I had a simple brass plaque engraved about 1 1/4" x 3". I gave them explicit instructions and even a mock up. The lettering is uneven in spacing, they condensed the last word so it would fit and the second line was larger than the first. I tried to get "Bob" to do it over but he refused! I needed a plaque in a day. They usually need a week. I got it in 20 minutes. When I arrived, I told them I also needed it to be attached to a smallish round bottle. They said brass won't work- can't bend it that much without it popping out and cutting you. They used two layers of a metallic looking self-adhesive mylar. Looked just great. This place rocks. I remember going here with my dad back in the day when he needed trophies for his chess club. And when I say back in the day, I'm talking bell bottoms and stripped shirts with platforms era. Fast forward to today when I needed some awards for employees that I waited last minute to get. Not only were they able to do it within days, but they also saved me a whole lot of money compared to some engraving places in shopping malls. Quality is great, they have a nice assortment or awards and gifts, and they are nice people. Can't ask for anything more. I have used this outfit in the past with reasonable results. The number of trophies ordered this time was larger. Email exchange can be a great way to make certain that the engraving information is correct. But not with this company. They seem to receive the email they want to see and ignore those they do not want to see. The result is incorrect engraving information that can be costly. It is what happened when I forwarded the email they presumably had not received concerning the correct engraving that is the problem. They simply replied "We did not receive them". I was not asking for a refund, but they clearly thought I was. As a business owner, I would find a way to keep the customer happy and at least say "Sorry, but we did not receive the email" by telephone and email. Then I'd try to find a win- win solution. You will not get that type of minimum customer service here folks. read more

Only come here if you're willing to get swindled. Asked for quotes twice already and every time, it's come in exponentially more than any other place I've received quotes from. As an example, I was able to get mini plaques to attach to trophies for $3.50-4 at another local place (San Mateo ave in San Bruno), but here they were charging me $16 for the same exact thing. Second time I received an over the top quote. Too bad too because I love giving local small businesses some love, but won't try again with this one. read more
