Stayed here over graduation weekend for my son's high school celebration and overall I'd rate it…read moreabout 3.5 stars. The hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located on Clearwater Beach with just a short walk across the street to the beach. We booked two suites , a 2 queen private rooftop terrace suite with a full kitchen and a poolside king suite with a kitchenette which were spacious and perfect for our large gathering. The rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, the pier, playgrounds, and shops. I also liked that the pool is on the 8th floor with a great view and access limited to hotel guests only. Pool chairs were very comfortable, towels were unlimited with no towel card system, and beach cabana/umbrella rentals were half off for guests. The hot tub being on the 16th floor separate from the pool didn't make much sense though. Room service was daily, and I appreciated being able to text the front desk instead of calling. I highly recommend using the text feature and keeping everything in writing because there were discrepancies regarding credits we were promised. There were unfortunately several maintenance and service issues during our stay. The living room TV constantly glitched and wouldn't sync properly even after maintenance attempted to fix it. More importantly, the AC completely stopped working in the rooftop terrace suite for hours while we hosted about 25 guests for the graduation party. Everyone was hot and sweaty in almost 100-degree indoor conditions. Thankfully the terrace breeze helped, but being offered only a $100 credit for such a major issue during a once-in-a-lifetime celebration felt insufficient! The parking garage situation was also frustrating. We were told our vehicles could enter and exit freely with the resort fee, but every time we tried leaving, the room keys and garage passes failed. We repeatedly went back to front desk to get new passes and had to pay $40 to exit then contact customer service afterward for refunds such a waste of vacation time Customer service overall was very hit or miss. Some employees were wonderful while others seemed miserable and unfriendly. The onsite coffee shop was particularly disappointing I'd recommend walking across the street from The front lobby to the real Starbucks instead. At times it felt like the hotel relies heavily on its excellent location and beach proximity rather than consistent service standards.Coming from previous stays at Sandpearl Resort, I personally would still choose Sandpearl for smaller family vacations. However, I will say this hotel offers more flexibility for large gatherings and easier garage access compared to Sandpearl's valet-only setup. That said, between the AC outage, power issues in BOTH suites floor 8 and 17, lukewarm water, TV problems, phone problems, garage charges, and inconsistent customer service, I would probably try another Clearwater Beach hotel next time. We still made wonderful graduation memories and the location, spacious suites, rooftop terrace, and beach convenience were definitely the highlights of our stay.

Very nice hotel! We had a king, with a partial ocean view. I could sit out there for hours and…read morejust watch the world and all the people go by. So relaxing! And not one spider or bug on that balcony the whole week we were there! Five stars just for that! All staff were very friendly, in fact I believe it was a manager that bought me and my husband drinks after we walked down 15 flights of stairs during a fire alarm. (I swear nobody else even heeded the alarm, we were the only one in the stairwell). We only ate breakfast in the main restaurant (which was good), but we did have room service a couple of times and enjoyed the rooftop bar, The Tropico, for food and drinks. (The kids menu burgers and fries was plenty for me!) All were good experiences. Hotel is in walking distance of so many restaurants, shops and of course, the pier. We only hung out on the beach one day with the loungers and cabana. I was a little disappointed that they weren't included in the stay. The cost was $30 per day. Otherwise I was content to hang out on the loungers at the pool. A store called Surf Style is just a couple of doors down that has besides clothing, your snacks, drinks and all the tourist goodies.

Information is given to us in a timely manner, recitals are organized and summer camps are fun. The teachers were excellent for my daughter with some of the same still teaching here. They youth assistants are talented and congenial with the children. They have a talented dance team but we just wanted our kids to ENJOY dance, not go to the olympics. They were not pressured to compete and this was very important to us. It's okay to dance for fun and exercise. We're very happy at Jeanne Lynne. Can't recommend it enough, especially with the grace with which they have handled the pandemic.

JLDS is IMO the best studio in St Pete! I started taking ballet lessons when I was 5. Every year the studio puts on a recital to showcase everyone's hard work. Watching the recital, I fell in love with clogging. My second year I enrolled in clogging. From beginner, I worked my way up to join the Southern Exposure clogging team and traveled the southern states competing with this team. We even got to travel to Missouri one summer to perform in shows for two weeks at Silver Dollar City, their theme park. Besides clogging and ballet. I also enrolled in tap, jazz, lyrical, African, and hip-hop (my second favorite after clogging). What started off as something my mom put me in as a fun hobby ended in the best time of my life with friends I will have forever. (I'm almost 40 and stopped dancing when I moved out at 22 and I still see some of these girls!) If competition isn't your cup of tea they have normal classes too. Even writing this, my heart is so full and I honestly can't thank my mom enough for the dance memories I have

Here's a breakdown of my experience. APPOINTMENT I made an appointment online using Google and DJ replied quickly and courteously. He was able to schedule us both at a great time right before the holidays - as requested. PARKING We arrived at noon and there weren't many spots near the actual entrance, but we're always looking for "extra steps," so we didn't mind parking under a tree at the other end of the lot. There's plenty of parking. PATIO There's this cute little patio with tables that leads to the salon. If it wasn't cold out, we could have sat there while waiting our turns. LAYOUT The salon is unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's almost like a little salon or stylist "collective" where each salon seems to have their own suite. This is actually great for those concerned with COVID because you're alone with DJ, the stylist once you enter his salon. It's like a little pod or suite. It feels very private. I wish I took photos to share - I will next time. He has it so nicely decorated in modern yellows and gray. Dog lovers will love the portrait and photos of his beloved pup. SERVICE DJ is awesome! He's hip to what's trendy and really knows his stuff. He has more than 14 years experience and it shows. This was our first visit, we had our hair washed, cut and styled. ADDITIONAL INFO DJ is very personable, which is important to me. The pricing is slightly higher than I've paid at other area salons, but it's totally worth it. I definitely would recommend checking out this Seminole-area salon.

Here's why: -His studio is bright, super clean, and easy to access with a ton of parking. -I know what I like when I see it but have a hard time imagining it and don't do a great job of explaining it. DJ has this incredible knack for picking up on cues and reading between the lines to understand what it is you want. He's patient in the discussion about what to do with your hair and helped me feel really confident in the direction we decided to go. -He is very experienced and it shows. -He makes you feel super welcome and is easy to talk to. As soon as you meet him you feel like you're having an old dear friend do your hair. -His pricing is very affordable. -My hair looks fabulous for the first time in a long time! and best of all: -He very obviously cares a great deal about his clients and doing the best job he can. It's so hard to find people who truly care these days. DJ does and it's a breath of fresh air!
