I bought a new variable speed pool pump from Clearwater. Their prices were lower than any other local pool supply stores. Tom came out the next day and installed an updated subpanel with Siemens GFCI breakers along with the new pump. He's such a friendly guy and explained everything. He helped me setup the Pentair Pool App and programmed the pump run times. He also gave me many tips to help with efficiency and keeping the pool stabilized and clear for all of the seasons. My home warranty had this business come out to check out my pool, they called to schedule an appointment, on the phone I was very specific about my pool filter. Their employee shows up and starts writing all over the pipes with a permanent marker. Kept misspelling words so he kept rewriting them over and over. Now it looks like a 2 year old came over my house and wrote all over the pipes! I thought that was very rude of the employee after I asked him not to. He got offended when I called him out on it and left. They charged me $85 and didn't resolve any issue. Pipes were labeled very unprofessional, very sloppy. read more

We buy our chemicals from here. However, tried to get this place to put in a new pump system. Refuse to return calls, clamed he could not get pump and pool parts. 2 days later we found someone to get parts and install. This company does not return calls.. Barry from artic blue did an amazing job within week with no excuses. Tried one more time to get Clearwater to fix our pool light. Asked if he fixes lights, said yes he does. However refuses to fix ours for no reason. Apparently, this company does not like business or people money. We bought a pool sweeper and chemicals from Clearwater. Tom came out to replace our very old pump that was heavily leaking water with a new Pentair Variable Speed Pump. He is very professional and knows his stuff when it comes to pools and pool pumps. Not only did he replace our pump (which works awesome!!), he went above and beyond as he noticed our Polaris sweep wasn't running correctly and took it apart to adjust some things and get it running correctly. He also gave us some tips in regards to chemicals and the overall health of our pool water. He takes great pride in his work and wants to make sure everything is perfect. I first met Tom when I hired him to service my pool when I first bought my house over 10 years ago. He did an outstanding job and I was sad when he quit servicing my area. I have yet to find another pool service that takes care of my pool as well as he did. Last week my cell for the salt water system went out. My current pool service was so backed up they wouldn't be able to work on it for 3-4 weeks. Tom was able to come out in 2 days and got everything running again. He's also going to replace the gears for my pool's pop up cleaning system. I wish he would start servicing pools again because he's so honest and keeps on top of things. He's awesome! read more

Love these guys! I'm all about supporting your local stores. This place is small but what they don't have they can get for you next day. They are very knowledgeable and don't mind spending the time to walk you through things in the store even when you don't use them to service your pool. To Whom It May Concern: My home warranty company contacted your company to come out and take a look at my pool equipment to let me know what was wrong with it. After sending out your technician, I contacted Cary to talk to her about the findings. In our conversation, she wasn't explaining the report to me clearly and I was confused about what she was saying, so I started asking her questions. The conversation took a turn for the worst, she got frustrated, upset and hung up on me. I tried calling back a few times and got no answer. After several times the phone rang, it went into voice mail and figured out she was calling me from a cell phone. I then turned around and sent her a text message asking her why she hung up on me and told her she was unprofessional. Her reply to me was "Your Crazy". You know, I am really struggling to understand how you run such a business that has great reviews, yet your front office person has poor customer service skills. I did write a Yelp review stating the same thing I am telling you (worded different). Since I work with one of the largest social media company's in the San Francisco area, we are in the habit of using social media platforms to voice our opinions. I did not want to take to FaceBook, Twitter or Google as I felt this issue could be easily resolved. I do have a copy of the text messages if you want to see them. I never used foul or derogatory language toward her, I was upset and trying to get a clear understanding. I tried to look up the owner's name on the State of California Business website to notify them of my experience, but that is going to take some time. After the pool inspector came and looked at my pool and the estimate was written, I called and talked to Kerri (the front office person). She and I were in disagreement about what the estimate said and I told her I already had someone else come out and they told me something different, she became very defensive, flustered, couldn't talk, and was easily stressed out and told me "I can't deal with this, I'm just done, I don't want to talk about this anymore" and hung up on me. I called back to talk to someone else and no one answered the phone. It is a little over 5:00PM and they close at 6:00PM and no one will pick up the phone. Then, we had an issue with our pool skimmer and sent to them for repairs... kept getting told, "The parts are on order" for over 2 years. When we finally had enough and asked for our pool skimmer back, SURPRISE! they had no record of ever having it. They would never show up on a time or on their scheduled date and evidently "bothering" the owner on the weekend when they don't show up on their scheduled date every week is a big no no.
