Buy from this Marina at your own RISK.. Steve sold me a (junk) "Ready To Go" boat lift that could…read morehave killed someone!!! I called Steve's Marina about a boat lift they had for sale. I talked to Steve, (the owner) He said he had 2 lifts for sale, one was a "fixer uppper" ($500) and the other one was "ready to go" ($800).. So I told him I wanted the one ready to go and paid him $100 for delivery. After he delivered it to my dock and I paid another company to have it setup in the lake at our dock slip, we realize that this boat lift was far from "ready to go" in fact, after having a REAL Marina professorial come out and look over the lift we learn that: 1) The current state of the lift is dangerous! and to put a boat on and try to lift it might get someone hurt or KILLED. 2) the in the current state that the boat lift is NOT functional and the cables had been rigged up and needed to be re-cabled 3) ALL THE PULLEYS were junk and had to be replaced. So After another $950.00 in repair work, we have a used lift that is "ready to go" and SAFE to lift a boat. Steve is obviously a conman, don't let his building / office fool you, it gives him a legitimate look. But he using that image to it makes it easy for him to convince people to believe his lies.

Luckily I noticed this in time. After contacting their service manager and providing them with receipts and pictures; nothing. Completely ghosted me and after multiple attempts they will not respond. But everything else is just trash. I purchased a brand new boat last summer. I took it got to be winterized and to warranty fix my boat cover that started to tear. I picked it up and the fall afterwards and didn't look too closely. They fixed the button but not the tear. They also left greasy dirty hand prints and dirty foot prints all over my boat that were such a pain to clean up. I didn't notice the tear was till there until I pulled it out of storage. My fault for not looking at it when I picked it up in the fall. I had it brought back to fix the tear. They fixed it but they left my boat outside in the rain. To fix the cover. A bird took a crap on the back seat. They then didn't put one pole in and put another pole so tight they couldn't snap all the buttons and now another button is tearing because of it. I went to clean the bird poop off and it left behind a yellow stain that I have no idea how to get off now. Also when I picked up the bait my 7 by 5 pin adapter is no longer connected to the boat which I always leave connected. They also winterized my waverunner and when they disconnected the negative terminal from the battery they did not put the screw back in so I had to go find a new screw. They do not care about your property. I would not recommend you use them to take care of yours.

Ok so here's my issue. I have rented here a total of three times over maybe the last 7/8 years. The…read moreprice was ALWAYS $120, plus a $100 refundable deposit and a full tank of gas was included for the day. Always. NEVER changed. The boats are FAIRLY well maintained so $120 is doable and fair, for sure. That being said, I called today (6/14/20) to rent a pontoon for 3-people (one elderly so I requested a ramp - which I will point out they DO have, that's why they get more than one star!) and the rate has DOUBLED! The rate is now $200 with no deposit/refund (which seems beyond asinine in this business to me - with so much liability) and NO gas included. The boat comes to you gassed-up but then you are subsequently billed for the gas you've used. While I understand a lot of businesses, especially like these, have been impacted by Covid...CLM is not restricted per se and doesn't enough boats for there to even potentially be any social distancing issues. Not to mention gas prices are lower this summer than in probably the last 10-years! Three Rivers and the surrounding is NOT the area for prices like these. I live in Chicago (family here) and you can rent a pontooon for a day there for CHEAPER. That's has never been the case until this year. I'm not sure what's going on or the reason for the increase but you've lost my business (I went and bought a kayak for LESS money than a 1-time rental of the pontoon, that I can own and use any time) and that sucks for me too. I enjoyed renting here in the past. This is not the area or the people that are going to spend this kind of money for mediocre boat on a small lake. I hate to think this but with these prices, CLM will not be renting much longer, I assure you. I'm sorry to write this. I grew up on Corey Lake and it's heartbreaking that the marina has felt the need to make it unavailable now due to the literal doubling in price. I'm at a loss and really disappointed in the "business decisions" you've made.

At 4:30, while on the far side of the lake, we could not start the engine. We left multiple messages. No response. It was a hot, sunny day and we were stuck. No call back, nothing. What is even worse, no follow up response except a short email the next morning with a promise to call later. Again, no call. This guy appears to have a few run down boats that he is using for a slip shod rental business. Five stars to the friendly boater who was willing to take us to a few fishing spots and then back to the dock. What would we have done without him and his wife?
