I love good homemade syrups

Flora & Forage is a cool shop - on one side it's a small coffee shop with a few pastries and some coffee items and on the other it's a full-on plant, floral, gift shop. I saw some very unique items inside - some jewelry is in the glass case in the back, they have some beautiful plants for sale, make floral arrangements, and sell plant-themed items as well as small gifts and cool trinkets like candles, soap, and other wares. I enjoyed wandering around the shelves filled to the top with green, healthy plants and looking at their terrariums. They have some cool seats surrounded by flowers near the windows too to sit and enjoy your coffee and work or hang out. Neat vibe inside and on a cool street with a bunch of other cool shops nearby.

This was a cute store and offers the best of all my favorite things - coffee, books, and plants! I went in looking for a specific plant I've had on my wish list for a while and unfortunately, couldn't find it. They do offer a great selection of gifts as well as pots and little nick nacks. There was a florist table in the back where I think you can grab some bouquets. We were limited on time but I'd definitely go back!

This place is heaven on earth. They have a book store on one end, a coffee shop in the middle, and they have gifts and plants. They have house plants and can put together bouquets. They had a great selection and they grew the plants themselves in their green house. I left with a beautiful philodendron and they potted it for me for a small fee.

This place is beautifully designed! My husband and I made this place a destination on our vacay (staying in Sylva, NC), but from South Florida. The flowers they use for arrangements were incredible. . .I wish I could've taken a bouquet home! There are numerous plants to purchase, along with plenty of books and Knick knacks. I ordered a lavender rose latte, which was ok. I felt a place like this would have a beautiful presentation for their coffee. We also really, really wish they had food other than popcorn or pre-packaged snacks to enjoy. Otherwise, this place is gorgeous. It's such a cool hangout spot.

Wow this is easily one of my favorite stores I have ever been to. Full of unique plants, daylight, and humidifiers, plus cute little vintage-y plant things, a whole section of handmade salves, candles, and even organic nail polish. I could do literally all of my gift shopping at this place and be totally content. While I didn't buy the entire store like I wanted to, I had a great experience and walked away with some treasured goodies. First stop was the coffee shop on the left side for a maple clove iced coffee-- pretty tasty. Service was absolutely top notch, the person working was incredibly kind and warm, just one of those folks you can tell immediately has a good soul. I ended up buying the beautiful pink Cattleyea orchid in my photos after I took the picture. She's currently resting on the plant shelf behind my kitchen sink. I also brought home a few cute and unique little ferns that I love, and a rosey-scented roller oil. The oil roller has some cute little crystals and flower petals inside and smells awesome. Definitely a little pricey at $28 but handmade items like that tend to be on the higher price end. Just a regular reminder that 'out of budget' doesn't mean 'overpriced'. Sometimes you just need to treat yourself. If you like plants and artisan handmade things, this store is a must-visit. :) Super excited to say that I just discovered a very similar store in my hometown the weekend after I came back from Asheville-- cant wait to check it out.

Love this cute plant shop so much! They offer a wide variety of plants and super cute pots. Everything is fairly priced and the plants are in good shape. There's even a coffee bar with some pastries inside! I walked away with a small pot and a calathea. The staff is friendly as well. Highly recommend for any looking for new plants, pots, or just want to browse a cute shop :)

A unique coffee shop that doubles as book store and and small garden center. Great popcorn made locally after you finish your drink !

Beautiful bouquet with family heirlooms attached.

My daughter eloped in the Blue Ridge mountains outside of Asheville so I did some research and landed on Flora. I submitted an online request and received a return phone call the next day they were open. We talked about what she wanted in a bouquet: simple, bohemian, nothing too large with greenery. We picked up the bouquet the day before the ceremony and followed the instructions to keep it in water in a cool place. The bouquet was stunning and lasted all weekend! The ladies at Flora were so kind and helpful, which was just what I needed since my baby girl was about to get married. I'm forever grateful.

What a great little spot! I love the concept for Flora. They are a legit florist as well as a coffee shop/cafe. We stopped in after eating brunch in this area. The interior is so pretty and they have lots of great plants for sale. We ended up grabbing two as well as a nice pot. The staff there are also super friendly and will tell you how to care for your plants if you don't already know. I was glad to see the place so busy- lots of people trolling for plants. We ended up here a second time as well, for coffee. I ordered a soy latte and it was great. We didn't hang out in their lovely space because we were on our way somewhere else but this is definitely the type of spot where you could chill and read a book. Definitely a unique concept and a great place to check out!!

Okay coffee, but the woman who works here is very rude and unhelpful. Will not be returning or recommending it to anyone unfortunately.

We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in town!

The historic architecture is beautiful and definitely catches your eye from the outside, but unfortunately that's where the excitement ended for me. Visiting on a Sunday afternoon, the building felt surprisingly quiet. There was very little foot traffic, and many of the shops had few or no customers, giving the space an empty atmosphere rather than the lively marketplace I expected. It's very disappointing!! Parking is another downside. There's no free parking nearby, so you'll need to use metered street parking or pay for one of the public parking garages if you're driving. I prepaid 1.5 hours and was out of the building in less than half and hour.
