The staff is great and we'll continue to do business with Bellco in Grand Junction....but I have to say: ...What annoys me about this bank is that the right most drive-through ATM shares the line with the drive-through teller service, so it seems like every time I try to make a quick ATM stop, someone is blocking the ATM as they're waiting on the teller service. It would be great if the ATM had its own drive-through lane so people who want quick ATM $ can get it without waiting for someone who isn't using it. read more

Best credit union and Grand Junction in my opinion. I've been due to other ones that I had accounts in and this one is by far the best.

Avoid Bellco at all costs. They pulled some serious shady crap with our loan. For the covid deferment they opened ANOTHER ACCOUNT for the accrued interest. We only had info for a SINGLE payment, so when I found out that when I was late they were hitting BOTH accounts with a late fee?!!? When we sent extra money they didn't apply it to the late fee, you have to CALL and make a separate payment. OK, how much? I talked to FIVE PEOPLE before I got an answer because it is not on your statements, it's not online. What IS online is a confusing mess. You are shown THREE different payment amounts! When we went to pay off the loan I sent in the statement. Our loan was delay for a week because Bellco denied the payment because it was short. They were demanding all late fees be paid as well. THEN PUT THEM ON THE STATEMENT!!!! I will NEVER do business with Bellco again. They are SO shady and no one has a clue what the hell is going on! I've got to be honest...the other reviews of this Bellco are WAY off the mark. I have been a member of Bellco for almost eight years now. During that time, I have not had one single problem with them. I switched from one of GJ's 'too big to fail' banks, and I have never looked back. The customer service is outstanding. Every time I have had to visit the branch, I have felt completely welcome. The staff all have pleasant attitudes. I always get the service I need, quickly. One of the banker associates, Marta, recognizes me immediately and acknowledges me if she is working that day. Good luck getting that treatment at any other bank, unless you are very well off. I have refinanced a car loan here, and was treated to a lower interest rate and great service. Last year, I financed another vehicle through Bellco, and that process was also smooth as silk. Their checking accounts are free of crappy fees that a lot of other banks try to charge. Their online portal and online bill pay are both useful and intuitive. If Bellco continues to provide me with an equitable amount of excellent customer service into the future, as they have up until now, I will be happy to remain a customer of theirs for a LONG time. It also helps that they are based in Colorado. I love supporting Colorado businesses! read more

I have been a Bellco business and personal customer since the day they opened the Grand Junction Branch downtown. Prior to using Bellco, I was with Wells and the difference is astounding. I make deposits around 3x per week and every employee knows me, greets me by name and I don't have to fill out deposit slips - I just stamp the checks, drop them in the drive thru, and wave. They also have a vehicle loan for me and working with Marta has been a great experience. I do agree that if you have to call Denver's customer service, it's more like dealing with Wells again, so I avoid that and over the years I've only had to call them 3 or 4 times with online banking password resets or things like that. My husband and I wanted to switch to a local credit union. He went and opened up an account and was going to add me onto the account when I was able to get down there in person. I fill out the application and it was denied, even though I have good credit. I had one thing on my credit that was a collection for almost a grand. They denied my application based on this and said they would not approve my application until that was taken care of. I have NEVER had issues getting a credit union account, even with my previous bad credit. They didn't take into account that I was disputing the collection item and that all of my recent (within the past 5 years) payments have been on time. I'm ticked off because now we have an account that I have no power to use. I should have read reviews before even applying. I'm going to try to appeal this denial, but I probably will lose. Some one paid me with their check from Bellco. I tried several times to call Bellco and confirm that I could cash it without cost, since I don't have an account there. No one answers the phone and there is no other way to contact them. Such a large outfit does not answer the phone is very disturbing and shameful. Do not bank with them. read more

WORST experience ever. We have had a bellco accounts for over 15 years. They used to be good. Have a current auto loan with them. They didn't send in title to put their name on as lien holder. Car was then totaled. Took six weeks to get title then they sent wrong paperwork. Requested a letter of guarantee and it was never produced. Had to call SEVERAL times to get anything done. Bellco has grossly mishandled a deposit in excess of $10K that was typical for my account. What followed was a litany of missteps, incompetence--and worst of all--bureaucratic indifference that lasted nearly a month. Bellco has never owned up to the mishandling of my deposit and never followed up with me despite promises to do so. If you're a business owner be careful and don't fall for "better service" myth at Bellco. You won't be even able to call your local branch, and the centralized phone support is less than professional; just annoyed people reading scripts. Look elsewhere if you want competent and professional service. read more

I was always running into Bellco employees at community events. I really enjoyed visiting with the reps and respected that they were invested and involed in our community. I decided to give them a try and opened up a checking account. The entire process was quick, informative, rewarding and exceeded my expectations. The account and member benefits at Bellco far exceeded the benefits that I became comfortable with at my historical bank. Every time I open the doors to their lobby they would sing out my name in excitement. The days of filling out a deposit slip are over. I'm in and out in a fraction of the time compared to what I'm use to at the large commercial banks. The employees make me feel valued, they seem invested in my financial wellbeing, and they go out of their way to ensure I am getting the most value out of my membership. They are independently proud not only in their professional role at the bank but also in the influence they have to better our community. I HIGHLY recommend the local GJ Bellco branch to anyone looking to add value to their banking experience. Loans, pet insurance, investments, auto coverage, business accounts... all done in house by their knowledgeable team. I actually look forward to going to the bank! They have convenient hours of operation and the best part... my dully truck fits in their drive thru (it's the little things). I love the ease and convenience of their mobile app. The service extends beyond the local branch. I was really disappointed with this branch. I moved from Denver and thought I was lucky to have found a branch here in junction, but though they are nice, they rarely seem knowledgeable enough to help me out. If I have to talk to multiple employees they don't give me the same info. It also seems hard to get help over the phone half the time.
