I placed an order this morning for flowers to be delivered to a friend. The website was easy to use and the flowers arrived before noon. I paid more to upgrade the arrangement, but when I received a picture of the arrangement from my friend, I was a little embarrassed. It has the same types of flowers, but it was a much smaller arrangement than pictured. I called and spoke with Tina who told me that the pictures online are not an accurate depiction of how they really look, and she did offer to give me a discount on my next order. I appreciate her responsiveness and offer of a future discount; however, it doesn't help with the disappointment in seeing the arrangement that was delivered. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this florist. Somewhere between Alabama & North Carolina the dried flower bouquet & boutonnière my daughter special ordered from Lithuania for her elopement disappeared. This was discovered only a few hours prior to the ceremony. Needless to say there was quite the dramatics...tears, yelling, panic attack, etc. I took a chance, googled Asheville florist (since that's where we were headed for the ceremony), and went with the first one. Praise the Lord it was Merrimon. I explained the situation & beautiful woman on the other side of the phone said "Bless her heart. I don't have dried flowers but we will do our best to help. What kind of flowers & colors does she want & tell me the price range you'd like to stay in." I told her a small wildflower bouquet & the colors. I was then asked if I had a picture I could send her & thankfully I did. The bouquet that was made looked very similar to what my daughter ordered, only prettier! She kept to the size, style, & price. The most amazing part to me is she had them made & waiting for me 4 hours after I called her! I don't know about anyone else, but where I'm from there's not a florist around that will make a bridal bouquet & boutonnière in the same day, much less on zero notice. On top of that I was floored she had such a variety of flowers! THANK YOU MERRIMON FLORIST FOR SAVING THE CEREMONY (and our sanity). Love this florist! I wanted to send a special arrangement to a friend who was having a gallery opening. The challenge was that I live in Chicago and the gallery was in Asheville. And I know in the past that not all florists are created equal so I was a bit worried about just having my local florist send something. So after doing some checking around- someone suggested Merrimon Florist. And I have to say that it was a great recommendation! Steve and his team really came through for me. I ordered something that was a bit more "artistic" than a normal arrangement . .either in form, in flower or in both. I told them what my budget was and they were able to accommodate me. Given I was going to be at the event- I knew I was going to see the flowers that I had sent so I wanted to make sure that they were lovely. On the day of the event- I showed up to the gallery and the flowers had not been delivered yet. I was a little nervous as this gallery is not well known so I called the florist. I got the owner, Steve, and he couldn't have been nicer. He recognized my order, told me the delivery driver was waiting a little bit to make sure that someone would be there to receive them and basically reassured me in every way. When the flowers did arrive shortly thereafter- they were beautiful! Birds of paradise, twisted willow, orchids, artfully cut palm fronds and more graced the arrangement. My mother was in the hospital, I am out of state and I wanted to send her something amazing because I was not able to be there due to my own impending surgery a few days away. The owner of Merrimons answered the phone... he was so kind & compassionate. My mother could not have certain flowers due to the sensitivity of her condition and he was super knowledgeable. I told him I needed her to pick up the phone and tell me "the flowers you send were FABULOUS!" - She did JUST that and said it was the most beautiful bouquet she had ever seen. Its a week later as I write this, and the gorgeous, modern bouquet is still beautiful. One of my peeves are ".com" florists whose flowers are puny after a couple of days.... Steve used the freshest flowers and that was SUPER important to me. I also like to give local businesses my money. My mother was brightened by that gift of flowers and that was the point.
