We have met both Dr. Stroud and Dr. Smith for our kittens' care, and we liked them both. They did conflict with one another with regards to some of the medical information they gave us but that could have been just a difference in opinion between the two. We also met a third Vet (female) who works occasionally on surgery days. She was also wonderful. All three of the Veterinarians took the time to answer my questions and offer suggestions on care. I never felt rushed during the office visits. I felt that all three were very competent doctors and that my kitten received good care in their hands. Miscommunication occurred regarding pricing on the surgery, but the office manager made it right in the end. I would recommend getting any quotes on surgeries done in writing beforehand because this miscommunication was probably an honest mistake. In any case the fact that they held to their original quote and made things right really impressed us. Everyone makes mistakes, it is how we handle those mistakes that is the measure of our integrity. Kudos to Krysta the Office Manager! The Vet techs were all great also. Our favorite employee is Helen. I am not sure of her role, but she has checked us out a couple of times and is so down-to-earth yet professional and personable. read more

Our Maybelline has an eye wart. She was treated so well by the Walhalla Veterinary Clinic staff and doctor. She didn't seem afraid at all. They were even able to cut her toenails with no problem! The doctor gave her a rabies vaccination and she never even flinched. I don't think she knew he did it! Definitely recommend! read more

I've brought my mothers dogs here and I've also brought my cats to this vet when I was in South Carolina. The staff is nice and the doctors seem fine but the wait times are obscene. And I held off on commenting on this for years because when we were in the middle of the pandemic with everybody being masked and 6 feet apart and waiting outside and they were figuring out their computer system the long wait times are seemed somewhat justified while they were sorting things out. But two years later I making appointments so that I don't have to wait for a walk and still waiting well over 90 mins to get in. And then deciding maybe afternoon is the problem and coming early in the morning for a follow up and still waiting over an hour. The doctors are very different and have contradicted one another, as well. We've since moved away and found a lovely vet near the new house. read more

The doctors and other staff are kind, compassionate, and patient -- meeting all the needs of my three pets and me (a 66-year-old who is in love with her pets!). read more

I have used Walhalla Veterinary Hospital for all my pets for 40 years. I always feel welcomed and know my animals are going to be cared for like they are members of my family. The vets let me know they are concerned for their health and their needs. Recently, one of my dogs needed immediate ICU hospitalization. Dr. Smith set everything up for this and gave me instructions. After 3 days of ICU, Dr. Smith agreed to take over my dog's care so to save me an even higher bill. The hospital shared with me that they were impressed with Dr. Smith's willingness to help me....letting them know they knew me and my dog! What a great relieve to me to have Walhalla Veterinary to treat me and my animals with such care and concern. read more

Have seen Dr. Stroud with my pack since moving to the area in 2010. In years past, the wait times might've been a bit too long but have improved much in the past year. Dr. Stroud has seen my dogs through a variety of illnesses, surgeries, and dental procedures. He's always been exceedingly compassionate and caring, as are his veterinary staff and the wonderful ladies at the front. I highly recommend WVH. read more

My mother-in-law's dog was hit by a car yesterday. May 3rd, 2022. When she called this vet's office, she was told that they couldn't see the dog because they were closing in half hour. The injuries were critical. She was in such bad shape that she was laid to rest by the vet. The vet at Magnolia Veterinary hospital was understanding, caring, gentle and compassionate. Walhalla animal hospital vets don't care about the animals even when the dog was an established patient. Deplorable! read more

i have taken my pets there for 40 years. Not had a problem until the last year. They have so many new rules and policies that all boils down to money. i needed a little understanding and help and all I got was no our policy is different now. No concern no help at all. Just rude uncaring people. Dr. Stroud I will miss you. You are awesome. But I've already found a new vet who cares and the whole team there is just the best and the prices are so reasonable. I have been using them for three years but had the most unprofessional experience today. The staff had me intentionally wait over four hours to see a vet while my dog was in pain. Feeling heartbroken and beyond disappointed with the staff. They are not providing the same level of service I have enjoyed in the past. The vets are competent and have treated my dog well, but the staff was ridiculous and disrespectful. My best advice is to go to a different vet if possible. read more

Friendly staff but appointment & check-in system is horrible & ineffective. There doesn't seem to be any concern for keeping appointment times. And this has nothing to do with COVID-19. They group book & don't appear to honor those who have made specific time appointments. Waited 45 min past scheduled appointment just to get into building. Mt Shitzu spent 2 or 3 months miserable because he was so itchy. Prior vet obviously wasn't interested. Now vet- Wahalla 1 visit, a few prebiotic s, and hea doing great. read more

This was the worst place I have ever had my dogs boarded at. My two dogs were there for 1 week and they came back covered in pee and dehydrated. Our dogs stunk so bad imagine as if you were living in a sewer. I do not recommend this place at. Go to Seneca not Walhalla. read more

Unfortunately this clinic did not work for us. We brought our maltipoo in because when we woke up one morning our 4-yr old pup was unable to get up on his own. We immediately brought him to the Walhalla vet clinic (of course it was Saturday) and were seen by Dr. Stroud. Our 4 year old pup could not stand by himself and we were very concerned. Dr. Stroud told us he had xrayed our dog and "thought there might be something there" and could show us the x-ray if we liked....which he never did.........He then sent us home with some drugs and told us to come back is 2 weeks if we thought it was necessary....we were then dismissed. Our bill was high ($165) and we were very concerned as our dog was still "paralazyed" and still had not pottyed ...... the next morning (now a full day after seeing the local vet) we felt so uneasy that we took him to the emergency vet (Magnolia) in the neighboring town (Anderson).......he took one look at our pup and called ahead to Greenville on our behalf - we were told to take our pup to the emergency vet in Greenville immediately, which we did. He was operated on later that day.....Thank goodness we did, as we now (1+weeks later) have our dog back & he is well on his way to recovery from a ruptured disk....needless to say I definitely would not recommend the Walhalla vet). I am glad that i only lost some money!! read more
