I was very impressed with this facility. Being a healthcare provider myself, I'm generally skeptical of any type of on-the-spot medial facility or treatment. But this place has changed my views! We were on vacation in nearby Wolfeboro and of course, one of the little ones got an infected bug bite that required medical attention. Our PCP back in the Boston area wasn't available to prescribe remotely, so we were left with no choice than to seek treatment at an urgent care facility. This was the closest one, so we made a go. I have to preface my review by saying that I - either accurately or discriminately (I'm not sure!) - associate urgent care facilities with jam-packed waiting areas, an in-and-out you're-just-a-number mentality, a lack of warmth or cleanliness and drug seeking. This place was NOT that. We were warmly welcomed by a young and friendly receptionist. The intake paperwork was a straightforward single sheet of paper. The waiting area was clean and open, with an overhead flat screen TV playing familiar home improvement shows and a small play area for children to boot. Magazines were plentiful. Our wait wasn't long at all, at around 11am on a Wednesday. There was steady traffic of patients, but at no point did it seem cramped or feel unorganized. The place seemed very new. Read: it was clean and modern. After only a ten minute wait in the pleasant waiting area, we were called to the back open area to get a weight and general information about what was going on. We then continued into the private exam room, more vitals and information collected by the medical assistant and then only a short five minute wait later, the treating nurse practitioner walker in. We explained our situation as he listened attentively and then made his diagnosis. He explained the treatment plan and then went to write the medication orders. The entire experience took not longer than 30 minutes. Everyone we encountered was courteous, professional and extremely friendly. I really was so impressed with this place. Given the number of patients and types of situations they see in a day, these providers really were excellent and had such a great way about them. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone in need of urgent care in the area, be they locals or not! Thank you for being there when we needed you! read more

Came in with a dislocated shoulder. They told me to get an X-ray and the doctor would decide how to proceed. I asked if they can treat dislocated shoulders and they said they would do their best and had very experienced doctors. Got an X-ray and the doctor saw me for 30 seconds and said they don't do dislocated shoulders. Then they had the audacity to charge me for a full office visit. Other urgent cares in the area told me they don't do dislocated shoulders, but not this one. Place is a scam - stay away. Cannot be trusted. read more

Do not let the name fool you! There is no urgency nor any care provided here! You'll wait hours to be seen by a quack if seen at all! So just be forewarned. Unless you are there right before they open, you will wait 3+hours outside in your vehicle. Then have a nurse come out, ask why your there. Then tell you that this is either a emergency room issue, primary care physician or refer you some where else. IF you do get in to see the quack, he's going to WEB MD what ever reason your there. Then ultimately you will end up having to be seen else where to get care at all. So why go here in the first place. I checked in today at 10:30am and left after 2hrs of waiting! I waited an hour and half to have a nurse tell me the doctor really can't do anything for me, but will see me. Then they all went on lunch. Leaving me in my car waiting. So I left. Then another hour and a half later I get a text saying I can now come in to be seen. That's 3 hours from the time I first showed up!!!! Unacceptable!!!!! They could of told me that they only have one doctor working and he couldn't do anything for me when I first showed up! Ridiculous!!!! read more

I brought my youngest son to be checked out for a rash. I had to bring my middle son with me because I didn't have childcare. The provider we saw was absolutely awful towards me and my children from the second she walked into the room. She told me I needed to learn to control my children because they were making noise while we were waiting in the exam room, they're both toddlers, they're going to make noise. And she told me while she was examining my youngest to "make" my middle calm down because he was distracting her and she "couldn't focus". My middle is autistic and was stimming. He gets agitated in unfamiliar places and stimming helps him self regulate. If you cannot handle children, maybe don't work in a field where you'll have to deal with them. I'll sooner take them to the emergency room than ever return to this urgent care. read more

Expected to have a long wait, even off tourist season, but got in to an exam room after paperwork was done. The prep tech was friendly and efficient. Physician Assistant Glenn correctly diagnosed my problem, helped me understand what I was dealing with, and gave me a referral to the local hospital for treatment. Just what I wanted! Received very prompt, good service. Checked in on line, and then arrived about 10 minutes early, which helped. All providers helpful , friendly and got my Rx over to Hannaford, (right behind this location) immediately. All facilites clean. In and out in less than 30 minutes, though I must say they did not appear busy. I feel certain that they also go the diagnosis, right, as I am feeling much better 24 hours later. read more

