This used to be my go to place when I had to come to Fayetteville for work. My old office building was across the street so I always made a stop here and got the Thai tea with boba and the pot stickers with the spicy seasoning. I loved them!! They do have discount days for first responders and military. They are quick with making the orders so you don't have to wait very long. My brother always said to compare places black milk tea to get a good sense of if their boba and tea are good. Their black milks tea was good. Comparable to the other bubble tea shops. They have so many options to choose from! We had their popcorn chicken also. It was good but lol tea and coffees popcorn chicken is better. Okay, great customer service is a must if your job is to cater customers. I didn't feel I was welcomed in this placed. I went in, there was 1 family in line placing and waiting for their order. I was never greeted, it's rude. I was just standing close within eye sight waiting to be recognized and asked what I would want. Until, I said something and then placed my order. I ordered taro smoothie, the service was quick. The price was comparable to smoothie places I've been. The taro smoothie however was a disappointment, at least compared to my taro go-to place back home. My go-to place has many defaults for their taro smoothie, there's regular (very sweet) , and from 90 to 80 to 70 and so on percent based on how sweet you want your taro smoothie. My order was not as sweet as I expected. It tasted like crushed ice with just a lil bit of taro flavor. I wonder if I ask extra taro next time, they would do it for the same price. read more

I am absolutely appalled at this place. I have been coming here for 3 years and have watched it steadily decline. They are always out of something. Today there wasn't a line to order, but they needed to get caught up on customers, so I didn't mind waiting. I watched them make 5 smoothies. When she FINALLY took our order she informed me they weren't doing slushes or smoothies. The two things we were going to order. She said they were refusing to make them because they were "too busy" even if I just watched them make some for other customers. We will NOT be returning to this establishment. Every time I come here the kitchen is closed. Literally every time. It's 4pm on a Tuesday afternoon and the cashier had to go back and ask the cook if she could make something and she said no. So the kitchen is closed. This is why you're losing business to LOL Coffee and Bubble Tea. Terrible service. No one greets you or acknowledges you when you're standing at the register. They act like you're invisible. Then when you ask for help, staff kept saying they would be a second. We stood in line for 20 minutes before we decided to just leave. They didn't care. The place has bad ventilation. We smelled like fried food. Ok so I have A LOT to say about this place and normally people dont like reading novels but i just wanna warn everyone. First off, i'm an old employee from here and so is my girlfriend so we both have first hand experiences with everything. The manager doesn't live in NC she lives somewhere in CA so that's already a red flag at first, if you have a problem then you can't do much about it because someone isn't physically there to help. She advertises that she pays $9-11 dollars per hour but when you start there you are getting paid under the table $6.50/hour and you can work up but throughout my 7 almost 8 months working there and working consistently, i only got up to 8 dollars an hour. So when you go there that's probably why theres bad customer service because genuinely no one wants to be there it's horrible management and very poor cleanliness. I was told that at the bar there would be a face shield and gloves available to me but that never happened. The oil to the frying machine in the back that cooks all the food gets disgusting and i think it's only changed once or twice a week. Also one BIG thing is that one time i was working there and restocking the lychee boba (which is supposed to be clear), i noticed it was literally BROWN and slimy and sour. I put the pictures that i took at the time on the review. I did contact my boss about it and told her, she told me that she will look into it. I come to work about 2 days later and i get delivered the SAME EXACT BROWN BOBA CONTAINER OF LYCHEE. At that point i was pissed because it literally was expired and could get people sick so when i was on the shift i literally always said we were out of it to save people from getting like i said SICK. There's a lot more gross things gone unchecked and ridiculous things that the boss does and says that eventually made me quit on the spot one day because it was disgusting and unorganized. Don't even get me started on the mall location, i could write a whole other review on how gross and unsanitary the mall location is. In other words just dont go here, it's overpriced compared to other boba places in the area and gross not worth your money. read more

The tea with boba is pretty good but seemed sweeter than it should be. The ladies at the register were friendly. Prices are decent. Came back today to confirm whether my initial excitement was justified. Gotta say that I'm still a happy clam! Ordered a green tea bubble snow and squid balls for a snack. The green tea bubble snow was very flavorful and not overly sweet. Squid balls were delicious and there are 3 levels of spiciness. I ordered the medium and it was just right. Downside The squid balls are cut in half and not full ones. What can I say? I like my balls whole. :P I felt like I got a bit cheated out of my full snack. But it was still delicious, so I wasn't too miffed. Observation There are 2 sizes for drinks and snacks, but no price distinctions on the menu that's on the wall. So caveat emptor (ie: buyer beware). For the squid balls, the small size gives you 9 half squid balls. The large gives you about 13 or 14 (or so the clerk told me). I would appreciate and recommend that the price differences should be noted on the menu. I don't mind paying extra, especially when the quality is worth it. But I would like to know where my money is going. I don't like hidden/surprise costs. Final Answer The lack of explanation of the price and size differences on the menu hold me back from giving this place 5 stars. But as I stated previously- I'm still a happy clam! read more

This place is da winnahz. As a hawaii boy this is as close to home as it gets. This place is cheaper than if you were to get it at a Pho restaurant. Small was 3.99 and upgrade to large was only 0.55 more! There is also the option for jelly or popping boba with additional charge. I shared a large snow honeydew/yogurt popping boba with my daughter and the wife had a iced vanilla latte with boba. Boy did it remind me of the boba back in the islands. Originally from California and longed for bubble tea. Then I found this place of happiness. They have a variety of drinks, hot and cold. They have regular boba and flavored popping boba! I typically get the lychee flavored green tea with popping lychee boba but if this is your first time trying it, I suggest thai tea (with or without boba.) Bubble tea was an amazing place that makes great boba tea. I always get mango or passion fruit frozen smoothies, which are my favorite !! There's one big problem though. The place literally stinks. It smells like they don't have hood that sucks out the grease smell out of the business. It doesn't matter how short your time spent in bubble tea express, your clothes and skin will stink as if you've worked a twelve hour shift working the fryers at Applebee's (Last time I visited I took off my jacket in the car so I can at least have one piece of clothing that didn't stink for the rest of the day.) I never had this problem bother me before, but after time away, I came to visit bubble tea express, and sadly, the boba themselves tasted of the smoky fried fatty smell that is thickly flying in the air. This cannot be good for the employees working their long shifts or any of their customers. It is difficult to imagine but this problem hurts the reputation of their once great product.
