This review is from a few occasions that we stopped in all together. The first experience was way better than the others. First off, I have to saw I wanted to come here because I am a huge Dan Marino and Miami Dolphins fan. It got put on my bucket list when researching bars to watch the Miami game at in South Beach. We stopped in on Friday and were the only people in the bar. Kind of shocking on how dead it was, but it helped with getting good service. Our bartender was super sweet and chatty. She made us some delicious cocktails that are Miami priced so we only had 1. She chatted with us about the bar's Halloween theme and how the weekend was planned out. The decor is so much fun here. That is what ultimately got me to come by. Love all of the signage and fun Miami Dolphins stuff on the walls. The 2nd time we tried to stop but the line outside was insane. As I have gotten older the more and more, I don't wait in lines to get in to places. So, we left. The 3rd time the line was a bit long out front but remembered the bartender from the first night mentioned a side entrance. We found that, checked in with the bouncer and sat at the bar. We sat for a few minutes before I stepped away to use the restroom. The restroom is located in a whole different part of the building. When I got back, my husband was still sitting at the bar with zero service from the bartender. Btw, there were about 8-10 people inside, so not crazy busy or anything. Everyone else was outside with the outside bar. We waiting a few more minutes without even a hey, I'll be right with you before we just got up and left. This place has been around for a while. Stopped in here to do the tourist thing as I was with a visiting friend. Drinks are a bit costly and includes service charge, tax, and city fees, but this is to be expected as it's south beach. It was midday and the sun was out. Clevelander is as close to Cheer's as Ocean Drive gets! Anything from watching NBA and NFL games, I've been here for regular weekend bites and most recently for Kristina Sky's "United We Groove" mix set for Miami Music Week. Held at their C-Level Rooftop, her sunset mix set is as epic a rave site as you can get. I would dare say it was even better than Paul Oakenfold at the Great Wall of China for "Hypnotized". It's not white table cloth dining, but I've always gotten solid service. Mojito pours are pretty good for social lubrication, especially downstairs. Fries are always hot, and bar staples (spicy wings dripping in sauce, burgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches) are delicious. At least for the more hectic Miami Music Week the rooftop menu was limited to certain cocktails, but my vodka and pineapple was buzzworthy and my chicken wings were hot and well-flavored. There are plenty of TVs at the downstairs bar, to the point you feel like a sports-obsessed mad scientist, bantering with the bartenders and the other fans sitting around you. Acoustics were great during the show, and that sunset view was awesome. The only thing that would make it better was for Music Week to coincide with full moon :) They do charge a cover charge for fights or big sporting events and have an automatic tip but based on my last experiences it has been worth it! My bachelorette party stayed at the Clevelander! It was a great party on the weekends. Good food, drinks, DJ, entertainment, and staff. Michelle was particularly helpful and gave great customer service. There was an error on my folios for the 3 rooms and she promptly corrected it. She was also responsive to all of our requests. We are glad we didn't book the cabana by the pool online because it was free when we got there. A pro and con is the party goes all night but this means the music goes late into the night so you hear it in your hotel room, this was only on the weekend. read more

The Clevelander isn't really a spot you go to to end the night; it's more of a stop on the path to your final destination. The drinks here are perfect for large parties, whether it be for a party of 10 or 1. The drinks come in a variety of sizes (regular, 45 oz, pitcher), and they don't skimp on the alcohol! I've never been to the Clevelander at night, but from the many times I've visited, I've always had a good time. The Clevelander is in a prime location on South Beach and though they have a pool, I wouldn't recommend going in it... The MC is always interactive and gets the crowd going with free drinks and games. read more

