I would not use this company again. Friendly but poor service. The guy that showed up first told me…read morethat he needed water from me. That's what I'm paying them for. He cleansed all 3 rooms in 30 min. He went through that carpet not hitting any area more than once. All he did was put steam on there without lifting up the dirt. The carpet looks the same as it did before he arrived. When you want good service, you have to pay for it. Said it needed to dry, from what? Now I have to pay someone again to come in and clean the carpets right. Very disappointed. If you take someone's money, do the job right.

I decided I would try Kleen Dry since my normal cleaner has increased their prices lately. I was…read moredisappointed on two counts: 1) Their price was higher once they arrived, even though I described the room dimensions exactly on the phone, and 2) From the time they arrived to the time they were gone was less than 45 minutes. That included time to look over the house, increase the price, get out the equipment and pack up and leave. Probably less than 30 minutes were spent cleaning "8 rooms". Having your carpets cleaned is suppose to increase the life expectancy of the carpet, but I don't imagine that this type of cleaning did any good at all. I contacted the owner, Mike, and he showed no concern at all the his employees only spent 30 minutes cleaning the carpets. I do not recommend this company. Previous carpet cleaner spent over two hours cleaning this same house.

Choate's installed a complete HAVAC system for us 9 years ago. I called them on a Friday because…read morethe AC was not cooling. Was given a Saturday appt. from 1-7 PM. The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.
