I clearly described access to my tank and they were able to quote the same over the telephone & in-person price. I found the 2 techs friendly & they provided good info on system maintenance. They neatly put back the little bit of grass around the tank lid they had to remove to access the lid. Also...I would ignore that other guy with the negative review about price change. If your tank lid is buried, & significant effort has to go into just accessing the lid before any pump out work can be done & you don't tell Bulldog that, then charging more for the time & to dig it out is reasonable. I will use Bulldog for my future septic pump out needs.

I had my septic tank pumped. They did a good job, but they severely under-quoted me how much it…read morewould cost. I was quoted $425 plus a "possible $100 digging charge if they have to dig more than 12 inches down". So my family and I went out there and dug out one whole opening, about 11" down. Turns out they need 2 openings, plus they changed their digging charge policy. According to the receptionist, the policy just changed to "If they have to dig at all, it's $100". So just be aware. $100 to dig a few scoops of dirt SEEMS high to me, but what do I know. My average sized home has a 1,250 gal. tank, and apparently such a tank can hold 1500 gallons, because they charged me $150 more for 500 extra gallons pumped. So all in all, I paid $675 when I expected to pay $425. A bit of a sticker shock. Would I recommend them? Maybe, but just know that they under-quote you. I paid over 50% more than I expected. You WILL have to add the $100 digging fee, and unless you're living in a 1 bedroom trailer, your tank will be more than the $425 standard fee for "up to 1,000 gallons". I'm not going to be ridiculous and give them 1 star or some nonsense. They get 3 stars. They did a good job on the pumping. But I honestly think the owner(s) have a lot to learn about business, customer service, and human psychology. Who likes to pay more than they expected? If you need more than $425 for a pumping, just raise your price. But don't play games. $100 for a bit of digging is ridiculous. Don't hold out hope a person can escape that massive charge, if you want that $100 every time you come out. Just be up-front about how much you want for your service.

They had to come back and fix the install because they broke a pipe backfilling dirt around the tank. Ended up putting dirt in myself to cover the tank back up.

I had them install two system for two residences. One operates OK, with some failures. The other…read moreis a disaster. Spray pump failed after one year. Aerator needed total replacement after 2 years. The compressor was mounted atop a makeshift support of two PVC pipes. And the entire system was placed so that it was about 6-8 in below the surrounding grade so rainwater pours in each time it rains. Then I had an issue with clogging and had to have a contractor dig up the line. The main connection line to the first tank of the septic system had an elbow in it that placed it approx 1ft BELOW the tank fill hole. So a bunch of sewage always collected in the pipe before creating enough pressure to flow uphill to the tank. A wonder it ever worked. Plus one PVC fitting near the tank had never been glued, and the cleanout fitting also had never been glued, only pressed together. I wondered why the grass around this end of the system was always so green. I would NEVER use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

Ryan and Gabe showed up the next day and promptly went to work. They showed me how to perform yearly maintenance, and patiently answered all of my questions. I felt bad that they ended up working later than expected, but they were so nice about it. Another cool thing is that Gabe offers first responder and healthcare discounts. I would recommend this company to my friends and family!

They said they'd be out today. Ryan came and around 7:30. He was very friendly right off the bat. He came in assessed the situation, chuckled and said 'this may have just gotten a lot easier. Let's test my theory.' He did a few things and turned my water back on. No leak. He could have milked the situation. Could have done repairs that wouldn't have been necessary. He was honest and then said there was no way he was charging me what I was quoted. We came to fair price. He had integrity, he was honest, he was professional and seems to be a great person. I will definitely use them again if needed.
