Clemson Animal Hospital is an amazing veterinary practice. Dr. Lindsey takes the time each pet needs to examine them, talk over what he thinks the problems are, and prescribe treatment. Even when we're just there for routine exams, he does a great job. My cat never even knew he was getting a shot! The prices are also extremely reasonable and I have no doubt that he could charge more if he wanted to. He really is in this profession to help animals and it shows in the care he and his teams provide. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lindsey and his practice for any veterinary needs. read more

Have been with this vet for 3 years. We have always loved them and truly thought that cared for our animals. Recently, our 8, almost 9 yr old dog, needed a mass removal under his arm. When dropping him off, we signed consent papers. We did not consent to buried sutures on this form. When picked him up, we were told they did in fact do the buried sutures anyway even though we had not consented. They then tried to charge me for these buried sutures until I pushed back that we hadn't even consented to them. The vet tech then told us that the vet who did the surgery did the buried sutures "because she didn't want to deal with him coming back to get them out". My husband and I were appalled that, that was the reasoning and that they said they to us. We spent almost $600 on this surgery. 3 days later our dog stood up out of his bed and popped his sutures completely open. We then spent all night and $800 in an emergency vet. That vet told us the buried sutures were not sufficient and that the incision had not been cut correctly or sewn up correctly. I spoke with the manager at Magley about this the following Monday (2 days after the Saturday night emergency vet visit). She was very nice and listened to all I had to say and told me she would review everything and get back to me by Wednesday. I called the practice Thursday morning when I hadn't heard back. I understand they were busy the day prior, but with a situation we are this upset about, it felt like we were not a priority to get back to. She told us the best she could do was offer a $200 credit to our account, even though the original procedure cost us almost $600 PLUS what we then spent on the emergency vet. The manager then told me that I told her the emergency vet said that the "sutures were misplaced" and that is not what I told her. I told her the ER Vet said the sutures were not sufficient and she basically then told me that I was lying and she remembered what I said. They do not want to take any accountability for the fact that they did sutures I did not consent to which then resulted in my dog popping his sutures and us spending all night and $800 more in the ER vet. Their fix was a "$200 credit to the account" which does not even begin to fix the situation. When I spoke with the owner of the practice, Dr. Magley, she was very rude and told us that she didn't owe us anything and even though we did not consent to the sutures our dog received, it was fine because they could do whatever they wanted as long as they thought it was best. She then wanted the weekend to think over a resolution and I told her "I'd really like to have it resolved now because this has been a whole week of dealing with it and we don't feel like our concerns are being heard." She then stomped over to the register, pulled out cash, and rudely handed it to me. She told me "I'm done talking about this. I don't want to hear about it anymore. This goes against everything I stand for." So, I guess if taking accountability for their mess up is against what she stands for, then probably a good idea to avoid this practice. The way they have handled this situation has been incredibly disappointing as we've always been so happy with them. They preach that their client satisfaction is a priority to them but this situation has shown us that their professionalism and willingness to take accountability is seriously lacking. I do not recommend this vet in the slightest after seeing their true colors, which makes me so sad to say. read more

This office has gone way downhill since Dr. Lindsey passed. I brought my dog in for a routine check and vaccines today and I was there for at least 90 minutes. They're still getting your animal at your car without you coming in, and when they brought my dog back she was covered in urine and feces. The girl merely offered me a paper towel to clean the dog's body. The veterinarian never came to my car and the girl had forgotten to get my payment information until I reminded her. I know families have been hightailing it away from Clemson Animal Hospital since Dr. Lindsey passed and I wanted to give the new staff a chance, but not anymore. We will be finding a new veterinarian after 10 years there. read more

Staff is extremely rude! Do yourself a favor and find a different vet. When I arrived to check in I was told that I would have to wait outside in the parking lot by the front desk lady who is extremely rude. Next another rude vet tech finally came out to get my dog took her back for two minutes and brought her back out. I was told to bring a stool sample and when they brought the bill out to the parking lot they gave no update on the results until I asked so the tech ran back in and came back and said good to go with a thumbs up. That was all that was the extent of the visit with "the vet". Don't waste your money find another vet. read more

I am so sorry that Dr. Lindsay passed away. But every since he did, this place has been a zoo. I had an appointment one day and it was so backed up I rescheduled. Today I made it back in with my dog and my experience with the temp vet was horrible. To add to the madness, they "did" a bunch of things I asked them not to do and charged me for it. I was so frazzled at how bad my dog was treated that I couldn't even argue about the price. I would really like for my dog to stay on as a patient but if the asshole that dragged him up and down the hall and around the examination room stays, I won't be back. Needless to say, we won't be eating much this week since no one did as we requested. Best of luck to the Lindsay family. I'm going to Fox Nest. read more

I would never recommend going here. I took my 3 month old puppy here 3 times worried about her eating habits, lack of weight gain, and sickness. Time after time they told it was just a stomach virus and that she would get better eventually. Turns out she has a life threatening birth defect and may die. This could have been caught over 2 months ago and treated, but now we are paying thousands of dollars for a small chance that she may live. The staff here is very nice, but Dr. Lindsay never discussed any concerns about my dog with me and treated me like a child because I am in college. If you care about your animal, take them somewhere else. read more

When I started using Clemson animal hospital years ago, it was a warm and friendly place to take my pets to be treated or boarded. But that friendly warm place slowly developed into a not so desirable place now. Some of the staff has changed which has made a big difference (negatively). read more

We drive all the way from Fair Play, SC to see Dr. Lindsay. He and his staff are very good with our pets. We have to have medicines for both our pets and have had no problems with getting them refilled there on time. Also, one medicine is phenobarbital and his rate is lower than Walmart!!
