I was told it was cheaper than a new gas fireplace. I agreed. A couple of weeks later he came out for an install and did a crappy job. When I complained he said he'd have to get more materials and come back. Then he told me it would be an additional $510! Said he never saw a fireplace with my measurements. This was a self proclaimed expert who had been working many years doing this work. In a second visit he spent 5 hours installing correcting his previous errors. I have two questions that should prevent you from ever using this company. 1. When I approved the purchase, he took my fireplace measurements. Yet I was charged an extra $500 because he came unprepared to do my job on his first visit. 2. A heating guy who is a friend said I got taken. He said the fireplace repair was usually a $300-$400. He said to replace a gas fireplace was about $1,500 at most. So in his estimation yes, I was taken. I will be contacting the BBB.

I followed all their instructions, and within a month the panels started cracking and eventually became unsafe to use. Their technician confirmed they were unsafe and the owner blamed me for the cracking and refused to take any responsibility. Communication was awful. Months of ignored calls and emails. The only solution they provided me with was to buy new panels and pay for the whole job at full pricing again for their failed work. I tried finding a common ground of potentially sharing the costs just to get this resolved and they wouldn't budge at all. They don't stand behind their service. I would not use them again. Beware of what you're getting into should you have any issues after install.

They called at 3:17 and arrived at 3:26 during our schedule window of 3 to 6. They left sometime between 4:00 and 4:30. They laid down blankets to keep their work around the fireplace clean. They did a great job cleaning the chimney. Good pricing. Note cash/check is preferable over credit card as there is a fee for credit cards. Be sure to confirm expected pricing over phone while scheduling to prepare your payment method. We also were having an issue with smoke coming back into the house and they investigated the problem for us and found something was installed incorrectly in the chimney on the roof which they corrected and let us know. They also took a moment to give us tips on how to use the fireplace and dampener better. Great customer service! I talked mostly with Tom, but they both did a great job! Note about scheduling: Be sure to call as soon as possible (preferably before fall/autumn hits) if you are planning to use them. They do get booked up especially once the cold hits and you will have to wait a couple weeks which is understandable. I called October 20th and was scheduled for November 13th.
