They said it would take 3 days and cost close to $1150.00. $400 was to paint the cover. I asked if they had to paint it as I didn't care about the color. They said they had to paint it because it was plastic. A few days before the appointment I called to ask about the length of time it would take thinking that 3 days was a long time. The repairman said it would be 2-3. They had to ensure the color of the car matched the bumper cover. Again, I said that didn't matter to me but he said that is how they do things. He insisted that a 2-3 day estimate was different than a 3 day estimate. When I said 2 is not the same as 3, he told me to go somewhere else.

He's also a Vet. He carefully explained how they chemically strip the car, even the wheels, before applying the ceramic coating. He told me about the whole process ahead of time, and I was surprised by how complex it was to do a first-class job. Ryan had my car for two days, allowing time for the coating to harden. I was expecting great things when I picked up the car. My expectations were too low! The Escalade is gorgeous! The reflection from the ceramic coating is almost blinding. The coating is perfect, and adds brilliance that wasn't there even when I bought the car a month earlier. The entire car, inside and out, and even the engine compartment!, was perfectly detailed. Ryan's detailing of the interior of this massive SUV is the best I've ever seen, including leather treatments on all seven seats. All the glass was also protected, inside and out. After over an additional 11 weeks, finally one of the women that work there took my call, she said that nobody had actually worked on the vehicle, they simply took the front end apart to have a technician look at it but, that would not happen for another week, maybe longer, the owner was on vacation and work could not begin without him because he is the one that decides what needs to be done. Needless to say, I had the vehicle towed to a more reputable repair shop. Ever since Bill retired and left his business to his inept son, the shop is a joke. Even the woman that I spoke with stated that she doesn't understand how the York Auto Body stays in business. Run as far away from this horrible business. Customer service is something that they do not know or understand.

They cited that their shop has been sued multiple times in the past Which makes me wonder what they have done to be sued so many times that they had to create a policy. The gentleman behind the desk and one of the mechanics suggested that I lie in the future about having done any work on my car so they are actually promoting lying and dishonest acts Which further makes me worry about and wonder about their integrity and adds Creedence to the fact that they have been sued multiple times. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else and not doing any business with this place. My father and brother were mechanics and I grew up around a garage and it is worrisome and unethical to turn down work out of fear of being sued again. There are plenty of other garages in the area.
