After getting quotes from several area flooring companies I decided to go with Vision. John was a great salesman (very patient with all my concerns). I felt like we got a good deal and signed the contract. Now this is where everything starts. The installers (appeared to be knowledgeable and they were very nice) but the job was so disorganized. They started downstairs and then decided to move upstairs. So day 1 they did LR/DR and Master, Bonus room and 1/2 the hallway. My problem was they were walking (with shoes in and out) all over the new carpet. There was NO attention paid to this at all. It wasn't until day 2 when they said they ran out of carpet and I brought this to the supers attention was anything done about it (oh and the super said "thats a good idea to put down plastic; I'll bring that up in our next meeting". Seems to me after you are told when shopping around "NOT" to walk on your carpet with shoes that it should go without the customer saying anything that plastic is laid down. Oh and he also suggested having the "NEW" carpet cleaned for us. Did you know that every time you clean your carpet it breaks it down? It was when we installed our previous carpet 16 years prior. Now the running out of carpet thing was super annoying. What???? They wanted at first to leave the staircase (full of tack strips) for 2 weeks. Then, it was well we can leave the bedrooms and do the stairs. Very unorganized. And suddenly they find the carpet to complete the job. It was an exhausting day 2 with the installers here well past 8 pm. Day 3: The job gets completed and we are trying to get the house back together. Couldn't find furniture legs anywhere for the sofa and so the installer was kind enough to just pay me out of his pocket to order new ones on Amazon. By now I am so frustrated with the installation process I am questioning why I went with this company. The following Monday, the new manager or whatever she was calls. After going over the entire mess with her she offers me a $250 deduction. Ridiculous! But whatever. The carpet was now done and it does look nice. Now I just have to deal with this company on the "free" first cleaning within this next year. My suggestion is to shop around before using this company. He was an easy person to communicate with throughout the process. The staff were professional and friendly. Absolutely do not recommend. Their team is very disorganized, and the customer service has been a hassle from the very start. I came into the showroom after Christmas to purchase a piece of carpeting that was bound around the edges for my living room. I was told that the selection I made would be offered at a steep discount because it was a special order for one account that no longer needed it -- they were going to donate the rest anyway. In comparing prices for the size that I ordered, the discount I received was 30% at best. Further, I was told that the rug would be finished in about 2 weeks' time because of the holiday. No one communicated with me for any status update, and around the 2.5 week mark I had to call to ask where my rug was. No one had an answer, they didn't even have my paperwork according to the person on the phone at the time. Each time I called, it was a huge hassle to get someone to understand the details of my order. Additionally, I was always put on hold and then told that someone else would have to answer my question, and that person(s) was never in the office. Never received a timely callback, and would often have to call back myself for follow up. After almost 4 weeks, I called again with persistence to see where my rug was, and was finally told that it was ready. A delivery window was scheduled, but the delivery person never showed within the time. Again, I had to call to see where he was, because no one proactively reached out to keep me informed. It took me calling no less than 6 times over 4 weeks to get a simple 10ft by 12 ft rug delivered, and each time it was about a half an hour of hassle to inform someone what the details were from the very beginning. This company does not have their operations methods together - go with another company who can communicate efficiently to complete a simple project like binding a rug and delivering it by keeping their word. read more

So I went full Karen here. I feel like COAZ didn't do the job right to begin with. See pictures - carpet is cut to the inside of the doorway. Finally get COAZ out to fix it. They added more carpet and then tacked it down where I wanted it. What would they have done if I didn't keep pieces of the old carpet? Dunno. Then to make the transition at the doorway they used a tack strip across the doorway. According to the Carpet Rugs Institute 105 standards it explicitly states to not use tack straps across the doorway. I argued with them and they said this is how they do it and have done it for years. Sure. But just because that is how you've done it forever doesn't mean it is right. They used to use Abestos too. And we all know how that turned out. They pushed carpet into place and then knocked the tacks down with a hammer so the spikes didn't stick up. Then they stomped on the strip (no boots, just socks) to make sure my family wouldn't get stuck by any nails. I appreciate it but it still irks me that this is not aligned to the rules. read more

Working with Jesse to get our selection or carpet figured out and measuring the entire house was no small feat! We met with him a number of times long before our installation date was even scheduled. He was patient, helpful and never pushy. Really appreciated the coordination from him and Jennifer. Were the rubber meets road (or carpet meets the sub-flooring!) is with the installation. There was an unavoidable personnel issue that delayed the start of our installation by a couple hours but Jennifer was very communicative and apologetic (even though she couldn't control an employee having a seizure). The crew showed up and immediately went to work. Joseph was our installer and was very effective with his crew - he clearly was experienced and was able to direct his team around. They too were responsive and respectful. They carefully moved all our furniture around and were open to my guidance on the more delicate items or even how we wanted the rooms put back together. On the final day of installation (a Friday night), they stayed until almost 9 pm to get the job done. They cleaned up everything in the house, did a final walk through with us and did not leave anything behind. The installation did cause a small issue on the flashing on the stairs but Carpets of Arizona has been more than helpful getting that repaired at no charge. For reference, our home is 4300+ sq ft and we replaced carpet in 10 rooms/spaces, stairs, hallway and all the closets (except master). The installation took 3 days. The carpet quality is top notch and everyone at the company communicates well. We are very happy with the work and would highly recommend them to friends and family! read more

