My home has eleven AC vents and is a one floor home. I scheduled Pristine Air Duct Cleaning to have the ducts cleaned. I did not ask for an estimate and it was not offered either. They were considerate of the home, which is in disarray due to mold mitigation. I was very surprised when the bill for their services was $1,000, but I had not asked so that is on me. I had previously looked online at what other companies charged. I was told I needed a new box for the AC at the cost of $1995. Early evening I realized that cold air was coming out of only two of the vents and the house was warming up. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with this company. I called in a panic on a Friday after replacing a ceiling vent in my boys bathroom and finding all kinds of mold. I did a quick yelp search and landed on these guys and they were literally out at my house 45 minutes later. Dima did a walk through with me, showed me all the issues via photos he took in my attic, and they got to work right away. I appreciated how quickly they responded - called Friday afternoon and they were available by Monday morning. The planned work was a $69 dryer vent cleaning. After taking off the dryer vent tubing, the worker said he would need to get on the roof and it was now going to cost almost $600 . When we said that was both a surprise at how expensive it is and not something we were willing to do without understanding comparative costs, he said we needed to still pay him the $69 for his time and taking off the vent. We paid him the amount since he did come out to our home. But no work completed and a seemingly really high quote for the work we hoped to have done. read more

From the quote appointment to the cleaning day, I was very impressed by Pristine Air Duct Cleaning. The owner, Itzik, came out to do the quote. I had requested quotes from two other companies in the meantime. Not one offered to come to my home. One company offered the quote strictly through email. The other company set up an in-person appointment, then called to do the quote over the phone, cancelling my in-person appointment. Itzik is professional, knowledgable, and personable. In addition to being very pleased that he came to my home, he took extra time to explain the process, walk through my home, and show how Pristine Air Duct Cleaning is different from the other air duct cleaning companies out there. Pristine does NOT cut holes in the HVAC supply and return lines and suck out the debris using a vacuum located inside a vehicle that sits in your driveway. Rather, they go to each air vent and return and use their high quality vacuum, camera, and tools to thoroughly suck out the debris. First to respond to my request to clean our chimney to prep for new gas logs. Came out same day and did a great job! They did charge more than double the cheapest offers at $220, after not being willing to give an estimate by phone, but I did accept their estimate because I was pushed for time. So I felt I paid extra to have it cleaned then and done with time to spare. When I asked for a veterans discount, I was told I already got their lowest price, given they usually charge $280.
