When the treatment turned out to be too intense, she honestly recommended that I avoid doing this again in the future, because the product used that day caused me physical distress. The moment the "Hair Botox" was applied--long before any flat iron heat was used--the chemical fumes were so strong that my eyes watered instantly and my sinuses burned, as if someone was chopping onions right under my eyes and nose. It smelled very chemical, like formaldehyde, not natural. It was so intense I needed a damp rag to cover my face. It also gave me a painful burning sensation on my scalp that left visible redness, though it did subside after about half an hour. True Hair Botox is supposed to be a gentle, nourishing vitamin mask, but the low-grade formula used here acted like a harsh chemical straightener. Even so, the treatment completely washed out of my hair within a few days, even though I followed the aftercare instructions, leaving my strands rough and frizzy. Furthermore, charging $250 for short male hair is a steep price for a service that did not last. While I appreciate Tina reaching out to apologize, and the kindness of the staff, the product used that day was not of good quality.

The bathrooms were clean, and I absolutely loved the glitter floors! Cristina offered me water, tea, or coffee while I waited for my hair to color which is always a nice gesture. Now on to Cristina. Not only is she gorgeous and sweet, she is amazing at cutting hair! I have curly hair, so I am VERY picky about who I go to and who cuts it. I came to Diana with healthy, jet black, henna dyed hair and was looking to get a color correction. I usually, would DIY lighten my own hair due to my trust issues from a history of my hair being botched by "professionals" at other salons, but there is a lot of risk when bleaching hair that has been previously dyed with henna, so I was not going to take the risk in doing it myself. I was hoping for her to take my jet black hair to somewhere in the blonde range. Diana explained the process thoroughly and told me that it would be just that... a process. Removing henna from the hair can be very risky and results vary, but she reassured me that I would leave her salon looking presentable as though my hair was not going through a transition. She was very attentive to me and my hair as she lightened it. I left her salon with gorgeous hair and lighter results after each appointment. I believe I had 3 appointments total with Diana and the final result was stunning!!!! She did not give me the average, solid haircolor that so many other professionals would. She had lifted my hair to a beautiful ashy blonde with subtle highlights. She gave me a haircolor that looked like I could have been born with it! She got me as light as possible without compromising the integrity of my hair. I didn't see or feel one bit of damage! A true 10 out of 10 experience. Diana is nothing short of amazing!!