I'm currently pregnant and nesting has hit me in full force. The two major things I wanted to tackle before our first baby gets here - carpets and new windows. I ordered new windows back in December and was told it would take 12 weeks for them to arrive, so I set out to find a flooring company to work with. Carpets of Arizona was the only company I spoke with who offered to work with the window company schedule (we turned one window into a slider and the window company said to wait on flooring install in that room, just in case they had to cut into the floor. They didn't want to damage the new carpet). Carpets of Arizona was willing to install my flooring in two stages so that I didn't have to wait until windows were fully installed to enjoy my new flooring. I described what I was hoping for, style wise, to Monica over the phone. When she arrived at my house to give me a quote, she brought samples that were EXACTLY what I wanted. It is so overwhelming to look at thousands of samples. I appreciate that she was able to bring 3 I liked so I could quickly and confidently make a decision. Geraldine was patient and so helpful during the scheduling process. When there was a delay and window installation was pushed out further, she quickly rescheduled my flooring installation over the phone. Finally, the contractors they hired for my job (Juan and his team) were always on time, polite, and did beautiful work. I am so, so thrilled with my new floors. The upgrade was worth every penny. We recently hired Carpets of Arizona to install carpeting and wood plank flooring. To provide fair and balanced feedback they did a nice job with the carpet installation but would strongly caution anyone looking to hire them for wood plank flooring installation. We chose a wood plank floor style that has a high shade variation which means the planks vary from light to dark. It was very important to me that the installers took extra care when installing the floor to ensure the planks were space in a way to ensure the various plank tones were mixed across the floor as the flooring manufacturer intended for the right look. Monica, the sales rep assured me that she would put their best installers on the job. On the day of the installation, I mentioned to Jim, the installer, that I'd like to make sure the light, medium and dark tones were mixed across the floor to achieve the intended look of this flooring style. Jim's response was "Yeah, I'm not going to do that! It will take too long and I don't get paid by the hour." He assured me that if he just pulls the planks from the box and installs they will be mixed (this is not recommended by the manufacturer). Needless to say I was shocked by his response but trusted they knew what they were doing. When the floor was finished my worst fears came true. About half of the floor (the portion Jim was working on) is not varied at all. In fact, there are only 2 different plank styles (out of 10) that appear in a large area of my floor. It looks horrible. I brought this to the attention of both Monica (sales) and Geraldine (Ops) without any resolution for a two month period of time. Upon the completion of the final step of adding the transition strip (happened nearly two months after floor was installed) Monica charged my credit card with the balance due without my authorization or approval. I had to call the credit card company to dispute the charge as we had not yet resolved the installation issues. Be wary of offering your credit card as I've read other reviews and this appears to be a recurring problem. After speaking with Miranda (Manager) I did receive a refund of approximately 10% of the total job as their resolution but it does not resolve the fact that I need to look at a floor everyday that is less than desirable. PHOTOS: In the attached photos you will see a photo with numbers (1 and 2). I labeled the wood planks that are identical to each other to show that nearly half of the floor only uses 2 of the approximately 10 different plank styles. The other photo shows the other half of the floor that was installed much better by the second installer (Manuel). Manuel took more care to install the portion he was working on correctly. Manuel also had a higher customer care factor over and above the management and leadership team at Carpets of Arizona. The photos look like they are two different floors. UGH!! For me, its only about the selection and quality of carpet and value of total package (including installation). I did not like Carpets of Arizona price point. Left. We have had a difficult flooring experience with Carpets of Arizona. We used them previously at another home and had a good experience, however, this time was different. Pros and cons are as follows: 1. Pro/Con: The sales team is highly communicative, answers all questions, and are very helpful. That being said, they did get the measurements wrong twice. We also included baseboards into our overall cost. What we were not told is that the baseboards would be unfinished. We were under the impression our floors, and baseboards, would be good as new. The baseboards were also installed with bad cuts, nails sticking out, etc. I've been told they've now corrected this process as other customers also had this issue. 2. Con: Our install - and I cannot emphasize this enough - was a nightmare. It started in November 2020 and it is still not done as of this pos due to all the repairs and re-do's needed. We did, to be fair, request a break during the Christmas holiday as we didn't want to live through a torn up house any more than we already had been. We did carpet and LTV in the entire house. Our LTV floors were supposed to be dropped off at our house 48 hrs in advance to acclimate, but a holiday in China impacted shipping from the vendor, which no one at the company knew about. Instead of waiting for a firm response on when the floors would arrive and pushing our install back appropriately, they continued with the schedule. Luis and another gentleman ripped out the remaining carpet and baseboards and were visibly and verbally frustrated stating they never start jobs without the floors being ready. They piled all the furniture in two different rooms. During this process they damaged three pieces of furniture and we had multiple varying degrees of drywall damage, both large and small. At the end of the day after everything had been ripped out and our house was essentially unlivable, we were told it would be a WEEK before the floors arrived. We had no place to eat or sit. They also left a ton of broken up cement all over the house, large nails sticking out of the walls dangerously, and three razor blades lying on the floor. My husband and I spent several hours that night cleaning up the mess, pulling out the nails, and making our house as safe as possible. SOME photos of all the issues/damages attached. 3. Con: Management team and internal communications during the first half of this install. Eric, who was at the time the operating manager and has since been fired, told us varying truths, conflicting stories, and gave us false guarantees. We also later learned he never escalated any of our issues as he told us he had done. 4: Pro/Con - new installers: A week later, Manuel and Jimmy installed our floors. Jimmy was highly communicative the entire time. Manuel is a master LTV floor installer and did a beautiful herringbone pattern in our dining room. The two of them were extremely careful with moving things around and not damaging anything. The con here is where they started rushing at the end. There were quite a few places with the brand new LTV that needed repairs, including one entire room that had to be re-done; gaps were so large you could see the cement below, for example. Several places where carpet started popping up or just wasn't seemingly tacked down. Also, some baseboards were installed that were damaged and had to be replaced or repaired. I believe the issue is we were originally told the install would take 9 days, but Eric forced it into 6 days, thus the damage. Now it's taken 2.5 months to fix everything. I do want to give Manuel a lot of credit. He has been nothing but honest and fully accountable, and a huge help in coming out to fix everything. He is kind, trustworthy, and does an excellent job. Kudos to Miranda and Geraldine as well for their awesome service. 5. Pro/Con: Overall, the new management team and those now aware of the problems have fully stepped up, apologized, and taken all the necessary steps to right the wrongs. My biggest disappointment here is in the way the company has handled collection of payment. We spent ~$18k on the floors; not a small amount of money. We paid 50% down and almost all of the rest, except for a small buffer of money set aside for drywall, furniture, and painting repairs due to the damage, which is to be deducted from the final payment. At one point they sent us a lien notice for final payment in the middle of things getting fixed - it's auto generated, but that is the last thing a customer with our situation should get. They also charged our credit card for the remaining $2300 without our permission and didn't realize why this was a problem, and before all repairs were done, which is extremely unprofessional. 6. In progress: Half a dozen+ more flooring repairs and a Karndean professional is supposed to come out and assess the flooring. Also, the refund on our card until repairs are complete. I had the carpet put in it was paid in full. The workers walked all over my carpet after it was installed. Who does that? That is why people leave their shoes at the door. I spoke to Shane, the owner, and he told me that my concern was ridiculous. WOW! He offered to take $10 off my bill. I wish I would have known this before I purchased from this company. Carpets of Arizona did a wonderful job carpeting our investment property. I read reviews online and the salesperson Josh was highly recommended online in a few places. He provided a competitive bid for the carpet, installation and takeaway of old carpet. Jose the installer did a fantastic job installing the carpet and he called me personally when he arrived and before he left he provided pictures of each area he carpeted. We were concerned with the old carpet that was in bad shape that it would cause a mess throughout the house, but it appears they cleaned up any debris on the way out. Super impressed, and will definitely recommend their services to anyone in need of carpet. read more

