Everyone working at the front of the store is super nice, always welcoming, and always asks if you need help finding anything. The back of the store where the pharmacy is though, is not so friendly. There are at least three people working there that are nice and actually acknowledge your presence when you walk up to get your prescription, however for the most part you could stand there without a line in front or behind you, and wait while you watch them fill scrips and key in entries on the computer and even make eye contact with you without saying a word. A simple "I'll be right with you" would be suffice but you don't get that. The only reason I come here for my scripts is insurance purposes. However everything unrelated to the pharmacy is amazing like I said. It's by far my favorite place to do my run in and run out "forgot detergent" or "gotta grab make up I'm out of" store. I just wouldn't recommend using their pharmacy. And the fact they don't sell cigarettes is a plus as well. At least they are getting health conscious.

I get my prescription filled every month right around the same day each month, I've dealt with her on multiple occasions and has been rude, disrespectful and nasty to me almost everytime I've went to fill my script ( especially if there were issues or questions about it) this month was the worse! May 22nd 2026 I had my dr send over my prescription and they asked for it to be filled today as I wa leaving out of town and needed to pick it update rather than tomorrow. This became a WHOLE ISSUE apparently, I called and asked why they were you refusing to fill my prescription and explained I needed it today ( to clarify my insurance covers my medication to be filled and picked up 2 days before the 30 day marks ) it was abnormal for me to pick my medication up on the 28th day of my months considering the type of medication it is and I have to leave my town to go there to pick up. Anyway, they returned my call over an hour later, Ethel was immediately rude to me, talking down on me when I was being polite and just trying to figure this out, she claimed my insurance needed to prove this request because it was before fill date ( in her mind ) so I called my i immediately after and spoke to the women who told me, my medication that I've been on for 6 years was approved to be picked up on day 28 every month and that Ethel didn't even try to run the medication on her end. My insurance offered to call them and speak to her. They got back to me and said " I spoke with Ethel, she said that this would be the ONLY time she would fill this medication and she would refuse todo it anymore after this" so here I am confused on why this women thinks she has ANY say about my medication. She thinks she own this pharmacy , she thinks she's a fucking doctor apparently because she is still in there thinking she can tell people when they can pick up there medication even though MY DOCTOR AND INSURANCE APPROVED IT. I will never ever use CVS for anything, myself, my family, my friends, my whole community is going to hear about this and I will make it my personal mission to have her taken out of this position because it is not okay to withhold people medication and treat them badly because you think your some sort of god. Coming across this locations, you would never know that it would be where it is. Right on the downtown walking mall, in a historic building, it almost surprises you when youre walking up and all of sudden- there's the CVS. At any rate, I walked in and was very impressed with the amount of items that are squeezed into this space- not just the usual drugstore items, but also foodstuffs, candies, chips, party supplies, business supplies, and the pharmacy in the rear of the building. The two issues I had were (1) the low level of customer service and (2) the pricing. The first issue is when I asked if they had a particular item - AFTER LOOKING MYSELF - the girl simply stared at me like I was a moron. Hey- sorry to bother you. I'll let you get back to pushing back your cuticles at the counter and daydreaming out the window. The second issue pertains to the prices which, even though they are a corporation - seemed really high for me in terms of other places I have been to. I don't know if rent is really high in the area, or they have to pay a hefty amount for the items - but it just felt like I was paying out of my nose for everyday items.

They also have a $5 minimum for credit cards. This is not reasonable during a time where prescriptions can cost hundreds a piece but, because my insurance charges me only $1 they need to suck every last drop out of you. Their hours don't suit a busy lifestyle they suit THEIR lifestyles. Another way they are not looking out for their customers. The last straw was on a Saturday ten minutes before they closed at TWO!! They were unable to process my ID through the "new" system but the big name was able too. They are open late, all around easier to deal with. Most employees are either rude or just don't care. The thing I don't care for too much at this CVS is their staff inside the actual store. When I look at makeup and cosmetics, I am almost always followed around and watched by an employee if they're not busy at the checkout counter. It makes me very uncomfortable to shop with someone staring at me every time I look up. Finally, not all of the employees there seem to be fully educated on all of the services that CVS offers. When I travel, I take a prepaid reloadable debit card with me, rather than my bank card. I load the card with money before I leave, and I have done so at CVS dozens of times. This particular evening I needed some cosmetics and went to go pay for them at the counter in addition to reloading my debit card. The lady at the counter gruffly told me "there's an ATM over there. I can't do over $40 in cash here" I said "I can load money onto my card at the ATM?" She stood there and thought about what she said for a moment (which obviously made no sense) and then decided to go ahead and take my transaction. Without apologizing for misunderstanding what I asked for, she then gruffly told me it had to be done in two separate transactions. Also not true, as I have done this dozens of times here. After waiting 7-8 minutes for her to fiddle with the cash register to swipe my card and ring up a nail polish and a lip gloss, my transaction was finally complete. I was not thanked for my business or anything, even though I was very patient with this lady. Needless to say, I haven't reloaded my debit card at CVS since.
