I called this florist on the recommendation of a friend and I couldn't have been happier with the arrangement they made. I talked to Wanda and I told her I needed a very special arrangement for a friend's daughter who is battling cancer. I told Wanda that this women's favorite color was red and I talked about something I saw on their website. However it wasn't their website it was one of these 1-800 numbers that don't do arrangements. As Wanda explained to me those companies, FTD, put pictures that look nice and when you call them, after taking your money, they in turn call businesses in the city where you want your flowers to come from and ask if they can make a bouquet like what you wanted. I don't know who makes all the money but I think it's the 1-800 companies. I was warned about this years ago from a friend who worked in a florist shop. Bottom line call Clements directly. The recipient said the bouquet was stunning and it was the nicest arrangement she had seen in years. Call Clements. They are great people. read more

Although this is a delayed review, I wanted to gather my thoughts before writing it. I live in Las Vegas, NV but I am originally from Asheville, NC. Unfortunately, the last few visits has been due to deaths in our family, most recently being my mother's sister(my aunt). We have used Clements as our go to florist several times , with this being no different. Due to arriving into town a few days before the funeral , we made a mad dash to Clements to see if they could have a flower arrangement made for the next day. The lady and gentleman( I apologize for not getting their names)who greeted my mother, my daughters, and myself as if we were old friends. They were so warm, courteous, and accommodating. They were more than happy to make sure our request would be handled with the short time we provided and utmost care. With prices increasing everyday, this arrangement more than exceeded our expectations. The gentleman gave us a handful of beautiful flowers, just because. With the sad circumstances that we were facing , this put a smile on all of our faces. Again, we've been here several times and have always been treated in the most heart warming way. I wasn't able to obtain a picture but I can assure you they were exactly what I ordered. It was gorgeous!! Thank you Clement's. Ordered some Teleflora flowers for a funeral and the order was done by Clements Florists. I'm including a photo from the Teleflora site of what I thought I'd get, or something close to, for the 90 bucks I was paying plus all the fees, taxes, delivery, etc, and a photo of what was actually delivered. I certainly understand substitutions for things not available, but what we got was no where near what is pictured. 2 -been open for days- roses instead of the 6 pictured. None of the smaller roses pictured, instead it's carnations. Carnations are fine but there were already carnations supposed to be in it so that's not a substitution, just stuff missing. No gerber daisies and nothing replacing them. No white lilies which would be great for a funeral, instead it's tiger lilies. The orange just doesn't do it, so anything else white would have been better. Not lush. No filler flowers. That's all one thing, here's the other about dealing with Clements. After I saw the big differences, I called. Spoke with John about the discrepancies. He said that the cross in the piece cost him $25 so they put in the flowers to amount to the money they got from Teleflora ($89.) I said that he's agreed to be a Teleflora florist and needs to complain to them instead of shorting the customer. He said I could bring it out to them and they'd fill in with some daisies. Thanks for the offer but after I had to pay for delivery (no option with Teleflora to pickup), and the funeral is at hand, that's not an option. Why didn't they fill in with daisies to begin with and try to make it a little nicer certainly? Big kicker: and then, he hung up on me. Not great customer service. Might be a "family business" that's been around for years, but I certainly won't be back with them OR Teleflora. I did call Teleflora and they are refunding part of the expense. At least there's that but it's flowers FOR someone, not for myself so that doesn't really matter. Bad florist. Bad florist. read more

Clements was recommended to me as I live out of town now. In August we needed a floral arrangement for my Mama's Memorial Service at the WNC VA Cemetery in Black Mountain. The gorgeous, generous bouquet came ready for use in the chapel. It was then moved to the gravesite. Several people commented on its beauty. The woman taking the telephone order mid-July was very kind. I asked about the cost of small centerpieces for our dinner later. My budget didn't allow for that, but she gave me some great DIY ideas, which I used. But you know what surprised me was the day before the service she called to confirm their delivery time & place the next day AND ask me about the centerpieces. I know about salesmanship - to offer customers the things they need and she did this with an intention to serve; not sell. Clements would be my florist if I lived in Asheville. read more

TERRIBLE. These people re the worst. I called in a flower delivery on a Friday. The cashier took my information and told me the order was good to go. I got a phone call while out of town at a training seminar that said they had written my credit card information down wrong. The next day they began harassing my wife at her work where they delivered the flowers. She was extremely embarrassed. When I called them, I spoke to Lisa who was rude as all get out. When she started on her verbal tirade, I let her talk and apparently she thought I hand hung up, so she called me a "Son of a Bitch". I hung up and called back, when I spoke to Rhonda. Rhonda was absolutely rude and denied the whole thing. These people are hand writing personal credit card info and retaining it past the point of sale ( A HUGE security VIOLATION). We contacted Visa to file a complaint that these people are keeping credit card information illegally. Bottom line, these people are rude, liars, and cant handle credit card info properly. read more

I called to order my mom flowers on her birthday and have it delivered to her work. (I live out of town) Well when the flowers arrived there wasn't a ribbon or anything decorative. There was so much green it looked like a plant. I will NEVER order flowers from here again. I choose them bc I was supporting local business being I'm from there. Now I spoke to Holly and she was very nice, she said she didn't make my order. I called to complained and the manager said my mom could come to the store and pick out an arrangement. WOW!!!! This is the BEST flower shop with the BEST staff! My sisters and I went in there to buy flowers for our Dad's casket as well as a wreath for his door. It was super sad and the staff cried with us and laughed with us. They asked about our Dad and really listened as to help us find the best flowers. They even sent flowers to the funeral home FROM Clements. I can not recommend these wonderful humans more. I live out of town but will never buy flowers in Asheville from anyone else. Fan for life.