So far so good... some things to be aware of for spring break youths: parking is scarce, overnight valet is $49+ tax for one night until 12pm the following day, normal booking fees vary however, a $100 incidentals fee is needed on site per room. Valet fee comes out of this, as well as the necessary $34 resort fee. Keep in mind: this is an adults only hotel, guests must be over 21! I would give this place 1 star because its location is undeniably awesome . However I'm mad at my own self because I didn't have much time to research and look into hotels. So I went with this one because of its location and per the few pictures advertised it appeared to be bright and clean. It was nothing and I mean nothing as advertised . It was rusty (literally) and unkept. The bathroom flooded twice and I was there for only one night. And by flooded I mean from the bathroom seeping out into the bedroom and making it worse the place was literally a square... small!!! Like if I get off the bed my foot is at the bathroom . Way too small and close quarters for two people who are not a couple. I will say maintenance arrived very promptly but the issue was bigger than them . Whatever they attempted to do didn't work because the bathroom flooded again the next morning when I showered prior to checking out . Way too much Drama for one night. I should have known nothing good would come out of this place . The entire please is dusty. Beginning at the lobby, the hallway, the room, the rooftop, the pool which has a "pool closed"sign on it and not one soul in the pool the 3 times I went near it . But the front desk the morning of check out claim the pool was never closed because they throw pool parties nightly . How misleading is that. A pool closed sign and no pool party . And if everything wasn't already frustrating enough the TV inside of the room was what appeared to be no more than 16 inches. The place is a dump. And must I also add it wasn't even super cheap to raise any alarm of being a dump it was close to $200 just for a night; So I still don't understand why was it so bad. This should be illegal . It wasn't even a night where there was anything special going on in Miami where hotels tend to up the price. In all my years of traveling, dining and adventures I have NEVER written a review whether good or bad. Don't do it !!! Or do! Book here if you want you'll just be disappointed; unless you are one of those people who aren't big on cleanliness and comfortability. Take Care ! read more

Employee that works at the Clevelander, hit my dad's car with his E-Bike broke his taillight and bumper and fled the scene. Happened 5/13/2025 around 6:40pm. Same employee has a video from another review on google of an of the way he acts and talks. Bad representation for this company. If he was still there when the police arrived he would have been arrested as he was definitely under the influence running a red light and caused 2,000 worth of damages to the vehicle. Jehvorn checked us in at the Clevelander. He was friendly and helpful. When we got to the room, it was tiny. It reminded me of a dorm room. We had complimentary drinks from the front desk and there was nowhere to put it down when we got in the room. There was a tiny nightstand, but there was little space on it as the telephone occupied it. We eventually found room on the windowsill to stash our belongings. The view from our room was nice. We saw the beach and Ocean Drive. The location was perfect because we just walked pretty much everywhere the whole time. The bad part is finding parking. I don't even remember where we parked, but finding a place then hauling all our luggage was a pain especially in the heat. read more

We love the Clevlender both during the day and night. We've only gotten drinks here and wish it was a little less expensive as our drinks were $20+. This last time Jon was our server and he was fun, silly and attentive for us while also giving us the fun space we needed to enjoy the music and conversation. I came here on a random summer Friday for a solo lunch. I didn't plan on stopping here but the DJ was playing all the right songs and I couldn't help but to walk in. It's pricey, but hey, it's South Beach - I honestly didn't expect anything less. For 1 drink and 1 burger (which were both delicious) I paid $55. The bartender was amazing and even remade my drink at no charge when I accidentally spilled it on myself. DJ was amazing the whole time - playing back to back hits. The Clevlander denied me access to the restaurant with my service dog for not having a "ID" for my dog. The ada law states: "No, businesses are not allowed to ask for documentation that a dog is a service animal. The American Disability Act (ADA) prohibits businesses from discriminating against people with disabilities, and requires them to allow service animals in areas where customers are permitted" This is not only illegal, but it is also blatant discrimination. The "IDs" they are asking for are fake scams that are sold online. Security guards were extremely disrespectful regarding this. They removed me from the establishment. I contacted the department of disabilities rights for Florida and hope that moving forward this establishment is able to rectify this. read more

