Got a flyer from Clearview so thought we would give their gutter cleaning service a try. The guys came within the 2 hour time frame that was scheduled. They did a good job cleaning the gutters as evidenced by the one third full trash bin. There were 2 things that went amiss though. After they left, I noticed that there is something that was left on the roof. Emailed them with the picture and the owner sent someone to take a look. Turned out it was a patch of moss that was overlooked. Then another day, I noticed another thing left on a different area of the roof. Called them and they sent someone over to fix it. Wish they would double check their work but it's a testament to the company's focus in customer service that they sent someone over to make things right. read more

My neighbour has this company do whatever cleaning services they provide every year to their house and every year the debris from the method in which they use their tools gets all over my house and other neighbouring properties. The owner (Kevin) will fight tooth and nail justifying why this happens and how the crew will clean it up afterwards but the real focus should be prevention or in other words, ensuring this doesn't happen in the first place. I have to chase these guys down every year to ensure they clean up the mess they leave behind and even when they clean it up, it's just more mess for me whether it is more dirt on the walkways than to begin with, the side of the house being unnecessarily soaking, or whatever the issue may be. I do not hire these guys however I deal with the aftermath of their cleaning services. The debris from the result of their services should be kept localized to the property being worked on. It seems like a simple concept but clearly is lost on these folks. I understand "time is money" but perhaps using a different cleaning method on specific sides of a given house when the proximity is close to neighbouring properties might be a fresh way of thinking here. An additional 15-20 minutes of due care will not affect the bottomline compared to the negative interactions from the unheard victims of this company's services. I have hired hundreds of different companies for various services across hundreds of properties and each time the companies have nets, a mesh, guards, or just a modified process to ensure debris is kept localized. I am sure this company has good services but they have very low regard for neighbouring properties. Personally, I pride myself in keeping my home clean and ensuring that when I work on my own and others' homes, I ensure ZERO debris (whether it be water, wood, glass, nails, you name it) does not even get near the neighbouring properties. I treat people the way I would want to be treated, right? And to answer Kevin's (the owner) statement publicly that he made during a phone call; yes, I even ensure my water sprinklers are not going on to neighbouring properties. That's how meticulous I am when it comes to the respect of other people's properties and belongings. The bottomline is that if I can prevent it, I do and the best way to do that is to do it right the first time. ClearView Home Services can 100% prevent flying debris, they have the capability to do so but ultimately it is a choice that has to be made and a slight modification to the work process. Unfortunately they do not, or will not, make the required change. Anyway, I am so sure that this fiasco will happen again, as it seems it's an annual event, that it is now in my calendar as a reminder to check out the side of my house around this time of year when these guys arrive to work on my neighbours house. I welcome the opportunity to modify this review one year from now and follow-up on the situation then but so far it has just been frustration. Crazy. read more