We had our bedroom carpet replaced about 8 months ago. There are already heavy traffic patterns. When I bought the carpet, it wasn't top of the line, but the salesman assured me it would last at least 5 years. I called C of AZ. I had gentlemen come over - both agreed that a good carpet cleaning would be in order, and we would go from there. They sent the carpet cleaner over, he did a great job and C of AZ picked up the bill. That was 2/10 it's now 2/22, and I have yet to see or hear from the C of AZ guy. I called yesterday to ask when the follow up would be and was told I would hear from them the next day .... Or not. I know very little about carpet. The bid that was quoted and what was delivered are two entirely different things. The "Karndeen" slate flooring is beautiful but the baseboards were not replaced as originally quoted and their idea of fixing the problem - "caulking"? Even after showing Shane the original bid they did a half hearted job on fixing the problem and it was never really completed. We have since contracted a company to replace the baseboards, which did what was promised and did it well! Make sure everything is in writing and make this company follow through with their written quote. read more

Do yourself a favor: comparison shop. The Tuftex carpet we loved here is $16.22/sq ft installed. At the other carpet store we went to, it was only $10/sq ft installed. In our theatre room of only 430 sq, this equated to be a $2,700 difference of price. Can you imagine if we were doing the whole house in this carpet?! Do your homework, compare prices elsewhere, and you'll see what I'm saying is true and save yourself thousands. To their reply: I don't know about you, but pricing is a big factor when we're talking of thousands of dollars more, and I'm sure many people would agree. To each their own.
