This place is an absolute joke. Cleaners are liars and untrained, unprofessional or both. Nothing was cleaned properly the first or second time they came to "re-clean" as it was mandatory in order to receive a refund they claimed, but after the equally disappointing re-clean, there was no follow up and I was automatically charged over $300 bucks for a waste of time and no professional services. I tried to loyally use this business since last fall and have been grossly disappointed. They take no responsibility for their cleaners mistakes or lack of cleaning/doing their job, are pricey, and offer no solutions or reimbursement for items I have found missing and/or broken. Attached is a picture of all of the things I pulled out that were stuffed into the nook with the curtains in the back of the picture- there was no rhyme or reason, nothing was folded, the shoes weren't even paired together, and they treated my expensive belongings like trash. I also PAID for organizing and clearly it was not done. These pictures were taken immediately after a cleaning. I am also missing an item that they refuse to acknowledge or pay for- not sure if it was stolen or misplaced but they refuse to answer my inquires about it or offer any solutions. Had a mixed experience. The cleaners were very nice and did a very good job for the spots that were clean. Unfortunately, there was a few issues holding them back from more stars. In the end I was made whole, but what it took to get there and some of the issues along the way prevented more stars. First, it was not made clear to me at any point that parking cost was a responsibility of me. Received a text from the cleaners the morning of that they could find parking and asked if I would pay. Second, there were a few spots that didn't get cleaned at all. Any area, which was 97% of the apartment, that got cleaned was done very well. Weird spots like the coasters on the table that was cleaned were left dirty and there were some clunks of collected filth leftover. Included pictures. Lastly, and probably the most notable was a collectable item of mine was broken. I didn't discover this until after they left and was not made aware of it when it happened. There was several back-and-forth emails ranging from being told the item was already broken to it was broke when I asked a specific area to be cleaned on the other side of the room. In the end I got reimbursed for the item which wasn't very expensive, but just that it happened and everything to follow damaged the reputation in my view. I wanted to leave a strong review and maybe this was a one off experience but for how much it cost I expected more and may look for someone else next time. read more

The cleaning itself was fine but the business is wildly mismanaged. The cleaners were arriving hours late because of "weather" (rain storm) but the dispatcher kept giving me misinformation. She said they were coming at 3 when they were scheduled for 9am but they came at 1:30 instead, at a very inconvenient time. I asked for a discount and she said it was going to be taken out of the cleaners' pay, which is unfair! I declined the discount in solidarity and the best they had to offer me was $15 off my next cleaning. As if I would ever book them again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Unfortunately I am really really disappointed in this company and the services we received. Two very nice ladies came to our apartment, which is a 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom place. Because of the cost we only could afford to get the downstairs and two bedrooms and the bathrooms cleaned. We were charged over $230, which for college kids is a lot but we had no problem paying it if the job was done well, and we also tipped 20% on top of that. First issue is after we agreed on a set rate, we were asked for more money and to change it to hourly (as they were there for 2.5 hours, two people), so an additional $50. Secondly, the job done surface level looked great, until further inspection. I had to rewipe down every surface in the house, including the bathrooms, the shower doors, the floors, kitchen counters, mirrors... everything. Which for someone with two jobs is not something I had time for. There was a pile of dirt left in the middle of the kitchen, the carpet is still covered in dirt. As you'll see in the pictures, even though I had asked if the stairs had been vacuumed they clearly hadn't. I had to spray bleach on the sink upstairs to actually clean it, and vacuum the kitchen and living room again. I explained to someone on the phone my issues, and they offered to have them come back but unfortunately there were way too many things not right, and I had already taken an hour to clean up the majority. Cleanzen charged me over $500 for a Deep Clean and many additional options that I elected, including cabinets, walls, and windows. Reinaldo and Marci's team was sent to us. We live in a moderately sized house, such that Cleanzen estimate a ~4hr cleaning. In reality, the cleaners left after about 2hrs. They did NOT clean the window surfaces, and they did NOT even clean the cabinets. I requested a resolution with Cleanzen customer support, and their team could not be satisfactorily reasoned with. They did not even refund me the options (e.g., cabinets) that the cleaners never even touched. This company is incompetent and utterly exploitative. read more

