I did not read any of the reviews, and had no expectations walking in. This was simply a plan based on name only. Taking a not so gentle Ben, to Gentle Ben's. And we had a great time! We met Katy who runs the restaurant side of the business. She made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening and answered all of our questions about the menu. She had excellent suggestions and gave us a good rundown of the business. Because we came a little bit later on a Saturday, it was pretty hopping and we didn't get in for a tour this time. This place is hidden out behind some other warehouse looking buildings, but there is nothing.else out there, so you should find it easy enough. We started with a flight Vodka-Gin-Smooth Bourbon-Cask-strength Bourbon. I have never had a rainbow flight. It's always been all of one type of liquor so this was interesting. Very good though! The vodka was vodka, if you're into it you'll enjoy it. The gin was a citrusy forward delight. The bourbons were both very good, though the cast strength will leave you with some warmth in your chest. All of their cocktails were good that we tried,, and we did get to try at least half of their menu. The Blaxican food truck was out there too, and they currently operate exclusively from Gentle Ben's, they were in Georgia, and have since moved their business here after the previous owner retired. Keyna is running it now, and she was a delight! Highly recommend their food, and you can catch my review on their page. Overall really enjoyed this distillery! Staff was great! The place has a very comfortable and southern country ambience to it. Service was fantastic. Plenty of parking. And they do have outdoor seating if you happen to be out in nice weather. It's out there, but it is entirely worth the trip!!
