Needed a full windshield repair due to a handful of rocks completely damaging the bottom left corner of my windshield. Called Clear Quality Auto glass and spoke to a gentleman named Danny who was delightful to speak with and had amazing customer service. I let him know what happened and what I needed and he was actually able to get me scheduled, come to me, and get me taken care of same day which made everything even better! He sent out Junior who was just as pleasant to deal with, again, amazing customer service. He was communicative and fast. The price was affordable which is why I was able to get it done same day. He has a clear pictures before and after that is incident happen and here's the receipt. I went to Clear Quality Auto Glass at 5370 S. Decatur to get a simple chip repair done on my windshield. Instead, they shattered the entire front windshield during the process. What started as a small, affordable fix turned into a huge problem -- caused by them. Rather than taking responsibility, the staff became rude and defensive. They refused to admit fault and even tried to charge me $895 for the full windshield replacement -- which I never needed before walking in. They offered a so-called "discount," bringing it down to $525, which I was still expected to pay out of pocket for something I didn't break. I calmly offered a fair solution: I'd pay half, and they cover the other half. I even told them I understand accidents happen -- but I came in with a tiny chip, not planning to spend hundreds of dollars. The owner flat-out refused, started yelling at me, and kicked me off the property. He even threatened to call the police and accused me of trespassing -- all for trying to resolve their mistake reasonably. This is not how a professional business should treat customers. Their behavior was completely dishonest, disrespectful, and aggressive. They messed up, and instead of owning it, they tried to make me pay for their error. Do not trust this shop. If anything goes wrong, they will not take accountability -- and they will treat you like the problem. read more

If there's a zero star review I would definitely give this place. They have Bad service and owner is rude and obnoxious. No professional service at all. Went in just for a quick fix on a chip glass for $40 but his staff ended up cracking the whole windshield and made us paid for $525 when it's their fault. No accountability for their actions. No apology but just trying to rip customers off. Business like this shouldn't be around if sabotaging customer's pockets. Don't go here because they will do more damage than any good. read more

I love that it took "THE OWNER" over 3 years to see/reply to my review. The owner's passive-aggressive reply and false accusations reveals how he conducts business with customers. Didn't get the car back until 6:30pm (after closing hours). They are definitely understaffed in all areas. Here are all the negatives: -They removed the back windshield to take the old tint off, but didn't bother to call and ask if that's okay with the owner. -Back windshield is now all scratched up, improper use of tools.(razor marks). -Window tint scraps and tape all over the car; they didn't even bother to clean up -Adhesive/tar all over the back sits and roof liner - Tar & debris are trapped between the window and the tint. -Bunch of imprecations on every window they tinted. They couldn't manage to do one window correctly. -Got the car back with the battery completely drained, which triggered codes (eventually cleared once the battery charged, but how and why was my car battery drained while they had the car). For the positives, there aren't any. I even tried contacting the owner before writing this review and give him feedback on my experience which he turned down by saying he was "busy" with a customer after reception told him the reason for my call, Pete didn't even offer for a follow u. There is no point in "lifetime warranty" on all your work, if the end result is a complete fail and just damaging the car in the process. I would rather pay someone else to fix their mistakes, then go back to Clear Quality Auto Glass and deal with their complete lack of customer service and inability to do the job correctly. read more

I went to Clear Quality Auto Glass for a windshield replacement on my Tesla Model Y based on their promise to replace and tint the windshield simultaneously. While Dustin was very nice and genuinely trying to help, my experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They ordered the wrong windshield three times, and I had to go back to the shop each time, only for them to realize it wasn't the correct one. It became clear they were ordering cheap aftermarket windshields instead of the original Tesla part. After I told them to order the OEM Tesla windshield using my VIN, they claimed they weren't allowed to order directly from Tesla. I had to explain how to register on the appropriate website to source Tesla parts, which finally worked--on the fourth visit. As for the tinting, they used a cheap film that wasn't the ceramic Phantom S9 I requested, and the tint wasn't even 50% as agreed. It's more like 25%, which makes the sun blinding and the cabin uncomfortably hot, even in cooler weather. To make matters worse, my Full Self-Driving (FSD) is now completely non-functional. They promised to recalibrate the FSD system after the windshield replacement but failed to do so. Now I'm stuck with error messages, and the system won't work at all. To top it off, the plastic windshield molding flew off after the repair. It felt like this was their first Tesla windshield replacement, and they didn't know what they were doing. The worst part is that after I noticed these issues, I texted them and got no response. Dustin didn't even bother to call me back. I would strongly recommend avoiding this shop. They may mean well, but they clearly lack the experience, professionalism, and follow-through to handle Tesla repairs--or even basic customer service. Just sad. read more

I got a rock chip in my windshield and the very next day it had spread about 24 inches I called three companies to get a quote two of them were around $400.00 and they said they could come to me from 9:00am to 5:00pm sometime next week, Clear Quality Auto Glass said they could they could come out to me between 2:00pm and 3:00pm today and fixed it for less than the other companies. The lovely lady who fixed the chips in my window, Melissa, made an appointment for me to get my windows tinted the day she fixed the chips. (Great work, by the way.) I had been meaning to but...you know...I'm forgetful. The day I arrived they were a bit behind schedule. Admittedly, I was a little annoyed but only because it was my day off and it took a while to be acknowledged. However, they got my car in and out very quickly. Pete, the owner, greeted me about 20 minutes after my appointment to let me know they were running behind. Ok, it happens. If I may make a suggestion, it can be the receptionists job to do that since she is aware of who comes in and their appointment times. Perhaps she can set an expectation at arrival? Just a suggestion. I can see that Pete and his coworker are working hard so how can I be upset when they're doing their best? I am attaching pics of my car so you can see the beautiful job they did.
