To his credit, Brandon sprang into action like a dad who just heard the words "water leak." He showed up at our house that same Friday evening and got on the phone with Columbia Gas. While we waited for them to arrive, Brandon decided to go full action hero--grabbed a shovel and started digging out our gas meter... 3.5 feet down... wearing Crocs. CROCS! I don't know what's more impressive: the dedication or the footwear choice. He then lined up a plumber for Monday, got everything fixed, and even covered the cost himself. The whole experience with Columbia Gas was, let's say, character-building--but Brandon was a total rock throughout the chaos. Look, no one wants their gas line hit. But if it has to happen? You want Brandon holding the shovel. And probably wearing steel-toed boots. But hey, Crocs worked too.
