I wish I could give negative stars. I had my 2002 Chevy Camaro fixed here 8 years ago. When I…read moreoriginally picked up the car one month after they originally started repairs, I immediately noticed that some of the door trim pieces were cracked as if they had been pulled away from the body at a 90° to remove them. I pointed it out and they ordered replacements, no problem. I was a happy customer. Now, 8 years later, I've moved to Arizona and car starts overheating. Assuming this has something to do with the extreme heat and needing a different thermostat, I replace that. The problem persists so I take it to a shop. They were able to find the issue which was caused from shoddy repair work. Apparently, over the last 8 years, my wiring harness has been rubbing on part of my frame because it wasn't routed correctly after the repair, severing the wires to one of the cooling fans. Mind you, the repair shop I took it to called ME to ask if the vehicle had be ever been in an accident. So I call Parson's -mostly because the accident wasnt my fault and being 8 years ago I have literally no idea which insurance company the repairs were handled through. To say the representative on the phone was unhelpful would be an understatement. I was actually told "Well, you should have come to us long before 8 years after the repair." ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME? The issue was just brought to my attention and had I stayed in Rockford forever, I probably would have never noticed until a wire to something more serious was severed. I'm not in the business of repairing cars after accidents YOU are. And it's YOUR job to make sure you have competent people doing it, similarly to how it's my responsibility to make sure I'm competent at MY job. Which has NOTHING to do with automotive repair. Maybe, if you'd have fixed the car correctly E I G H T Y E A R S A G O we wouldn't be having this conversation and you wouldn't be getting a bad review. On top of this, I originally put this review on Facebook and one of their sales people, Bill Foley, reacted with a "wow" reaction, then blocked me from their page. KEEP IT CLASSY, PARSON'S.

Possibly you've rear-ended a police car on an icy day. After a giant snow fall you tried backing out of your driveway onto a snow covered street only to back into a parked car. I'm not saying we've done any (all) of these things, but I'm just saying in case this happens, where do you take your vehicle to get it repaired? Auto Rehab Crash 1 has done a great job on the three vehicles I've taken to them. You can't see any of the damage that was done when they are finished. Every time I've called, they have been polite and courteous. They have worked with my schedule. If I have to leave a message they respond quickly. The best part is that they do back their work too. Two days before Christmas '10, I backed into a neighbor's car. My Silverado's bumper and bed was damaged. I scheduled the repairs at Crash 1 and with in a couple of days of dropping it off, my truck was restored to like new condition. You couldn't see any damage at all. Flash forward to a couple of weeks ago. The pad on the bumper started coming off, I took it back to them and with out any questions or excuses they made the arrangements to fix it with no additional charge to me. I dropped it off this morning at 8:00 AM and was able to pick it up at lunch time. Everything looked good. They told me that if the same thing should happen again, bring it back and they will replace the entire bumper. I know some people will think "They should have fixed it right the first time." I think they did, I believe that the pad they used came off the old bumper per the insurance company and it had been damaged in a way that neither saw until the temperatures were in the upper 90s and it warped. Things happen, and they took care of it. Whether it was their mistake or uncontrollable circumstances, they made it right.

The car had a sagging headliner that was not disclosed in the ad and so the dealer agreed to replace it under warranty. The stipulation was that I had to take it to a body repair shop in Freeport (we'll call them Gerbil Glass & Collision) and the quote for the repair must be submitted by the end of the initial warranty period (which was end of January). After much hemming and hawing from Gerbil it was now in the middle of January, and they still had not submitted the quote to the warranty company. I called the warranty company voicing my concern with Gerbil and they finally recommended Caliber Collision. Caliber got me in right away and handled everything with the warranty company. They kept me in constant communication with texts, emails, and had a weblink that showed the progress of my car while it was being repaired. They did excellent, quick work and the headliner looks like it came straight from the factory, better even!

That became 2-3 weeks. 5 weeks later, after hearing the same excuse ("we just need to put the front on and align it", for 2 weeks in a row), I finally received it back. That wasn't even the worst part. They were adamant about the amount of work that needed to get done, after first asking for it just to be drivable, (which was 3x more expensive). When asked if it could be less than the estimate, he literally laughed at me. Dude, I've never been in an accident before, I've never needed body work, I should know better than to trust someone who tries to be cute spelling Car and Craft. When calling for an update, they made side comments, "well, I know we couldn't get it started right away" as I was waiting for a denial from my insurance company. Then telling me it will be a couple of thousand dollars more the day we were supposed to pick it up, then backtracking and telling me, oh maybe he is thinking of another car. Save yourself a headache, they are not even BBB accredited.