This is by far the worst cleaning service I have used. They do not keep appointments. I made two they canceled on me 30' minutes before the appointment. They rescheduled it several times I said yes to all. I prepaid for two different appointments. They couldn't make either one. They asked I wake up early on the weekend to let them in. I did they never showed. I took a day off from Work and they also never showed. They are not reliable and the one time they did clean it was not good. Do not use this service. There are better cleaners in Boston. Vermon was also very rude to me when I tried to resolve the issue. Please do not use these cleaners. read more

I had such high hopes for Cleanzen, but was ultimately very disappointed. After inquiring about a quote for a move-in clean, I received an almost immediate response and booking was quite easy. The cost is higher than some other cleaners, but I assumed that I would get what I paid for. I did not. At the end of January, I was moving into a new apartment, so the place was completely empty and needed a good scrub down. I am glad that I stayed there during the cleaning. The cleaner did not touch the windows, windowsills, radiators, or doors. When she finished I pointed out the areas that were not cleaned to my satisfaction, including the aforementioned spots, and she huffed and puffed about it. I tipped her anyhow, of course. Afterward, I received a call from the company where they let me know that I would be charged for additional services such as wiping down the fridge and cabinets. I let them know that I specifically stated a move in clean and was sent a quote for booking, so they took my word for it. They asked me for feedback on the service and how I would rate the clean. I let them know both my positive and constructive feedback and reiterated that I was not pleased with the outcome. They let me know that they would send a new cleaner out - one who is highly rated - but it has been almost two months and I have not heard anything. I think it's a great practice for them to follow up after a cleaning, and I appreciated it, but I do wish that some action would have been taken. I will take my business elsewhere moving forward. TLDR: (+) Easy booking, great website, initially great customer service (-) higher cost, poor job cleaning, lack of follow up on issues Update as of 4/1: Minus one more star. Despite failing to follow up originally, this review caught their attention and they sent another cleaner to re-do the deep clean. See photos....it was awful. I booked Cleanzen for a move-in/out cleaning service which cost $250, which is fairly standard. The apartment was vacant and they were given the keys by my agent -- I never knew when they came and went, but apparently it was super fast since they gave back the keys within 1.5hrs. Upon inspection a few days later, I had to re-clean most of the place. The kitchen cabinets were filthy. Upon contacting cleanzen, they told me that there was a dead roach in the cabinet and their policy is to not clean anything that has pests. One dead roach in one cabinet caused them to not touch any of the kitchen cabinets. The least they could have done is inform me that the cabinets were not cleaned -- but not a word. They just silently decided not to clean the rest of the kitchen. All they provided was an apology and offered to re-do the cleaning at a 10% discount i.e. I order another round of cleaning from them out of pocket. No thank you. I ended up using task rabbit and had a great experience there. read more

Do not book - they will change the fee and contract terms on the appointment to make more money without your consent. Booked a Cleanzen appointment and was confirmed through the Cleanzen portal for fixed fee $369 for a Deep Cleaning(1), Inside Cabinets(1), Interior Windows(1), Inside Fridge(1), Inside Oven(1), Green Cleaning(1), Wipe Walls(1). I noted in the comments there was recent construction in one of the rooms which left dust, I provided pictures and was transparent with the company over several texts and emails on the state of the room which was relatively clean despite construction. Cleanzen contacted me before the appointment to change the contract terms to hourly at $60. I agreed to this change as I wanted to be fair to the cleaners if the cleaning took longer than expected however was skeptical that it would. During the appointment Cleanzen switched the cleaning back to fixed fee at $369 without my consent. This was due to being able to make more money as a fixed fee cleaning vs. an hourly cleaning. The cleaners were trending toward finishing the appointment earlier than ~6 hours it would have taken them to make the same amount as the fixed fee. A few other complaints about the cleaning service itself: 1) They arrived 1 hour 45 mins late 2) Not as thorough as I would have liked given the communication on the dust in the construction room, there were surfaces and items that were untouched and remained dusty 3) They do not do a good job of refreshing the water in the mop bucket. They spread and left a lot of dirt around the apartment. Granted they cleaned in areas i.e. under the couch that have been untouched since moving in, however, I had to vacuum 4 additional times to clean up the dirt that was spread around - I would have liked for them to be able to leave clean floors. 4) For those who work from home, the cleaners talk very loudly and across rooms during the cleaning process. Their initial tardiness and having to take meetings during the cleaning was disruptive. Cleanzen ended up issuing me a refund for the delta between hourly vs. fixed fee amount however this was after several follow-ups and complaints that they had changed the terms. Please be cautious if you are going to book Cleanzen and make sure to track the service agreement of hourly vs. fixed fee. read more

