Workers cleaned up daily and pretty thoroughly at completion. While I do wish there was a little more communication regarding updates to the project, I would definitely use this company again.

It was recommended by our realtor to have a complete roof inspection, and he recommended State 48 roofing. Specifically our realtor has worked with Juan and promised we would be pleased with their work and service. Juan arrived at the agreed upon time and did a thorough inspection. He removed tiles in several suspect areas and took videos showing the weathered underlayment, decaying battens, and actual current and potential leak areas. He then provided a quote to repair the damage and/ or in our case, replace the entire underlayment and re-lay the existing tiles. We were presented 3 choices of underlayment quality with varying warranty periods. We were able to agree on a competitive price for the top quality 30 year underlayment and they were able to schedule the work in a timeframe that worked for our schedule. They arrived on the scheduled day, and completed the job in 3 days as promised. The roofing replacement job is huge amount of work. It is very noisy and very messy. Each of the 3 days the crew cleaned up the site completely at days end. When the job was completed, the final cleanup was better than I expected. We are extremely pleased with the new roof. It looks great, was completed on time and at the agreed price. Only time will determine if it is indeed leak free, but having watched the job progress, I am confident it was done properly and will provide many years of service. I check obviously for plenty of good reviews. I'm looking for professionalism, timeliness, pride in workmanship, and just overall customer satisfaction. L and R past the the reviews. Plenty of people seem satisfied. The next thing is, I check their website if they have one. Most businesses do now have some kind of online presence. Theirs was very smooth and easy to navigate. I requested a quote online, and in about 24 hours got a response. The owner, Luis, came out, climbed the roof, gave me a rundown of what to expect, should I use their services, and told me they would not contact me again or try to pressure me. They certainly followed through on that. They did send a quote. Their website makes it very easy to accept the quote and has finance options. Their contract is laid out very straightforward, full disclosure. Nothing hidden. In this online business world, where people expect more online transactional capability, you just expect businesses to offer that. But many don't, particularly in the contracting world. So, anyone who is attentive to making it easy to transact online is very focused on their business, in my experience. It's just another sign of professionalism and tells me that probably they will also be attentive during the actual construction process. That's just my general experience. It does not always hold true. But in this case, it did. After the HOA approval, I decided to use them for the roof replacement. Costs were in line with about what everyone else is charging. I paid the 50% down, and got a call from Victor the foreman to schedule replacement. They were very accommodating and got busy. There was a minor hiccup, but not their fault. The supplier delivered the wrong tiles. I'm sure that caused a bit of stress for Victor, because they have plenty of jobs scheduled. Anyway, the day after the day they were supposed to do the work, the new tiles were delivered. And then the following Monday, the tiles were loaded onto the roof. The next day they were laid and completed at the same day. I'm no roofing expert, but have some common sense. I climbed the roof before they laid the tiles just to check out their work. All the flashings were very nicely placed. Everything seemed to be high-quality. The underlayment was very nicely laid. And, each day they cleaned up pretty well. When the work was completed, they cleaned up better than I had the yard cleaned up. Victor very professional. If I need any maintenance on the roof, I definitely would consider L & R again. He got me a quote within a day which included a complete roof including back porch. The quote was so good we said yez the same day. Besides the entire remove and replacing all the shingles they also replaced some wood on the back porch that was rotted including one post and some of the eaves. They less than a week later and ended up coming a day early and finished the day before a monsoon. I have gotten several positive comments from neighbors. The AC guys were able to come out and not slip! One great part was that even though some of the workers didnt speak great English, there we'd always a lead that was bilingual. Very nice to work with.
