Folks I was ready to give this company 5 stars. They came highly recommended. But things went south when I asked if he could wrap up the day after 8hrs as we approached 9pm. Brant, for someone who said they don't do Yelp you sure respond everywhere. You walked out without cleaning up when I asked at 8:45PM if you could wrap it up at 9:00 so my kids and I could go to bed and you could be on your way as well. I don't understand a professional who literally throws their equipment in their van and walks off without discussing plans for finishing the job or cost to continue the job. You left water pooled all over the first floor. The rest of the following issues below coupled with the way you spoke to your customer is astonishing. There's dings all along the door trim from the equipment going through the passway in the sun room and the bottom is puffed from water intrusion as are areas in the dining room. I know this because I've spent the last two days cleaning trim and baseboards. There was massive amounts of residue around the kitchen sink indicating you dumped cleaning water or solution down the sink plus the bottle of water cleaner was sitting next to it. And there was water pooled under the sink indicated by the soaked box. You were the only one here today. I detailed the kitchen before your arrival. You were condescending and argumentative on the phone. I will update my review with photos of your email with sexist remarks once we settle out damages. I never mocked your work; I complimented it. I never indicated I would not pay; I strongly said let's keep track of your hours I will compensate you for your time please don't worry. When I arrived at 7:00PM you said you would work to the stairwell and come back Monday maybe even with another guy to finish the foyer and dining room. We agreed on that. Then you acted as if that wasn't the plan during our call after you drove off. You are in a service business. Act professional. Quit letting your insecurities get the best of you. Slow down and listen. That's your worst trait. You simply do not slow down and listen to your customer then you twist what they say. read more

When the owner gets here he try to rise the price to $375 since I have too many sofas that he didnt realize at the first place. If you do not want to spend your day getting threatening and harassing messages from someone who cleans dog urine from carpet all day... find another company! If your service is bad and you simply give a review to that regard.... be ware! I get my carpet cleaned every 6-8mos as I have a baby. I hired carpet free cleaning to come clean my carpet, one room had a light stain on the floor by the stairs as it is a high traffic area. They sprayed something on it to pre treat it. The carpet looked great when they were done but a few hours later stains started surfacing. The problem is there were stains in areas that had no stains. The client service rep said they would come out and declension the areas where there were stains. The day before they were to come back, the owner called me telling me the stains based on my pictures were stains from pet urine. We have never owned a pet, the prior owner never had a pet nor do I even allow pets in my home as I have a baby and a child allergic to dogs. The owner tells me he will have to now charge me to come back out. He was rude, unprofessional and unethical. I have high end luxury carpet with extra thick padding, we have never had stains in those spots and then he tells me it's my fault and that it is pet urine... all so he won't have to fix something he was responsible for. I will NEVER use them again and NEVER refer anyone else to this company. He lacks integrity and professionalism. Rebecca, his office manager, should run the company she understands creating a great client experience but the owner has a lot to learn. We have choices as to where we spend our money.... I would recommend you not spend it with this company! Wow! Now Brantley (the owner) upset because he received a negative review is sending me threatening text messages! This is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. I hate he knows where I live and just called the police to report him. Not only do you have to be concerned about bad service but now you have to be worried about people who are not all the way there upset because you have the right to complete a review based on your experience with the company. We had Clean Free come in to do our first floor, I did not know the exact square footage, as I am not very spatial and to be honest I have issues with math. That being said, their estimate and the amount we paid were the same! We were super pleased!! We had some really bad stains in our carpet from before we moved in, we are renting this house, regardless of the fact we rent we get the carpet cleaned 2 times per year. Our guy (I apologize I cannot remember his name) was professional, friendly, not too fast that I was suspect, and not so slow that I was stranded in my room upstairs with our dogs forever. He was also super sweet to our dogs. The carpet looks AMAZING! We are very pleased with the work, we will be using them again and again for both floors. We are loyal to businesses that are true to their word, communicative, and honest. This company texted me before and after our service, which I found awesome! If I had anything constructive it would be that I did not care for the smell of the cleaning solution, but hey, I have really clean carpet so I am not complaining. Sick male cat pee soaked into carpet pads + trying to clean it up myself = disaster! (I'm pretty I made things worse) Enter the professionals from Clean Free Carpet. My only regret is not calling them sooner. They did a tremendous job the first go round, and got the male cat urine & smell out. They said to call them back in a few weeks if the smell returned. And