What a beautiful and delicious find. Not only was the location cute and right by the water, but the food was really good too. The steak fried rice was 10/10. The steak was cooked perfectly and the rice was very flavorful. The mangonero wings were really good, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The garlic Parmesan fries weren't as flavorful as I thought they'd be- the garlic and parsley did stick to the fries which was a bummer and what qas apparently truffle aioli was flavorless. The cocktails were fabulous and heavy on the alcohol so go easy. They have a great 2foe 1 drink menu too with lots of options. It's a great late night meal location and the food didn't taste like it had been sitting under a light or reheated from earlier. Everything was fresh and hot from the kitchen. We got lucky finding a spot out front but I didn't see a whole of parking other than street parking. We're gonna go back on our next visit and try some of the other items on the menu. This spot is not for me. My boyfriend frequents the American Social in Miami and he loves the lively atmosphere. I, however, did not enjoy my experience. To start, the food was not enjoyable. The chips that came with the spinach dip were stale and the dip itself was extremely oily. My Caesar salad was swimming in dressing and practically inedible. The spicy rigatoni was bland and extremely mediocre. The service was decent and I did appreciate the hostess moving my party from a long rectangle table to a circular one. I also think my experience was negatively impacted by the poor weather, as it was storming during our meal. Lastly, they were out of the martini I wanted. I can't see myself going back, especially since there are so many amazing restaurants in the nearby area. read more

I visited American Social in Brickell to celebrate my birthday, and I had such a great time! The restaurant is super cute, spacious, and has plenty of seating both inside and outside. We chose to sit outside by the water, which made the whole brunch experience even better. Watching the boats pass by was worth it. We went for their Sunday boozy brunch and decided on the bottomless mimosas. Let me just say... those mimosas are NOT to be played with . Our server Jordan was amazing. She was serving, bartending, running food, and somehow still managed to provide excellent service. I asked if they had peach juice for the mimosas, and although they didn't, she went above and beyond and mixed something up for us that was so good. I ordered the steak fried rice with sirloin, kimchi rice, chili crisp, and a sunny side up egg. The portion was generous and the flavor was incredible. Easy 10/10. We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip, which was good, just not as memorable as the fried rice. The atmosphere was everything. Great energy, beautiful waterfront views, and a fun brunch crowd. To top it all off, Jordan worked with my friends behind the scenes to surprise me with birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful touch. I came with hundreds of fellow Mets fans for some tailgating before another disastrous baseball game. I grabbed a seat at the bar which is stocked with coat hangers and outlets for device charging. There was a special on several beverages, but I went with the $5 Nutrls, one pineapple and one orange. and maybe a few beers as well. For food, I ordered the loaded guacamole with chopped thick slab bacon, black beans, corn, pico, cotija cheese, lime wedge, and a side of tortilla chips. The ingredients were all layered on top before I mixed everything into the avocado. The flavor was amazing. Each bite of the bacon mixed in was manna from heaven. We showed up around 9pm and were seated outside right away. My friend and I were starving and honestly cared more about eating than the view, so we were happy to take the first two-top available near the hostess stand. We were greeted by Maya, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I ordered the mahi sliders with fried Brussels sprouts, and my friend had the steak melt. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot exactly when we needed it. American Social is one of my go-to spots and the perfect place to sit outside by the water. It definitely gives sports bar vibes, but a classier version. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor area is my favorite, especially when the weather is nice. I usually order the truffle melt sandwich, but this time I tried the steak fried rice and it was amazing. So flavorful and a great switch up. The service overall was great. The only small hiccup was with the coffee. We ordered hot coffee and it was forgotten at first, and when it finally came out it was cold, which was a little disappointing. I ordered the Chicken B.L.A.T. Sandwich without the mustard and for drinks, me and my friend ordered the Guava Glow Mojito as our cocktail. The Chicken B.L.A.T. Sandwich was tasty, and it came with SO many fries! For the price, it wasn't bad at all. My only critique was the bacon was listed as jalapeño bacon, but it just tasted like regular bacon. The drink was unfortunately the disappointment of the night. It did not taste like guava at all or a mojito, and was also pretty strong. A girlfriend and I had a great night stopping by American Social for some happy hour cocktails after deciding to spend the night in Brickell this evening. The evening was clear, and a great time was had. Our server was a blonde woman that was super knowledgeable about drinks when we questioned and the restaurant mission and culture. SUCH A COOL SPOT! My best friend got married (AHHHHH!) a few weeks ago and she had her rehearsal dinner here. After the dinner, we hung out and enjoyed the fully stocked bar. We stopped by American Social on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. They were still serving their brunch menu, which was completely different from the dinner menu. We sat outside with a nice view of the Miami River and all the boats passing by. They have fans to help with the heat, but there's only so much you can do against a Miami summer day. We started with the French Toast Sticks and Loaded Guac, then ordered the Smashburger, Black Pepper Shrimp & "Not Grits," the Breakfast Plate, and the Steak Fried Rice. The food was good across the board, and the atmosphere was super chill, perfect for catching up with friends. One thing that really stood out was the service. We noticed a couple of Jim Beam hats on display and asked if they were for sale. Our server went to check, and a few minutes later came back with both hats and gave them to us. I ordered the blackened shrimp salad; unfortunately, the salad was overdressed and the shrimp leaned overly salty. The chicken and waffles also fell short, as the dish became soggy due to the sauce being placed underneath. The same issue applied to the French toast. For these items, I would recommend requesting the sauce on the side. On a more positive note, the deviled eggs were alright, and while I've had better biscuits elsewhere, the chicken appetizer with biscuits was easily the standout dish of the meal. Overall, the drinks are the strongest offering here and seem to be the main reason to visit including the fact that it's right along waterway. I only share one picture due to the fact that everything else was disappointing. The service was fine, but the hostess gave our reservation away, so watch out for that! read more

