Service was a bit slow poor girl seemed to have forgotten about us not the best but she was so nice & apologized.. short staff & less bars open made for a wait ... ok not like we were in a rush. Very unhappy with the hotel. This is a ghetto hotel and terrible customer service. Staff is very unfriendly and not accommodating. Couldn't get towels. Floors were dirty. No adjoining rooms when we specifically asked ahead of time for it. There is a club style pool that looked like you would get shot or stabbed if you went there. Multiple people soliciting drugs. First let me say I love the atmosphere of this bar/restaurant! I've been coming to south beach for a long time and I always have to stop here but this time it was way below average. I always get the calamari because it's always on point and I was very disappointed with it! They also give you sweet and sour sauce with it now and I was extremely confused by this?! I also got the Baja shrimp salad and it was just as disappointing as the calamari. It was a great portion but it only came with 4 shrimp, for a basically $20 salad . The Clevelander is a pretty cool bar that really gives you that South Beach vibe. The area of the outdoor bar is unique with fun lighting and that retro font. There are two bars, a pool, and lots of seating. I happened to go on a few days where it was cold- so I really appreciated the heat lamps they had all around. On my first visit, I ordered the frozen pina colada- which was a huge waste of money. There was zero alcohol in it which was so uncool considering it was expensive. It really bummed me out, so I stayed away from their frozen drinks and stuck to the beer specials for the rest of the trip. So how did they still earn 4 stars with me? Their pizza! It was such a awesome surprise and I really can't recommend trying it enough! When I ordered it- I really wasn't expecting something that would delight my taste buds. But by golly was it good! I purposely ate it really slow, just so that I had more time to enjoy it. The pizza was drizzled with a balsamic sauce and it was really out of this world. I'm hankering to find something similar home in NYC now. The servers were generally friendly and they had good music playing. Being so close to the beach is pretty rad too. This place has always been my go to spot especially in Ultra Music Festival week season, they always have awesome atmosphere, great drinks, perfect tunes, just an awesome spot to hang out! They also have really good hookah we enjoy! I recently tried stuffed salmon and we also had calamari and there food is also pretty good! This was the worse service I ever experienced. They had no rooms nor an early check in. Half of the hotel was waiting in the lobby for a room. Never experienced a hotel where there are no rooms available or an early check in. Room service sucks. No one was doing there job. The room smelled like a smoking room it was stuffy and the AC did not work. Had to call the manager to get someone to fix the Ac. The guess next to us was trying to open the side doors that's connected to the room. Yes! There are two doors connected to are room and to two other rooms.smh. Two hrs after I checked in House keeping came in are room no knock and said she was told we need are sheets changed. I yelled for her to get out cause I was in the bed with no clothes on and she continue to argue with me. Horrible! So frustrated. I'm actually here now. I've got seated and ordered food and drinks. Ordered the Bloody Mary, honestly tasted like tomato juice and ice. I placed an order at 12:25 and it's now 1:27 and still no food. If you've ever been to Miami you know that the patio of the Hotel Clevelander is always packed and jumping. I found some tickets on Eventbrite for their pool party so here I am. Because Miami, has just lifted the Quarantine orders everything its distanced socially and the pool isn't open. Honestly, at this point I'm just grateful that they are open and serving drinks! A'marie was our bartender/waitress and she was attractive, fun, & the drinks were absolutely delicious & strong. All of the staff from management to employees were inviting & accommodating. We had a smorgasbord of food. I ordered off the brunch menu and my friend ordered tacos and calamari. The food came out rather quickly it was piping hot and delicious. Although the patio is not as packed as it usually is people are still pouring in all of the staff has on a masks & gloves and they appear to be keeping things nice and clean. You could improve your rude male waiter. We walk in went to bar, about twelve of us. Was celebrating birthday and Thanksgiving. Place was almost empty but music was playing started out okay. Football games was on tv's so while everyone else was at bar me an three others sat at a table. Where all was empty. We sat there for about 15min. Nobody came to table so we ordered with the rest at bar. This rude waiter came over when we got drinks who had been watching us for that long. Said we