Everything with this urgent care seemed great. It is very well organized in terms of registration and pandemic protocols. No complaints there whatsoever. The staff were friendly and personable, cheerful and compassionate. I came here believing I had an infection. I was right and they prescribed an antibiotic, a cephalosporin. They failed to tell me that this medication could lead to antibiotic induced diarrhea and cramping. They failed to tell me that this antibiotic is on the list of those that could lead to a potentially fatal C. Diff. infection. There were other options. None were suggested. Granted, the pharmacy did not give me this information either, but I would think that the pharmacist would expect the doctor to do so. I took the antibiotic as directed. The day I finished it was spent in the bathroom, on the toilet, in agony. The next day was spent in the ER while they tested me for C. Diff. which my primary care physician (in NJ) was convinced I had given my symptoms. Fortunately, I did not have C. Diff., but because I was given an antibiotic and not told of the potential side effects, I lost several days of my vacation either in the bathroom or in bed. I have come here many times in the past for covid tests,flu tests as well as tonsillitis and other issues. O had no issue until today when I was put in one of the rooms,there on the counter was someone else's piss test and not even the nurse saw it when she first came in. I am writing this review as a wait for the doctor who I was told would be here 20 minutes ago. I visited the urgent care for the 1st time and asked to be tested for covid 19. The nurses were friendly and professional. The nurse who swabbed me told me the MD would be in soon after to take a listen to my heart / lungs and have me fill out paperwork for test result. Within a reasonable amount of time the MD came in and after he had me fill out the paperwork which he asked me twice to sign it as i was reading it. I had to tell him I only sign documents i go over first. James Clifford MD did not bother taking a listen to my heart and lungs which is the most basic examination an MD would perform during any visit especially when this is the first time he examines a patient. read more

Got 2+ hours to kill? Well, that is the average wait time "this time of year" according to the dismissive receptionist. You would think in the age of technology and the fact that less people in confined spaces during a pandemic is better that this place would have an online check-in for efficiency, but no. staff VERY unfriendly. they had extreme attitude the whole time my father was filling out the paperwork and were annoyed when he forgot to sign one thing. i was in a group of 3, one was the patient, one was the patients guardian, and I had to come along. we got up to go into the room and the staff freaked out saying not all of us could go back there. what if it was a mother and 2 kids? im sure it be a different story then. staff were very rude to other people in the waiting room as well, somebody asked if they had something in stock and the staff made it seem very inconvenient that she would have to go look for it because she didn't know. WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. Wonderful doctors but the help is seriously hurting their business. This woman who greeted us could not have cared less that my son was in serious pain and bleeding. She looked as if she thought we were bothering her and told us to go sit down and fill out forms. We were the only ones there. I ended up losing it by saying " I can see you don't give a crap about my son's injury. " She never broke her uncaring attitude. I don't advocate people losing their jobs I realize some people can have a bad day. However, it was apparent that her attitude was something she was used to expressing. My boyfriend and I came in for an ear infection, and he's currently in the process of changing insurances. The way the receptionist's attitude was towards us was just not acceptable. After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a good choice, unfortunately it was not. I understand that every insurance plan is different and depending on your deductible, what you pay will vary, but I urge caution to anyone going to this location to ensure you understand your costs fully prior to admittance. I was billed for a new patient visit. After waiting in the lobby for 30 min (there was no one else waiting), I was escorted to the back where a cursory chat occurred regarding my medical history and my weight wasn't even obtained. I then was shuffled from one room to another waiting 30 min or more in one room before being shuffled to the next and waiting another 30 before a tech came back in. It was 1.5 hr before I even saw a doctor and then there were even further delays beyond that. The whole visit took 2h 30min for a fairly straightforward case with no one else ahead of me in the waiting room. After all of this, I received a bill of $226 for my visit NOT including testing costs which were billed out separately by a lab. This was just the cost for the 10 min I received actually seeing/speaking with the doctor. Compared to the typical out of pocket cost for an urgent care visit ($90-100, I've been to many as I move a bit and rarely have a primary provider) I was quite shocked. Word to the wise, make sure you are aware of fees up front and cost compare before you go. read more

I've used this facility before (at another location). I get a text saying "at risk" patients are being offered a COVID- 19 test. I schedule my appointment. I get a number on my car, and am asked to finish registering on my phone. They already have my info. I'm a patient. She pulls up my insurance info, asks me if it's still the same, and asks me to continue registering through the app. The app was buggy. It wouldn't process my info. She takes my cards and payment, and brings me inside. A PA comes in, asks me a few questions, and begins by saying " the Federal gov't has strict guidelines..." meaning she won't administer the test. Did you read what I wrote on my pre-registration form the day before? If you did, you would have called me and asked me a few simple questions that would have saved us both some time, and my risk for exposure. In the end, I asked for, and received a refund. Only after being escorted outside, and while patient #2 was being escorted in. If you don't have enough tests, then don't offer it as part of a text marketing campaign, to people in a high-risk population. read more
