Typically it features three 9- hole courses, Deer Run, Panther Claw, and Armadillo, however one of the three has been under renovation for at least the last two years.

The fairways are all mowed to the ground, even the rough. Balls would not stay in the fairway even playing the higher elevation side. Weeds next to fairways. Grass was mowed but clippings were so deep it looked like they were ready to make hay. Carts are old and slow. Lots of weeds all around the ponds. Tee boxes had bare spots more than grass. Layout is very strange. Blind shots over trees and weeds at tee boxes on two holes. Big trees dead center on three fairways. Please explain this. Bottom line the course is managed on a government contract and they are milking the contract. Our service people deserve better. When I visit again I will go to Stonetree instead. The government employee in the military overseeing this contract needs to visit this place and see the contract abuse. I have seen 2 other base courses and both were well managed and were excellent. Two all of their sand pits have no sand, bit have concrete with a liner. I am not sure if they are planning on to fill them in later with sand or not. On the first hole is where my challenging experience began. The direction I thought I was hitting was definitely not the direction I expected my ball to go. So be sure to aim more left than you think need to. If not, you will aim towards the street or airfield next door. The next challenge is to understand which direction to go if it is your first time playing here. This course is definitely in need of repair for it's age. However, from my experience overall it was still a fun course to play on even with it's challenges. The staff are very friendly here. ​What stood out the most was the respect my golf buddies and I were shown. In many golf environments, customers are often judged the moment they walk through the door, but this golf course provided an inclusive and welcoming experience from start to finish. It's refreshing to support a business establishment where everyone greeted with genuine professionalism regardless of appearances.

The park is great, but like everything else…read morein Copperas Cove you can't walk or bike to it without risk of death walking along (no sidewalks) or *gasp!* crossing highway 190. Copperas Cove needs to improve things for walkers and bikers. There is a nice little walking park south of Martin Walker Elementary that could easily be turned into a longer walking path all the way to Ogletree Gap (under 190?) and then the other way to Heritage park. Talking of walking paths (pedestrian over passes?) crossing 190, that would be a great way to reduce traffic on 190. Make it easier for pedestrians to cross the highway. Everything is already on that road now if you could walk to the convenience store, a restaurant, the super market, the movies, or a park!