should have been escorted to table but we have to order from him if we are going to be at table. I politely said we got from bar will get others when we finish these. He kept harassing us. So we ask for manager. One was rude didn't want to hear what was happening just wanted us to leave. The other said we could take the drinks with us. They call the police for know reason which should have locked the waiter up and the rude male manager. Everyone one else was professional like the other staff members and Miami finest. The food was actually better than I expected. ============================= I went to the Clevelander on Friday with my girlfriend and cousin since we were down visiting him for the day. We went to a few places and The Clevelander was one of the more enjoyable places we went to that night. We arrived pretty early since it was our second stop of the night (probably around 8pm). Obviously things were still getting starting but it was still pretty busy when we showed up. There was a very short line to get in and we found a high top table to grab drinks and food right away. We ordered the chicken nachos and chicken tenders to split and for my drink I got the kiwi drink with Grey Goose (I forget the name). Our waitress brought over a mojito but quickly fixed the mistake and brought me the right drink. The chicken tenders never came out and we had to ask for them which were eventually brought out but we had already finished our nachos. I'm not a huge fan of this type of place but I still enjoyed the weather and atmosphere before things got too busy. I don't think I'd go back late at night but would stop by during the day to enjoy the view and people watch. read more

To avoid all the people falling on us, we went inside. * Their menu notes that they sell grilled wings. I was so excited because it was a non-fried option which is better for my weight watchers points. The wings came to me fried. I inquired about this and they mentioned that they fry the wings first then put them on the grill. This is not noted in their menu. I had to return them and order something else. * They did not have enough staff for the crowd there. Naturally some of the staff were frustrated and not as friendly. Our server's interactions with us felt cold. Overall, I am glad that I experienced this landmark. I do not intend on returning solely because this is not my scene. Always a favorite when I'm in the area! The last time I visited was Tuesday, February 5. A friend and I stopped in during happy hour, but the menu was so limited I opted to order off the regular menu. I forgot to take a photo of the happy hour menu but I remember wings weren't included so I ordered those, in addition to a $26 stuffed salmon, mashed potato & green bean entree. I passed on the drinks because the menu listed them as frozen options only, but the waitress reassured me that I could also order certain options on the rocks. My friends split calamari, shrimp tacos & wings & they had no complaints. All in all the food & service was/ is typically great. Just keep in mind it's the heart of south beach so if cozy & quiet is what you're seeking, this ain't it! Do NOT stay at this hotel unless you use cash and like to party all night. We had 6 couples in our group and so far half of us had our credit card used for fraudulent charges. When you decide to get a room here please videotape it going in so that you have account of everything that's in there when we left they actually charge my cousins credit card 200. We never took anything from their mini bar because we bought our own liquor and I believe the hotel just wanted to charge extra on individual cards. This is a cool hangout spot. It has food, hookah and variety of music. It's a fun atmosphere. I would of gave more stars but our experience started off good. We understand during the pandemic we won't get the best of service but our server was pretty cool until we left. We ordered 2 drinks which was $30 each and a hookah which was $60 and an order of fries. Our bill with tip was almost $170 which we was expecting. Anything on South Beach is going to be around that no matter what. Most of the time we had to wave down our waiter but it was cool bc we just chilling. So yelp gives you a coupon for 20% off which we was able to use that. And our waiter gave us I guess he calls it a free hookah refill which we only was able to get like a couple of puffs before it went out again. Francis, the manager, told us specifically she would credit us however when we checked out she was not working in order to give the correct credit she originally told us. The front desk stated they would leave her a message to call us regarding the matter. We call 2-3 times per week and have NOT received one call back from Francis. So on top of the lack of cleanliness of our room and your hotel manager not delivering on her word I would say nothing is priority at your hotel. I would give your hotel a negative rating if it was available. read more