We made a late reservation for brunch and despite choosing standard indoor seating on OpenTable we were sat at a high top which was a bit cramped for my party. We ordered the espresso martini tree which was SO strong and very good. Everyone loved what they ordered and the portions were so generous. The food came out very quickly and our waitress was awesome! This experience will make me consider AmSo again for future brunch endeavors. read more

Unfortunately on my fourth visit here I got surprised by the price of a single Basil Hayden dose! $17.50 it's way over priced. I came here before three times and never complained about the prices . I highly recommend to have a menu with doses prices. If the bottle price is $30 the dose cannot cost half price. I like the place, the environment and staff but tonight I felt robbed. 10 days before our desired dinner reservation, I reached out on their website for group dining (11 people). I emailed back and forth with their contact person and since soccer season is roaring, I even stated that we could set up private dining if preferred. The contact person ghosted me last week, but since it was July 1 - 3, I figured she was out. I emailed her twice to 100% confirm. I wasn't worried because their portal had me on there... date time and 11 participants. I was not aware that I needed to receive an email confirmation and that their contact person did not follow through even though I gave her my "go ahead". Bottom line: We arrived on a rented yacht Monday, July 6 at 8:00pm for dinner and were told that we did not have reservations and that my portal information meant nothing. The two gentlemen at the dock were very respectful. BUT: They did not try to accommodate us, we were told the Manager was too "busy" to talk to us and we were were not allowed to disembark there because we were not dining at their restaurant. We had to head back to the marina and by that time everyone went home without eating. Ending of the night ruined. Large groups beware. I will be warning all of my sister companies (We work for one of the branches of the largest luxury goods company in the world). read more

The food was generally okay, I tried their wings, sliders and tuna tartare nachos but would only recommend the tuna tartare nachos. Came back to try the food here and was unfortunately disappointed - had the crispy truffle shroom burger and it was very dry. It looked good, topped with crispy leeks, mushrooms, onions and boursin, the flavor from the toppings was there, but both patties were so well done and dry, I only ate half of it. Fries were good - hot, crispy, seasoned well. Service was friendly, but their pour for the beer I got on draft was sloppy - glass wasn't filled and the top 3 inches was foam. I came mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it was dead, they simply just didn't take the extra 20 seconds to dump the foam and repour. UPDATE: Management reached out directly and shared this feedback with their team at this Brickell location, which I really appreciate. I have been now a couple times and overall have been satisfied with my visits. It's a great place for a large group with plentiful seating inside or outside for a nighttime vibe by the river. The service at the bar is incredibly attentive despite how busy it can be. You can rely on the DJ to set a great mood. The food was superb, with fresh ingredients and fast service. The brisket sandwich is more like a sweet pulled pork sandwich. As an Alabama native I was a bit thrown off but it was very sweet. Overall tasty. The guava pork belly tacos were stellar. Next time I would recommend the tortillas not be toasted as it threw off the texture a bit, but the meat was uniquely seasoned. I enjoyed the cocktails. The manager recommended the lavender lemon vodka cocktail which was a little too sweet but tasty nonetheless. Come here for a great dinner and starter for large group setting. read more

American Social just dropped a brand new brunch and cocktail menu and spoiler alert, it's pretty fire. Their spritzy spring cocktails are as pretty as they are delicious. Their ahi tuna avocado toast is probably the only avocado toast that I'll accept moving forward. Did you see the amount of fish on it? They have many of your classic breakfast items. Plus a brand new option where they let you choose two things from their menu from their dips and dippers it's perfect for me when I can't just pick one thing. The sausage egg and cheese biscuit benny was phenomenal. I mean combining biscuits and eggs benny, who could say no to that. Oh and yes, they even have some cocktails with boba on them. Amso has been a staple for many miami people for years. It's the place where you can people watch, have fun with friends, and now do brunch. read more

Sitting on the intracoastal waterway, they have an amazing patio setup with a full bar. Valet parking was $18/ 4 hours which is steep for a sports bar. It was packed and steady for the game. I joined some friends for Sunday football and endless mimosas. I arrived at 1:30 and was greeted at 2. We had a high top with a great view of both the game and the water. I ordered the endless mimosas knowing I would have atleast 2, which would've still been less expensive than me ordering 2 regular. The server informed me I only had an hour (mind you I was seated for 30 min already) to which I acknowledged but didn't know it was based on her wait time. My friend had been waiting awhile and asked the server on her next round if she could leave a carafe to which she denied then proceeded to say we had to wait cause she had other tables. They offer buckets of beers but not carafes of premixed mimosa (both being shared between 2 people) which was odd as far as ABV is concerned. A manager came and backed her up, and then proceeded to make sure our glasses were refilled for the next hour. I appreciate the conflict resolution and by the end of it there was less tension with our server so thank you. I ordered buffalo chicken fries to snack on. They taste how they sound but still good. The food is ok and yummy but pretty oily. I got the wagyu truffle melt with ranch potato wedges and spinach and artichoke dip. The food tastes good on first bite when I'm hungry but it gets too greasy to finish in one sitting. The wagyu melt tasted heavenly when I reheated it the next morning. Usually I don't like potato wedges if they aren't crispy enough, but their wedges were delicious and crispy! The spinach and artichoke was also good but nothing super special. I really like the convenient location in Brickell by the river so it's not too far from downtown. There is also pretty riverside views. I do wish they refilled my water more often or left the big water bottle at the table, but I also understand it gets pretty busy. The employees have always been friendly. read more