The Clevelander Bar is located on Ocean Dr & 10th St. The music is awesome here and if you are with the right crowd, you'll have a blast at this Outside Bar. It has a great atmosphere and multiple bar areas. I did notice though that cocktails have very little alcohol...I ordered a "Mega Mojito" and was nervous to drink the entire cocktail by myself but it really felt like a virgin Mojito, I didn't mind much as we were just bar hopping. No worries I moved to the other bar and was greeted and served immediately by Ashley. There was a small pool available to use while drinking and dining. As a 29 year old visiting Clevelander after SO many years, I do not recommend. Don't get me wrong - the vibe was nice as was the music, and if you're too tipsy or drunk, you probably won't even notice the cons of this place. But, if you're not, I promise you that you will notice the cons. First off, our waitress was nice & amicable, but the way she took our order and the way she brought our things to us, it was as if she absolutely hated her job or was also tipsy while working. My hubby and I had ordered a mango mojito (the large kind), and it was literally filled with 90% ice. What is the point of spending $40 on a "large" mojito for $40??? I would rather pay $10 for a small and get 4 mojitos for my money's worth. We also got fries, but they were basic and expensive for no reason. And yes, I know that South Beach is overpriced. However, I would rather spend this type of money at Nikki Beach than Cleavelander. The crowd was younger, most probably in their early or mid 20s, except for the old couple sitting next to us that were in their 70s. All in all, a good reality check for me as I continue to age. It's just trash The drinks are watered down, even the liquor in the bottles. They're overpriced Af. They automatically include their gratuity but the servers will urge you to tip more because they "only get 10% of the 21%" .. if you're doing your job I'm going to tip accordingly The nachos were cold and the chicken tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. The nacho cheese was cold. The chili was really good, hence why there's no photo of the chili left lol. It is a little spicy The hookah was trash, and they did not come check on it at all. Not worth $80, bring a vape The shrimp tacos are just bang bang shrimp in a taco, but they were decent We really only came here to watch the patriots game. They have flags of each team on the tvs so you know where to sit to enjoy your game. Definitely one of the liveliest and prettiest places along the beautiful Ocean Drive strip in South Beach Miami, and an awesome place to party. You'll often find a bunch of hot girls and a bunch of tourists and everything you could possibly want from South Beach. Sadly, Ocean Drive has been reduced to a shadow of what it once was, but this place is an exception, and is as lively in front as it is gorgeous and spectacularly art-deco. read more

It's rare that I encounter a restaurant where all of the food was bad. I really wanted to like everything. The food was flavorful but none of the flavors were good. The stuffed salmon was weird and pickle tasting. I didn't taste any seafood, including the salmon. The mashed potatoes tasted overly chivey while simultaneously bland The oyster sandwich tasted like sewage and the bread used for the sandwich was a really questionable choice. The truffle fries would be good if more than 2 of the fries had Parmesan on it. The steak was juicy but bland. The calamari was bland The wings were bland. I'm getting upset just thinking about it. The chicken tenders were ok. I gave them an extra star because the drinks are pretty good, albeit overpriced. Paid 15 dollars for a non alcoholic slushy drink. MUST READ TO THE END (roaches and room problems below) FIRST, we booked months in advance kindly requesting rooms on the same floor for a bachelorette party. They completely disregarded this and decided to completely separate us by placing one room on the 2nd floor and the other room on the 5th. We waited HOURS for the second room to be ready. SECOND, we decide to take showers and the entire shower filled with brown water. It flooded the ENTIRE room. We were slipping and sliding all over the place. Of course the front desk was conveniently "off the hook" and we had to go all the way down to inform them that our room was flooded. THIRD, the man they send to fix the shower had no uniform to identify that he was a member of the hotel staff and therefore we were very skeptical on letting him into our room being 4 women. He came with a plunger to fix and the plunging leaked out black scum which was left behind for US to clean. FOURTH, the next night they turned off the hot water heater in the hotel, cold showers were our only option for the entire day. FINALLY, we were completely DISGUSTED to find SEVERAL dead and alive cockroaches in our room. They tried to make up for it with a couple free drinks and a waved resort fee. I will NEVER step foot in this place again. I am completely grossed out that a place like this could even be allowed to stay open. OTHER THINGS TO KNOW- room keys never work, the elevator takes FOREVER, the AC isn't ever cold enough in the rooms, rooms have a "wet" feel, slow service for towels/ice, etc. read more

Place is probably one of the better bars on the Miami Beach Ocean Blvd strip. Came here to get a taste of Ocean Blvd as it has been a while, and still the same crowds as before. When we walked up security was strict on having mask on prior to entering, but after you are inside it's as you please. Hostess was able to get us a good table with views of the center bar and dj that was cool, and to the side of us Ocean so we had a great view. Ordered a few beers and drinks, waitress was always on it and helpful, and the djs music wasn't bad. Place also has a dance area and pool for those who really want to get down nd party too.