the smell returned (not a surprise, was almost expecting it). The owner came back free of charge, and stayed for well over two hours. I have never seen anyone so thorough. Previously, he had prepared me for worst case scenario: replacing carpet pads ($$$)! But it appears that I may not have to go that route. Do it. They are in Waxhaw and if you live in Indian Land, that is close. They are very responsive to online scheduling and questions. They don't move furniture, however. So plan for that. They scheduled me right when I wanted and showed up on time. The pricing was reasonable. I had them do a chair, too. I do think the extractor could have done a better job. The carpet was very wet for 2.5 days. The gentleman suggested it would dry in just a few hours if we cranked down the air and ran fans. But that didn't really do the trick for us. AMENDMENT: This business reached out to me to apologize for the damp and offered to compensate. I declined their offer because I should have reached out to them at the time. I am a returning customer of Clean Free Carpet Cleaning and I am completely disappointed and disgusted with this company. Monday morning, I called to make an appointment to get my carpets cleaned. I spoke with Jenkins he was kind, courteous, and promptly scheduled me a same day appointment. Due to circumstance and me being at work I called back to cancel and mentioned that I would need to reschedule for another day. Shortly after cancelling my mom, who was at our home babysitting my 1 year old son stated the carpet cleaning guy was at our house. Since the rep still showed up I figured why not have him complete the work, instead of having to take more time out of my busy schedule later. A hour or so later I received a frantic, disturbing call from my mom stating some guy showed up to my house, entered my home unannounced, and was standing in my living room scooping the place out. Not only did the gentleman not ring the doorbell or knock. He did not show identification or address himself when he initially walked about 20 feet into my home, FIRST MISTAKE! When my mom addressed the guy to figure out who this stranger was standing in our living room his response was "I am the owner, that's who I am!" At this point my mom was confused to why the owner was at our home, entered the home without getting permission, never identified himself until she spoke to him first, or why he was speaking to her in a condensing tone. Brantley "the owner" began reprimanding his employee in front of my mom INSIDE OF OUR HOUSE, and stated that he was fired! When my mom tried to diffuse the situation & asked if he would not talk to the guy like that in front of her the owner Brantley became enraged and started yelling at my mom. Brantley then began to pull and yank his equipment out of my house as he shouted, "he's not finishing, this is my equipment." Meanwhile all of this is happening in front of my child (traumatizing for any little child to see), SECOND MISTAKE. Still on the phone hearing the altercation and my mom threatening to call the police I immediately leave work in fear of my mom and child's safety. Before arriving back home the owner had left the premises. After the incident I spoke with Jenkins again and requested the owner, Mr. Brantley to call me personally and I have yet heard from him. I am very applaud that this is the behavior of a business owner. I am a business owner myself and I would never enter someone's home in the manner that Brantley did and display such horrible behavior as he did by disrespecting my mom and talking to his employee like a dog in front of a customer. His behavior is completely unacceptable!!!!! No one should do business with someone who carries himself this way! Although my husband and dad spoke with the co-owner & Brantley, who stated they were sorry. Brantley seems to think his behavior was justifiable because he stated "his worker never called back to inform them that we decided to proceed with the job". Miscommunication between an employee and employer has NOTHING to do with the customer, and should never be displayed in front on a consumer. I do not tolerate disrespect, especially not by someome who I'm trying to give business too. The actions of the Brantley shows that he: 1. does not respect his employees (maybe just the black ones) 2. racially profiles his customers. Absolutely appalled that this guy is still in business. Brantley Pace came out to my home this morning and "cleaned" 3 bedrooms, stairs, and a hallway in about 20 minutes. From the moment he walked in, he tried to up sell me on his pet treatment. When I denied the treatment, he became extremely rude and condescending. He claimed that there was no way to remove any of the stains in my carpet without having to pay the extra fee. Well, that claim was proven false. I immediately contacted another company, Mercy Carpet Cleaning & Restoration, and they were able to come out right away and remove the stains with their regular carpet cleaning service and left my carpet looking amazing! And what do you know...no pet treatment was necessary! The red dye stains that he claimed were due to a pet's stomach acid? Gone! Please do not be fooled by all of the 5-star reviews. They did a great job cleaning the carpet, but left me with four stains in the middle of my living room. The technician cautioned me to not move any furniture while the carpet was wet, because that could cause a stain. Well, I listened to him and left everything as it was sitting. Three weeks later, I moved my couch and there were four permanent stains where the couch legs had been. The company tried to put the blame on me, and told me I had no proof that I didn't move the couch. They offered me a $50 dollar credit, which I did not accept, after the person on the phone said she wouldn't give me the credit if I was going to leave a bad review.
