After a rough start our Wunderbar lunch turned out Wunderfully. They open at 11 we arrived @11:10 Server was M.I.A. but the bartender, William, after 4 inquiries and 20 minutes recovered well. Service from that point was prompt, consistent and friendly. We had fried chick peas (so nice we ordered it twice), jerk tacos and eden bar a la mode. All were delicious and generous. I order their mojito reinterpretation which substitutes prosecco for club soda and St Germain for sugar. Nice! I probably should deduct a star for the overall experience due poor start, but William was just so excellent. TREAT YOURSELF. read more

A nicely decorated bar however smaller than even the pictures represent. I think this is a good hotel bar though I'm not sure I go out of my way unless I was local. Very good rum selection if that is something you're looking for. Happy hour goes until 7 PM with bites including tacos, sliders and bang bang shrimp for five dollars. read more

Super chill place for a drink and a snack poolside. This is a small boutique hotel with a lot of charm. We had a cabana by the pool which was beautiful and comfortable. Very cute bar inside Circa 39 Hotel..I visited for the first time this week for their rum and relaxation event and my friend and I had a great time. The bar inside is well stocked , mixologist Leo has made some great new concoctions including one that has peruvian pisco on it...so u know I'm in! During this event we tried the vanilla sky drink...very yummy and fresh, great for this time of year. I've been told they will be hosting more events like this one in the future so I'm def in. The courtyard was reserved for this event and it was nicely decorated with lanterns, board games, free appetizers, free drinks and live music...overall it was a great evening. read more

My girlfriend and I visited WunderBar twice during our weekend trip to Miami. Juanita, the manager at the bar, was amazing. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about cocktail history and puts that knowledge toward creating excellent, original drinks. It's important to understand something about WunderBar - this is not a place to go for blaring music and a party scene. Those place are everywhere further down south in Miami Beach. What WunderBar is is a craft cocktail bar with extreme attention to detail and originality. Bars like this are aplenty in New York City (where we visited from), but are extremely rare in Miami Beach. When you ask for a bar like this, most people direct you to Broken Shaker. Broken Shaker is indeed great as well, and it even offers a great party atmosphere (being located in a hostel and all). However, when it comes to how good the drinks are, WunderBar is second to none. My favorite drink on their menu (we tried probably 80% of the drinks on the menu) is the Indian Summer Julep, an original (of course) creation by Juanita. Even the Indian Spiced Honey that goes into the drink is her own recipe. The rye, the curry, and the mint go perfectly together. I could drink that one for days. Go - give this place a shot. Very cute set-up and good service. More of a "waiting for my spouse to finish getting ready" bar than a place to hang with friends. The beer selection is minimal and unique. If you are finicky about your beer this may not be the place for you since there are few options, most of them one of a kind beers. I opted to try some of the special sangria which tasted pure citrus with a strong alcohol taste. We ordered apps during Happy Hour. Again the selection is minimal and unique. Don't expect your typical app choices and the pricing was high for what was served. One small soft taco was $5. Tough to share this app. But the wings were good:) I think the WunderBar had good service but overall was not the right fit for us. read more

I went to visit Miami about a month ago, and I still can't stop thinking about the Mexican Cobb salad I had at WunderBar. It was amazing, so I had to leave a review. On top of that unforgettable salad, the customer service was incredible. The woman at the bar, Deanna I think, was so helpful with directions and suggestions on what to do each day that we were there. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Was thinking I would eat on the patio, but with the construction noise going on outside (building across the street is being renovated) I landed at the bar. Our mixologist Manuel was very kind, speedy, and made awesome drinks! My boyfriend and I went for a happy hour menu. We ordered the Oriental Crush and Legacy cocktails; both drinks were delicious. Manuel continued to keep up with us. Making sure if we needed to order more drinks or food. Only complaint is their happy hour food menu isn't really a happy hour. It's half off for a half order. So instead of 6 wings for $10 it is 3 wings for $5, so in reality it isn't a happy hour menu at all; although, the drinks and kind staff made it worth it!! read more

They have a great happy hour with food and drinks. We sat outside by the pool in a cabana after a long day of sightseeing.

First off: the ambiance. I could hang out in Wunderbar and the accompanying lobby of Circa 39 (and its poolside patio) all day long. The bartender, Manuel, was very friendly and offered me not only tips re: the cocktail menu, but also on options for things to do for a night out in Miami Beach, which I very much appreciated on my first day in Miami. I opted to stay on the rum menu, opting first for the Vanilla Sky, which was lovely and refreshing. Next, on recommendation from Manuel, I ordered the Wunderbar version of the mojito (whose name escapes me), which was phenomenal. The mint didn't overpower the drink, instead balancing perfectly with the yuzu juice (!) and elderflower liqueur (!!). Overall, imaginitive cocktails and excellent service in North Beach. Nice little convenient bar in the Circa 39 hotel. The bartenders were good but drinks were kinda pricy about $8.65 for a beer with the service charge applied but hey this is South Beach so I expected it. I tried the Funky Buddha beer which is a local brand and it is amazing. From what I see this bar is mainly a rum bar not too many beers to select from but a plethora of rum as well as other spirits. Overall nice set up a little small but hey it's a bar in a small boutique hotel. read more

Beer list is short, the service slow, and they don't tell you that the happy hour is only applicable in at the bar not out on the patio where it's advertised. When asked they said it's because it's Jules kitchen out on the patio and the happy hour does not apply. And no help from wait staff to try to make this better or correct it.
