I was seen within a half hour of my arrival by Geraldine Lau DNP, APRN. I felt she was very attentive and really listened. The nurse who checked me in was fantastic as well. She didn't go immediately to medication but gave me practical things to do to address my condition. That afternoon I got a call from her recommending specific exercises and also an over the counter product that might provide relief. I am extremely pleased with the care I received today. I highly recommend Conway Walk-in Clinic and especially Geraldine Lau.

I live in Laconia and the closest Urgent Care is in Gilford, so I drove there and there was a long line! (Sunday at 9a). I quickly drove to Belmont, Convenient MD and they got me in in less than 10m. Where Dr Lisa was able to "glue" my cut. She was outstanding and went above and beyond, teaching me how to bandage my thumb and even gave me supplies of two types of band aids and latex gloves. She made sure I understood how to care for my wound so it wouldn't get infected and the glue would remain in tact the duration of the healing process. I will never waste my time going anywhere else! She looked from a few feet away and after I told her how it started, she backed away and said "That's definitely shingles!" Shingles, Doc, not leprosy. Today I called ClearChoise MD because I am in a lot of unexpected pain. They say, in order for the doctor presently on duty to prescribe anything, I'd need to come back in for him to examine me. I don't have another $160 when all my info from yesterday's exam is on file. Receptionist then tells me they don't prescribe narcotics, "so I don't know what you expect him to do for you". Unbelievable. If you cannot treat a person for what they go in for, then why would you take $160 from them knowing this. And in the type of care they offer it does say they treat any skin rash. In my opinion, treatment means helping the person get better for the illness at hand, not just sending one prescription out, not asking any questions about Pain or give advice on pain management. Clear Choise my ass. I am hoping to hear from the provider who is in today, to see how this continues.

I was in New Hampshire visiting my parents when an extreme case of vertigo decided to punch me right in the face. I'm going to spare the details of what was wrong with me and focus on my experience dealing with the Wentworth-Douglass Express Care. I came here around 9AM on a Monday and the lobby was pretty dang busy. I was able to get checked in right away and after spending around an hour in the waiting room, I was walked inside and given a private room. The nurses I spoke with were all super friendly and the same can go for the doctor who helped me. The staff seemed super knowledgeable, patient, and very willing to work with my "communication issues" making for the best possible experience (out of a bad situation). I spent a total of three hours between taking medicine, doing random tests, and trying a few different things out. Overall, the Wentworth-Douglass Express Center treated me very well, and that's something I very much appreciate. Did this place fix the problem? No, but it's something they could fix so I'm just cool with the fact that they were understanding, patient, and helpful. If you need urgent care and someone to guide you in the right direction, this place can help.

But this place has changed my views! We were on vacation in nearby Wolfeboro and of course, one of the little ones got an infected bug bite that required medical attention. Our PCP back in the Boston area wasn't available to prescribe remotely, so we were left with no choice than to seek treatment at an urgent care facility. This was the closest one, so we made a go. I have to preface my review by saying that I - either accurately or discriminately (I'm not sure!) - associate urgent care facilities with jam-packed waiting areas, an in-and-out you're-just-a-number mentality, a lack of warmth or cleanliness and drug seeking. This place was NOT that. We were warmly welcomed by a young and friendly receptionist. The intake paperwork was a straightforward single sheet of paper. The waiting area was clean and open, with an overhead flat screen TV playing familiar home improvement shows and a small play area for children to boot. Magazines were plentiful. Our wait wasn't long at all, at around 11am on a Wednesday. There was steady traffic of patients, but at no point did it seem cramped or feel unorganized. The place seemed very new. Read: it was clean and modern. After only a ten minute wait in the pleasant waiting area, we were called to the back open area to get a weight and general information about what was going on. We then continued into the private exam room, more vitals and information collected by the medical assistant and then only a short five minute wait later, the treating nurse practitioner walker in. We explained our situation as he listened attentively and then made his diagnosis. He explained the treatment plan and then went to write the medication orders. The entire experience took not longer than 30 minutes. Everyone we encountered was courteous, professional and extremely friendly. I really was so impressed with this place. Given the number of patients and types of situations they see in a day, these providers really were excellent and had such a great way about them. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone in need of urgent care in the area, be they locals or not! Thank you for being there when we needed you!

The Wells lab could not find my husbands orders. Fine things happen. So we called the two doctors…read moreoffices who had ordered them and they assured us they were in the system and the Kittery lab could see them and said they would call Wells. The only issue is Wells does not answer their phone, no matter how often you call. After refusing to take any outside calls and complaining about faxes coming through, we pulled the plug and drove to Kittery who's lab staff were great. So if you take anything away from this go to Kittery instead or take hard copies of your orders.
