After the initial cleaning, there were still visible spots remaining and a strong urine-like odor that had not been resolved. We contacted the company, and to their credit, they agreed to a follow-up visit. The purpose of rescheduling was so I could meet the technician on site, point out the remaining problem areas, and review the results together. That never happened. There was confusion regarding the technician's arrival time, and by the time I arrived at the property, no one was there. As a result, I never had the opportunity to walk through the concerns with the technician. I followed up with the office asking what areas had been treated and requested the technician's notes so I could understand what work had been performed. Rather than addressing those questions, I was simply told the follow-up was a "courtesy" and that there was nothing more they could do. I understand that not every stain can be removed, especially on an older carpet. My disappointment is with the lack of communication and the way my concerns were handled after the service. I expected a discussion about what was and wasn't possible--not to have my questions dismissed. Based on this experience, I would not use their services again.

I was pleased to know that there was financing available if needed and the rep agreed to come to my home to see the work I needed. She came and measured; then called and came back because she wanted to double-check the color she had chosen. That was a good thing, because in a different light, she was able to get a more accurate view of the color (we were matching what would be on the stairs to what I already have on my gound floor.) She ordered the wood and it took about a month to get in but once in, AFS called and set up the work date. I paid half of my total cost to get the wood ordered, and completed the purchase once the appointment for installation was made. I was given the date for the install and was told that the crew would be at my house between 8 and 11. They arrived right at 8. The "crew" was two men, neither of whom spoke English, but when I tell you they were professionals in the highest sense of the word, I don't do them justice. They came in, got the lay of the land, took the carpet up, and got to work, preparing the stairs and the hallway, sanding where there needed to be sanding, and letting me know the whole time what they were doing and why. They laid that hardwood with love and pride. The job took all day (they thought it would take 1/2 day) and when they were done, they totally cleaned up the work area. They took the old carpet away, swept up all dust inside the house and in the garage, where they worked, and then, as they left, reminded me to close the garage door. All of this might sound like a bit much, but I've had work done in my house in several areas, and good service as well as good workmanship has been hard to find. These guys were perfect!!!!! And the stairs/floor are gorgeous! I recommend America's Floor Source. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

He was able to do it in a way that gave us many options because we could have opted for different flooring for the halls than for the bedrooms, for example. Once he did the mapping, he told us to check out their showroom so we could choose our flooring. We went out to the showroom located in Clintonville area. When we arrived, we met a friendly lady in the showroom who explained all of our options to us. She pulled our file so that when we selected our floor, she was able to give us an estimate. She was very frank with us and I really appreciated it. She was very honest about ways that we could save money and did not push us into more expensive options. She worked with us to get us the best flooring at the best price. We made our selection and they called us about a week later to set up installation. Two gentlemen then came to our place and worked hard at putting in our new carpet. They were very efficient and moved our furniture for us for a small fee so that we didn't have to worry about it.