Very inconsistent, do not schedule before any big events. I was very flexible whenever they would reach out a day before to change up the times to suit the cleaner. But they just didn't show up the one day that I actually needed them to clean up on schedule, even after going out of my way to accommodate their schedule to find a time. And without notice! I waited the hour as requested to account for travel, and they have always been late, only to find out they weren't coming when I reached out. And they couldn't replace them so I was out of luck, and had to postpone a party that people were flying in to attend. No apologies or attempts at fixing the situation. Horrible service! I'm echoing other reviews that this company turns sketchy after your first time using them. The first time I booked them they cleaned my father's whole house (3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms) for $120 and did a fine job, everything went smoothly. I booked them a second time for an identical cleaning, they charged $120 but only cleaned the first floor of the house. My dad called me wondering why they abruptly left without going to the second floor. I then proceeded to spend hours of my time arguing with the coordinators, who tried to tell me my dad instructed the cleaners not to go upstairs. That lie was quickly debunked. They then told me they could re-schedule a cleaning of the upstairs, charging me the full $120 AGAIN. I told them this was irrational; I had previously had the entire home cleaned for $120 just some months ago. When I explained the absurdity of this they said that different cleaners need different amounts of time to complete a whole home, and so perhaps this team needed more hours and therefore would cost double the first time I booked. It's not unreasonable that different cleaners may need different amounts of time to complete a job, but one team needing DOUBLE the cost of another doesn't really make sense, and none of this was communicated to me at the time of booking. After all this they offered a 10% discount to complete the upstairs, so $108 on top of the $120 for the first floor. I want to stress that I believe the cleaners themselves are wonderful and honest, it's the management of this company that has severe communication (and possible dishonesty) issues. I do not trust them to use them in the future. If you use this company I advise you be extremely clear directly with the cleaners about what you booked/expect from the appointment, don't assume that the management has communicated properly with them. read more

Our first cleaning was truly exceptional and thorough. The cleaners could not have been nicer. From there is was all down hill. Cleaners would arrive as scheduled, but could not be bothered actually cleaning. For the $130 prize for a couple of cleaners to less than an hour of cleaning was just plain unacceptable especially when they missed very obvious and basic items: didn't clean the bathroom mirrors, didn't clean the sinks, didn't clean the microwave, missed the dining room table, didn't vacuum under the table, etc. Honestly I don't believe it was the cleaners fault. It's the agency that runs the place. They rush these hard working individuals to get as much as they can out of them and pressure them to move to the next cleaning. Terrible service! read more

We arranged for a deep cleaning, adding several additional services that we paid extra for; the total was almost $400. Timing was key, as we were moving into a new apartment and needed to have the unit cleaned before the furniture and boxes arrived. Long story short - they showed up late, after the furniture and boxes were already in the apartment. They spent less than 30 minutes cleaning and disappeared. They completed none of the additional services. They denied my request for a partial refund. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they outright lied to them about what happened. I have been using CleanZen for a year now and I have almost always been extremely satisfied with their work. To give some context, they clean my entire home (multiple bedrooms, multiple baths, with a large kitchen and living area). Antonia's team has done all but one of my cleanings. Simply put, they are amazing. They always exceed my expectations and go above and beyond! They are also fast, efficient and dedicated to doing a good job. I also feel like I can trust them completely. Whenever I was not satisfied with a particular area, all I had to do was talk to them and they would rectify it right away. Marcia and her team did AMAZING!!!!!! i have had a hard time finding a reliable cleaning team for my house in South Boston. I requested a deep clean and baseboards - and i COULDNT be happier. My boyfriends bathroom (use your imagination) really required the most attention - and she made it look like new! Danielle and her team were great! She was an hour early but it actually worked out perfectly for us. We requested for a move in cleaning and they cleaned it all: inside of the fridge, inside of the oven, bathrooms, spider webs, base boards etc. When we did our final walk through, the previous owner left the place absolutely disgusting (a pile of powder in the kitchen cabinets, frozen veggies all over the bottom of the freezer, little hairs all over one of the bathroom cabinets... seriously nasty stuff). It took Danielle and her partner exactly 2 hours to clean our 2 bed/2 bath and it was completely brand new when we came back!! I wish I took a before picture because it was like day and night. There were a few spots inside the fridge and kitchen cabinets that could have been cleaned a bit better but overall really satisfied with this cleaning.
