall art, and flowers at the entryway, she goes out of her way to assist a tenant; and responds to your phone call with a kind voice, and a smile. Parkside Village is a better place to live because of a new manager, (although Mr. Patrick always smiles) Mr. Patrick is happier, and conversant more, the maintenance men are more happier, because Miss. Jenny showed who she is from day one; A people person, who treats you the way you should be treated and how she wants to be treated. Many times when working in a cold hearted environment you tend to take on that persons behavior ( rude, cold hearted) etc.; not realizing you are treating others thay same way due to your environment, but Thank God it is a more welcoming environment inside the office and outside the office. Now that they have not rented all the units, it seems as if you have a pulse, you can rent an apartment. car not running or regstered, no issue, they don't care. not picking up after your dog and jamming the compactor and don't worry, they don't care. Know this, they are small, overpriced and poorly constructed. Oh and don't get me started the lying office staff or the weekly police raids at the building by the tradh compactor. Home to drug dealers and. criminals. Do yourself a favor, if you can't afford the 24 units in the old mill, keep looking. Taft missed the mark and covered up the real story of the mill to include the white klansman owner who only hired white workers. Conveniently, that part of the story is not on the wall in the mill as it clearly would not help to rent units.
