They were too cheap to mail a check with tracking and delayed the transfer several more weeks to get me to pay for postage. All her other investments were immediately and kindly forwarded without any hassle. GJFCU just demanded I pay off her Visa or they wouldn't release my inheritance. The fact that there were multiple beneficiaries on several accounts made no difference. After paying the debt, no communication followed to confirm it was closed and paid off. As of June, I am still waiting for closure of a savings account, transfer of funds, and communication from the bank officer. My sister never intended her gift to be such a frustrating and intimidating experience. ​

I'm making this on my Yelp account as well to spread awareness of what she and her company had to go through at this bank. There was an issue where scammers impersonated the bank over the phone, and while that part wasn't the bank's direct fault, what happened next was extremely concerning. Once they gained access to her work account, over $12,000 was withdrawn from said account without any alerts, flags, or security warnings from the system. For a financial institution handling large accounts, the lack of fraud detection and response was shocking. There seemed to be no safeguards in place to catch unusual activity or prevent such a large unauthorized withdrawal from going through. During this, customer service seemed lacking and dismissive, brushing off concerns. She told me that they had barely any sense of any ownership or ugenency towards the massive loss. She is currently working with another company and taking legal action, as this has also happened to others in similar situations. Overall, she would not recommend this bank for large business or high-value accounts. Security and monitoring need significant improvement, and trust in their systems has been completely lost.
