I'm writing to say I had a similar experience as the review written by Natalie P. The last several times I've been the staff is quite rude and not very accommodating. Absolutely awful service... I had left work earlier to make it before they close at 6.. and I did. I walk in and was rudely told to leave.. nothing else. Consistently terrible customer service. My wife and I have been frequenting 1-3x a week but we're cutting it off As of my visit just now. There's been only one worker who's always nice and personable (the pretty one who's kind of new, ironically). The staff are overtly rude, but do so passively if that makes sense. They are clearly annoyed to have a customer, and clearly get a kick out of letting the customer know that, and they will only do the bare minimum to engage Much less be friendly. The service is a 'entitled Gen Z rich kid who has a job, but no work ethic or interpersonal skills" vibe. The "Prayer Jar" is a nice ironic touch...... save your money and stay away. I went early morning and ordered The Energy One, and their almond Butter Toast. The store was bright and clean. The workers were friendly. The menu is well versed with a variety of smoothies, açaí bowls, juices, and other items. There prices reflect wholesome food, so they are not cheap. I paid $14 for a clean juice and toast. However be prepared to pay $8.75 for a small glass that is 1/4 filled with ice so you're not getting the full amount of juice. If you're looking for a high quality cold pressed juice bursting with nutrients, you might want to DIY or go somewhere else. If you want a cold refreshing high glycemic index watered down treat, this is your place. Ways to make this place even better: 1) Make The guest Wi-Fi user friendly. The ONE and ONLY other customer waiting for his drink had issues too. It would have been nice to sit inside instead of my car and enjoy my juice while I waited for my dog to be done at the groomers next door. 2) There is a sign at the cashier that says one dollar extra for anything that contains avocado because of the "avocado shortage" Maybe incorporate it into the price to account for future shortages. 3) Please post your prices so they are visible to your customers. 5) It would been extra nice if the employees were a a little warmer and more energetic. I love the açaí bowls here; however, they're too expensive to be inconsistent. Just placed a to go order for a beach bowl. The coconut was substituted for bananas without a heads up or anything. I purchased the bowl for my coworker who specifically wanted this one and doesn't eat bananas! In other instances, I've noticed less product in my bowls. I'd get to work and the bowl is only about half filled. Other times I barely have any granola. I can't continue to rant and rave about a place where you never know what you're going to get. It needs to be the same everytime. No surprise substitutions. No half filled bowls. read more

Wasn't sure if they had this on their website but I figured why not at least try because most places do since it is the by far superior smoothie choice. Got the avocado toast which tasted like it had been drenched in salt water. It was so salty I couldn't even eat it. I love this spot. My daughter has severe nut allergies so we have to be super careful in places that use nut products. They have a designated allergen-free blender and they were so patient in answering all of my questions about how they handle allergens. It's always super clean, the employees are always friendly and helpful. They also get big points for having secured WiFi for those of us who can't work on a public connection. Taking the review down from 4 stars to 2 stars due to my last several experiences at Clean Juice Southern Pines. The customer service has really gone down hill. The girl today was exceptionally rude and did not listen at all, messing up our order badly. Additionally, they were out of fresh fruit... and 16 ounce cups. So when we ordered a 16ounce drink, they just eyeballed it. I'm pretty sure we got about 10 ounces. I wish the owners would hire some nice and competent people. We visited Clean Juice after looking for a smoothie/smoothie bowl restaurant (we aren't from here). We weren't pleased for a couple of reasons: 1) the cashier was incredibly rude and seemed to have an attitude immediately. It was our first time in, so we had a couple of questions about the sizes and how the smoothie bowls were served, but she seemed annoyed that we were asking questions even though she said to let her know if we had any questions. ‍ 2) She let us know that they were out of fresh strawberries and bananas but had frozen. So I asked if I could have the frozen fruit on top of my smoothie bowl in place of the fresh fruit, to which she said no, it could only be blended in as a smoothie. Then I asked if they had peanut butter, and she acted like I had asked her to put her first born child in my smoothie. 3) I ended up ordering the same smoothie that my husband ordered (The Chocolate One), and mine tasted TOTALLY different from my husband's. It tasted like chocolate flavored dirt water. 4) it was way more expensive than it should be for 2 smoothies ($20), and that was after a discount. Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and despite the possibility that we might move to the area, we won't be returning to this location. read more

I have been a few times to this juice bar. I have tried several different smoothies, juices and açaí bowls. I had high hopes since this is really the only juice bar in town. The last two times I have come I've had a bad experience. The smoothie I ordered had little to no flavor. The customer service is usually fine, but this last time my family and I waited at the register for awhile without even being acknowledged. I just had the oddest Clean Juice experience. I walked in to an empty store and an employee around my age peeked out quickly and smiled at me. Without even greeting me, she goes "Are you, like... an adult? Or a child?" I am a short 18 year old girl so I don't look "grown up" but who asks that??? I look at her VERY confused and respond with "um... I am an adult." She laughs and says "oh you look like a little kid. Well I have to get [my coworker] to ring you up because I already clocked out." I'm not sure what the policy is but with every job I've had before, you have to leave after you clock out. So, I was greeted SO weirdly and then the girl I'm talking to isn't even supposed to be there? The other employee comes out, takes my order and luckily is extremely polite but I was so uncomfortable waiting for her to make my drink. The drink came out fine though so that's alright. I'm not sure if the first girl was completely sober, or maybe she was just trying to be funny but it made me really uncomfortable and honestly kind of confused. read more
